I had an issue with my landlord a couple weeks ago. I’ve been on rent control here in SF for 8 years. My initial lease stated that I could not move any other permanent residents into my apartment. Not even a significant other. What a joke!
My landlord tried raising my rent by 20% when he noticed my GF basically moved in. I needed to do some research.
