Loved it! Came on a lunch break from Academy of Sciences with three kids. Seating is a little tight but service was fast and very accommodating. Shakes are ice cream based and they added on a little bacon at no charge when my son changed his mind. Thanks! Clean and the burgers are large — self service condiments made my burger customized and beautiful. Guy behind the counter was very friendly.

Love love love Jenny’s burger in the sunset district of SF! If your in the 9th and Irvin/Judah/GG park area there is no better burger! Look for it as it’s easy to miss,(on 9th between Lincoln and Irvin) and you would regret that if looking for a serious burger! Warning! Bring a bib or have a few napkins! No matter which awesome burger you order, it’ll be messy! Especially after you add your own stuff to an already stacked burger!(6,8,16oz) My fave has to be the challenger burger! But any and all are amazing! Love the bacon double cheeseburger and southwest burgers too, they are meals though! Be warned! But also, Heaven on a bun! So, If you love a good burger, this is your place! Bring it to The Little Shamrock, Mucky Duck or Yancys Saloon close bye and watch the game even, having a beer with this just takes it to a whole new level! Highly recommend Jenny’s burger to all burger lovers!

One of the best burger places ever! Their Chili Burger is AMAZING and I always keep coming back for more. Their condiment bar is self serve so it’s perfect for picky people like me. Staff is also very friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone near the area. Only thing is that it’s a small place so finding spots to sit a may be a little hard.

Burgers were HUGE and delicious! I read a few reviews that talked about poor service, but we had excellent service – the guy behind the counter joked with us and talked us through the condiment bar when we told him it was our first time. Onion rings were well fried and crispy, more breading than onion, which is EXACTLY how I like them. And the curly fries were very tasty, too. Next time we want a burger in the Sunset, we will definitely be back!

Really dude??? This is how you do business? I won’t spend my hard earned money at a business I’m not wanted. Because of you lack of customer service we went to next door to the gyro place had an amazing customer service and food. Your loss not mine. Next time have a little smile on your frown face and make money. I heard good things about your burger but you ruined my appetite. Thanks but no thanks!!! Quick friendly service. Very tasty burger. I had the Hawaiian burger with cheddar cheese added. It was really good. So was the cookies and cream milk shake. Quaint little no nonsense burger spot with self serve toppings so that you can personalize your food to your standards. They have a nice rotating grill over an open fire. My burger was cooked to my specifications. My family and I went to the San Francisco Zoo and was looking for something quick and easy afterward. The prices are fair for what you get, especially in the city. We will return. Good job Jenny’s!

Jenny’s is a good spot for burgers! We came in over the weekend after the Academy of Science. Our family actually was eating at Gordo’s next door but my son is not a fan of Mexican food so we came in to get a cheese burger and fries for him. The burger was a 1/3lb charbroiled burger that packed a lot of flavor for just having cheese and ketchup on it. The seeded bun was toasted and my 5 year old loved it! The fries were golden brown and service was fast and friendly!

My family loves this place. Everyone is super friendly and we love the condiment bar. They really make you feel welcoming and the burgers are huge! We recommend the turkey burger, the bacon cheeseburger, the crispy sweet potato fries and the yummy chocolate shakes. And add the sautéed mushrooms on top! Enjoy.

Aside from the fact they alleged they had no more bacon while we saw bacon, they refused to make what we asked for because«they were busy». Glad you can’t be bothered to make what a customer asks. «Jenny» herself was the one who did it.

What an extremely satisfying burger! My boyfriend and I just happened upon this place on the way to the park. It’s so small and cute, but there’s nothing small and cute about their burgers. I don’t know when I’d ever be around that part of town again but if you’re reading this and want a burger and you’re debating on whether or not to go in, JUSTGOIN!

At first glance, the place is rather small. It was very busy and our orders took about ten minutes which was not bad at all. My only complaints would have to be the prices, for about $ 8 I would have an 8oz hamburger with provolone cheese and avocado and bacon. But the fact that they have a little toppings Buffett where you are able to add as much toppings to your burger as you like, such as lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, relish, etc. easily makes up for it. Also the water cups are really small, it’s hard to get up because of the small space, also because the water jug is placed by the register so you would have to cut through the line to get water. Burgers: My friends and I ordered a total of four burgers, the western burger, the avocado bacon burger, Hawaiian burger and the avocado burger. They were all delicious and filled us up. Fries: We also ordered chili fries($ 4.50) and regular fries($ 2.55). The chili tastes fresh and the fries were also good, but could improve. They tasted a bit bland. Milkshake: We ordered one Mint milkshake. And it tasted as a mint milkshake should taste like. The perfect balance of ice cream and milk. Overall great place to eat at. The vegetables also looked very fresh! As if they had their own little garden back there! Would definitely come again!

What do you do when you’re in Golden Gate Park with four kids, all of whom are threatening to rebel if you foist yet another unusual ethic cuisine upon them on the ninth day of your California road trip? You have lunch at Jenny’s. The burgers were good. Everyone can customize their own. The bacon is great, the burgers are flame-broiled, and the buns are nicely toasted. The place is VERY small, so your six-person family is going to be crammed. But it’s cool, we did find seats– and it’s an affordable stop in a non-affordable city. If we ever find ourselves in Golden Gate Park again, with kids, I’ll come back.

