Jeffrey S Jang, DDS

I am a patient at another orthodontist in Tahoe and now I live here in the city. Unfortunately I broke my bracket and was really concerned I would have to drive all the way to Tahoe. Luckily, Dr. Jang agreed to meet me and make the broken bracket more comfortable. He also did this free of charge and he and his staff were very friendly and professional. Thank you!

My daughter has been coming here since she was in 3^rd grade for two phases of orthodontics; she is now a sophomore in high school. Dr. Jang and his staff (especially Rhonda and Erma) are all super nice and friendly.
My daughter has always felt very comfortable coming to her apts. and she really enjoys having such a great smile thanks to Dr. Jang and all his beautiful staff!

Super friendly guy, always greets you with a smile and always wanting to save your teeth, while my regular dentist was always trying to pull out teeth. I loved the staff, only negative part is parking is difficult here. But man is great

I went to Dr. Jang for my braces when I was in 5^th grade. I love this office and his staff! Irma is my favorite — she is so warm and friendly. Even when I call her today to ask her things about my teeth she still remembers me and is as friendly as ever! I have referred a lot of people to Dr. Jang as well because he does great work. Its pretty easy to get an appointment. Also, they have sinks with toothbrushes for you to easily brush you teeth if you just came from school. Dr. Jang is also great about following up with you and making sure that you are happy with your dental work.
If you are interested in getting orthodontic work done, you should definitely come here!

This guy and his staff are a class act. Knowledgeable, efficient and friendly, Dr. Jang was recommend to me, and I’m very happy with him so far.

I’ve had Jeffrey Jang since I was a kid. He did all of my braces work, eased my childhood fears about braces, and was gentle throughout the whole process. Now I’m an adult and go in every 6 – 8 months for a retainer tightening, and the office hasn’t changed. The staff is all super friendly, remember great facts about you, and are all very accommodating. It’s a great choice if you’re going to get braces.

Came here 7^th-​9^th grade for braces. Lots of friendly staff. Very good locations, clean area.
Likes:
— Many magazines to keep you entertained in the reading room
— Seen quickly, no long wait
— Provides toothbrush/​toothpaste to clean teeth before you’re seen
— More affordable than other orthodontists
Dislikes:
— They would not change my bands at some appointments, so I would go sometimes three months at a time with the same bands
— Appointment feels rushed, since they end as quickly as you are seen
— I was left with an overbite
— Never was told how to care for my retainers. Being only 14 at that time, I thought it’d be a good idea to put them in mouthwash to keep tit clean. Decolored my retainers, and I recall Dr. Jang chiding me for it, but I was a bit put off since he still didn’t offer any maintenance advice.
— They don’t seem to care about treatment after you’re done with a few retainer appointments.

When I moved to san francisco I still had my braces on and my orthodontist was in modesto! This was ok, except I always got «pokies» in the back of my mouth and wax just wouldnt cut it. I know other orthodontists dont like seeing other orthodontists patients, but when I called Dr. Jang’s office the office staff was very accomadating and sympathetic to my situation.
And Dr, Jang was delightful! Even though I wasnt his patient he still treated me as one and really saved me a trip to modesto for a 2 minute problem. They didnt even charge, though I offered to pay of course.
Dr. Jang and his staff are amazing!

I had braces only for a year, but Dr. Jang and his staff have been so friendly and approachable.
I had several «emergencies» and the staffs would always say, come on over as if the opening slot was booked just for me.
Although he has lots of patients, he never fails to answer all your questions and addressing your concerns.
He has 2 locations, Noriega and next to Serramonte, very convenient parking.

I was a patient here from 3^rd grade to 7^th grade. I had braces, then retainers, then braces again, and finally ending it with retainers that I still own after six years. After four years of being a metal mouth, I finally have wonderful straight teeth: D
The receptionists, assistants, and Dr. Jang are very nice, patient, and truly care about your health. I always enjoyed changing the colors of my rubberbands. Once I had the metal lining of my braces come loose so it was poking my gums; my mom called the office and they squeezed me in with an appointment the next day. The office is very clean and you can trust the dental tools they use because there are microwaves used for cleaning them. (What else are they used for? Cooking TV dinners? I doubt.)
This place is very homey. The wait area looks like your typical living room. And is that a greenhouse or something near the back? I’d definitely recommend Dr. Jang to anyone. He’s very nice and chit-​chats with you even though his nasty-​tasting gloves are in your mouth.

My daughters have been going to Dr. Jang for a few years now for orthodontic care. Dr. Jang and his staff are always kind and caring. We have always been very happy with the care Dr. Jang and his staff has given us, but not until recently did we know how very blessed my children are to be his patients. My 11y/​o daughter was 90 miles away visiting family when her jaw locked up on her. This has hapended before when she was wtih me and is very painful and scary, even though I had been instructed previously on how to unlock the jaw and calm her down, it had not happened for some time and I was not there to help her. When my daughter called me she was somewhat hysterical and had tried to unlock her jaw. I quickly called Dr. Jang’s office and Irma (Front Office Staff) was able to tell me once again what to do. I was able to relay the info to my family whom were able to help my daughter. Irma was very helpful and reassuring. She has always been very nice during our office visits, but this was an emergency and she was genuinely concerned and able to walk me through what I should tell my family to do to help my daughter. Dr. Jang also called that afternoon to check on my daughter. My daughter was able to continue her visit with her cousins. I did not think this was going to happen during her initial call, she was so upset. I would give Dr. Jang and Irma, and his staff a big 10 out of 10 and highly recommend them if you need orthodontic care for your family. I will also like to say my older daughters teeth and bite are beautiful. Thank you

I’ve had straight teeth all my life, but a couple of years ago two of them started to shift. I’ve noticed that happens with a lot of adults… and it’s not pretty.
My regular dentist recommended Dr. Jang and he turned out to be great. He’s funny and he isn’t authoritarian like the guy who did my daughter’s braces.
He gave me the rundown on all the possibilities and I got what I was interested in, Invisaligners. He’s used to working with adults, so it didn’t seem weird going there.
It’s been easy working with him, no problems at all. The office is attractive and the staff is great. Seriously, every one of them, from the two women at the desk who deal with appointments and accounting, to the others who help with fitting.
They’re all easygoing and have a good sense of humor. It’s been a good experience, and the Invisaligners were a breeze.

I have to write a review for Dr. Jang because of his enormous amount of patience and humor. Let’s see… it was 1994 when I first met Dr. Jang and got hooked up with some braces. He was old school back then and didn’t believe in anything other than the standard metal mouth to get the job done. Which he did quite beeuteefully. But 13 years and 5 retainers later (I never learned my lesson and kept wrapping those bad boys in tissue) I came back last October because my teeth had shifted a little. I got fitted for a new retainer (with sparkles!) and I’m proud to say that in four months my teeth look like the braces just came off yesterday! Thanks Dr. Jang!
