Dr. Schulz has been my dentist for over 37 years. Over that time span, I have had numerous procedures including a root canal, a bridge, and several veneers. Dr Schulz always demonstrated clinical excellence in my care and my mouth and teeth are healthy and beautiful.

Dr. Schulz is very professional, always straight to the point & what I appreciate the most, he will do everything he can to save a tooth.

If you’re looking for that old fashioned, but up-​to-​date, professional, skilled dentist, check out Dr. Schultz. My last dentist, with whom I had a 20 year relationship, was good, but his dental hygienist, May, was much better. When she no longer worked at former dentist office, I followed her and decided to switch to Dr. Schultz, even though his Stonestown location is far less convenient for me. The office is nothing fancy and you won’t get some of the bells and whistles a more modern dental practice might offer, like earphones and music, but Dr. Schultz and his staff are wonderful, caring, professional, and he’s just a darn good dentist. Dr. Schultz also does cosmetic dentistry and I suspect his fees for those services are way below what a Union Square dentist would charge. He evened out my two front teeth which were slightly chipped and did a fantastic job. He was very honest with me when I approached him about further cosmetic dentistry. Although he could have up-​sold me, he did not. He also performed some very successful gum surgery. I could have gone to a gum guy for the procedure, but I wanted Dr. Schultz to do it because I had so much faith in him. Lynn, the practice manager, is great as well. I think she’s been with Dr. Schultz forever and it’s obvious she’s the glue that holds the office together. Dr. Schultz is all business and knows his business, and underneath a sort of gruff and professional exterior, he’s a hell of a nice guy and is the Nordstrom of dentists.

I’ve been to a lot of dentists. Unless you have serious problems, the most important part of a dentist’s office is the hygienist. This is the person you see most often. Dr. Schultz’ hygienists are super professional. I have learned a lot about taking care of my teeth from them, and as a result of their cleaning my gums have improved considerably.
Dr. Schultz is a bit expensive, but very competent. He also does not push expensive procedures you don’t need. I definitely recommend the office.

Ok, here is the deal with Dr. Schulz… he is an excellent dentist and he expects his workers to do their job and focus on the patients. He doesn’t like it when they fool around chatting with each other, fix their hair or all that other stuff that some dental staff do (i.e., Dr. Matt Kiisk’s office). Dr. Schulz is a dentist who is into preventive care, he wants you to take care of your teeth so you have them forever. I have been a patient of his for over 20 years. My childhood orthodontist recommended him to me when I was a teenager. Dr. Schultz got me flossing right away and on a sonicare toothbrush. Because of this my teeth are in great condition. I actually worry that he will retire and then where will I go!!! I had to go to Dr. Matt Kiisk for two years when an employer gave lousy dental insurance. I never asked Dr. Schultz if he would still see me. What a terrible experience I had with Dr. Kiisk. All his dental staff would fix their hair then put their hands in my mouth, they would socialize in the hallway and keep me waiting, they had to run to another room to get the tools they needed leaving the suction thing in my mouth. Their was definitely a lack of professionalism. at Dr. Kiisk office. They hygenist would tell me all about her boyfriend problems while she was cleaning my teeth AND she expected me to answer her! I was so glad when I switched employers and got dental insurance Dr. Schultz accepted. In my opinion he is one of the best dentist in the city

I used to go to Dr. Schulz, but I had to stop because he became just too expensive. He charged me $ 3k for root scaling and was constantly treating me like a 5 year old talking down to me for not taking better care of my teeth when I was doing everything he told me to. I should have known something was up when he couldn’t keep a hygenist for more than a few months or that when he partnered up with another dentist they’d only stay with him for maybe a year. Add to all this that when I had dental insurance he’d charge more so that I ended up paying the same.