I’ll be honest. The gaudy pink sign for Jenny’s burger was never appealing to me. and the interior isn’t one where one would sit down and eat comfortably(fairly small cramped space to fit 6 – 8 people), definitely catered to those looking for a quick bite or takeout orders. BUT, my friend wanted a burger, and he wanted to go to Jenny’s burger. I trusted him, so in we went! I’m glad he brought me in though. I learned that Jenny’s burger is a pretty damn solid burger joint that makes their burgers to order over A FLAMEBROILEDGRILL. Right in front of you. The patties look pretty hefty and homemade. I hadn’t tried it myself(I wasn’t hungry) but it looked pretty juicy and delicious. Standard toppings are self serve and just the basic lettuce, tomato, and onions. I only had the curly fries which were fried to order and satisfied my greasy needs.

as far as burgers goes, this is the best I’ve had in San Francisco! this little burger shack is in short walking distance to the Golden Gate Park. inner sunset have so many good small neighborhood restaurants that I really like, and this place is definitely one of them. actually I really think that Jenny’s burgers is the best burger restaurant in the whole San Francisco. self service toppings, great french fries, perfectly cooked burger based upon request, and so many varieties to choose from. so many sides, so many options. I love their cheese burgers cooked medium rare with avocados, and getting myself lots of raw onions and jalapeños and mushrooms from the topping bar. Best Burgers in SF.

I came to Jenny’s on a Saturday afternoon with 3 other people and a husky :). Jenny’s allowed us to bring Ninja the husky inside. The place is really small and I could see how it could easily get crowded. I ordered the cheeseburger with pepper jack. PROS: 1. Customize the burger however you would like with the wide variety of the condiment bar which includes different veggies, toppings, and sauces. 2. Burger was nice, juicy, and I loved the crust on the meat. 3. I liked that the burger came on a tray with a piece of wax paper on it so you can wrap your burger in it and catch all the drippings with that. 4. Dog friendly :) 5. They had hand sanitizer I’m never really around this area, but it’s a fair price for the quality of the burger and you could always stack up on whatever toppings you want to make it massive. I didn’t end up paying but I think the price of the cheeseburger would’ve ended up around $ 6.50-$ 7 after tax. Definitely a place to check out especially if you want a furry pal friendly place.

This place. It was the first restaurant I went to since I got back to Japan. Granted I got a little messed up and couldn’t get out of bed for 2 days but still, I made an effort to go out with my friends and we ended up at Jenny’s burger. My friend chose this establishment based on the reviews and they don’t lie, it’s literally a hole in the wall with plastic hot pink chairs and an interesting rotating grill with a self serve condiment bar. We walked in and my friends ordered burger after burger, and when it came to my turn, I ordered the bacon avocado cheeseburger with them onion rings. Waiting time was quick and we went up to grab our food and boy that patty was large, larger than I expected, and those onion rings were colossal, not the puny onion rings that you get at other places. The condiments at the self serve condiment bar was fresh and we had our pickings and went back to our table. That first bite of the burger was delicious. The bun was toasted well, a super juicy patty along with crispy bacon and fresh avocado. Oh myy, my mouth is just drooling thinking about it. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their burgers and agreed it was pretty good. Oh right! The onion rings, they were crispy and delicious. Maybe I should’ve looked for the ranch for them, because for me, I enjoy that paring. Overall it is a pretty good burger place, and if I’m ever in the area looking for a burger, I’ll patron this place again. Cheers!

Overall, I had my doubts about Jenny’s burgers. It’s definitely a small little shop, so the seating area is pretty minimal. However, they have a hilarious rotating grill on which the burgers are cooked, and mine came out perfectly cooked. I went with the Western burger, which comes with cheese, barbeque sauce, and onion rings on top. The burger was juicy and the BBQ sauce on top was an excellent addition. With some lettuce, tomato, and jalapeño’s from the adjacent toppings bar it was pretty great. My only knock is that the sweet potato fries were only average at best. They just lacked taste a bit. I think the next time I’ll just go for regular fries.

The meat of these burgers is seasoned so well. This joint has the the same convenient feel as fast food but is such better quality. The fries and onion rings are great too. It’s only 4 stars because the service isn’t that great.

Gourmet burger’s these are not. Although you probably wouldn’t know it until you’ve had one. Sporting all the trappings one(me) has come to associate with artesianal/high quality /carefully prepared burgers. Served on a metal rectangular plate. Cooked on a circular rotating grill With a DIY condiment bar You get a standard ground beef burger served on store bought bun. Cooked on gas grill. With a DIY condiment bar featuring iceberg lettuce, sliced pickles from huge jars, sport peppers, yellow onions, yellow mustard, red ketchup and more. The expression full kit wanker comes to mind. The expression sheep in wolf’s clothing comes to mind. The expression, I wish I went somewhere else for lunch comes to mind.

A place named Jenny’s Burgers, and it is actually owned by a person named Jenny? Cutesy place with hot pink chairs? Extensive condiments bar? 3 stars already just for window eating! In my quasi-vegetarianism during Lent, it was easy to decide amidst the extensive burger menu, because pretty much my only choice was the GARDENBURGER($ 7.45). It came with a veggie patty, avocado, grilled mushrooms, and onions, and a whole wheat bun(I was amused by how the veggie burger defaults to a wheat bun, assuming all vegetarians are über healthy – but for future reference, I guess wheat bread can be requested). In my opinion the veggie patty was a bit dry, but the toppings were the highlight and made an overall tasty burger. They were so generous, there was an entire half avocado forming a beautiful green dome, which you never see because most places just stick in a few skinny slices. The grilled mushrooms were scrumptious, and the onions were roasted to meltiness(especially wonderful if you cringe at raw onions like me). I also tried some SWEETPOTATOFRIES and I swear, these taste the same everywhere so I don’t know how to review them. Conclusion: Probably the best and only place in the Inner Sunset for burgers(in addition to the UCSF cafeteria). It’s interesting that all these places with good American food are Korean-owned: Art’s, Jenny’s,… I wonder what will be next: v

Der Laden ist zwar klein und unscheinbar dafür stimmt der Rest. Sehr leckere Burger mit Selbstbedienung bei den Zutaten.
