Dr Const and allllllll of his staff are by far the best in the biz! Don’t even live in SF anymore but still go see them! They are incredible. I love getting my teeth cleaned there. So personable and friendly!!! thank you!

Dr. Const and his superb staff have provided my dental care for two decades now and I wouldn’t dream of going to any other general dentistry practice. They took a guy who was terrified of just setting foot in a dentist’s office, requiring tranquilizers for even a simple cleaning, to someone who genuinely looks forward to my visits to the practice. Sometimes now I’m so at ease (w/​no tranquilizers) they have to nudge me to keep me from taking a nap. Dr. Const and his staff are as close to family as healthcare providers can be. I highly recommend the practice with absolutely no reservations. The view’s not so bad either! Other posters are correct that Dr. Const is the only dentist I’ve seen in over half a century who personally calls the day after a procedure to check on my status. Kudos Jim, Jori and Terry.

Best. Dentist. Ever. ‘Nuff said. I have been going to Dr. Const for years, and not only is he awesome, his staff is amazing too. Jori and Terry are so kind and always put me at ease. Dr. Const is compassionate and genuinely concerned about his patients — he always calls the day after fillings or caps to make sure you are doing okay. He also recommends the best when you need something he can’t provide. (The endodontist he recommended this year was as kind and funny and his staff was also amazing.) I can’t recommend Dr. Const and his practice enough.

Like so many people, I have a lot of anxiety around visiting the dentist. Just going in for a cleaning usually causes me to go into a state of panic. But Dr. Const and his staff are so skilled, so professional, and most importantly so kind and caring, it makes the dental experience a truly pleasant one. Their office is so beautiful (the views are spectacular) and the equipment is all state of the art. I have never worked with a better dental team than Dr. Const and his colleagues!

I wish my 5 stars would leap from the page. I wish I could describe to you how fearful I am of dental work, and then underline for you the number of times Dr. Const has called me after an appointment to follow up and make sure I was okay. The times he had to go so much slower to accommodate my nerves, and even though that wrecks his schedule and so many others would dismiss me with a bit of an eyeroll, he and his team treated me with such dignity and patience.
I have been his patient for more than 15 years — for teeth, I would never go anywhere else. When I lived abroad for three years, I came home, in part, to have him look after my teeth. His entire team upholds his standards of transparency, kindness, warmth, and excellence. Honestly, one of the best medical professionals I have ever seen.
Don’t go anywhere else. The best.

A visit to Dr Const’s office was nothing you’d expect of an ordinary dentist office. It feels as though you’re walking into a welcoming serene spa. The office has coffee and biscotti in the waiting area. There’s a fountain and chimes in the entry way and one of the best views of the San Francisco Bay. Not to mention you’re not waiting long with an appointment. The staff is friendly and efficient. Dr Const is charming, knowledgable and welcoming. He treats you more like a guest than a client and interested in helping you meet your needs. I had just completed my long 2.5 year braces adventure and my orthodontist recommended me to Dr. Const for some final touch ups. Dr. Const did an amazing job! I would recommend him in a heartbeat for anyone looking for general and specialized dental work.

If you want to wait weeks before you get an appointment then this is the dentist for you. They just don’t seem to care that you have to work to pay for their extremely costly services. It’s like a take it or leave it relationship.
Dr. Const has been my dentist for several years now. I do not go to the dentist very often because it is so hard to get an appointment with him. I always feel as though there is a bit of an uppity SF atmosphere at his office, which I don’t like.
I had an appointment the other day and I was extremely unhappy with his support staff. His dental assistance told me conflicting information about my teeth, and didn’t seem very good to me. I had a hole in my crown and she said I didn’t, even though Dr. Const told me years ago I had the hole.
They told me it would take six weeks to get an authorization from my insurance company for a filling! I complained to Dr. Const about this, and he said that’s the amount of time they give the insurance company. After I left Dr. Const’s office I called my insurance company and they said that I did not need an authorization for a filling!
The next day, Dr. Const sent me a «Dismissal Letter,» saying he was terminating our relationship as patient/​dentist! It’s funny because the day before he had the nerve to send me a survey asking me about my experience and wanting feedback. I guess you can’t complain and always have to say positive things about him or he will take it personally.

Dr. Const is the best of the best! I recently had a traumatic dental experience and felt untrusting of dentists and terrified of getting any dental work done, but I really needed to get some things fixed. A friend recommended Dr. Const, so I left my dentist and decided to try him out. OMG, I am so glad I did. He has completely restored my faith in dentists and in dentistry. He is patient, kind, and informative. He made me feel completely at ease, and was intent on getting everything done correctly. My mouth and teeth are so happy! His office staff is so friendly and helpful too.

Dr. Const has been my dentist for over a decade now. His professionalism is outstanding and his dentistry technique is impeccable. Dr. Const truly cares about his patients and it definitely shows. His tools of the trade, so to speak, are always cutting edge and modern. His staff is friendly and attentive to every detail. His office is quite impressive in style and cleanliness, I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. Const, I’m so fortunate to call him my dentist, I guarantee you’ll feel the same.

Amazing Dentist. Absolutely loved him. Went in for a full mouth consultation and found him to be very honest and sincere. Has a Very conservative approach to his work.

The best! I moved to SF 2 years ago and got a recommendation from my daughter to see Dr. Const. Beautiful office space, fantastic staff, and the amazing Dr. Const. Had to go for emergency root canal and the office saw me at 8:00 this morning in order to set me up with an endodontist for a same day procedure. Not only did the staff work hard to get everything ready, but Dr. Const actually made the calls to the insurance provider for the coverage on my policy and walked me down to the other office and checked on my progress dueling the afternnoon. Incredible office, service and staff. Thank you for your professionalism, concern and kindness.

Doctor Const has been my dentist for a while now… not only does his office and staff provide fantastic services under «normal circumstances»… but Dr. Const actually opened up his office during «off hours» to take care of a crown the fell loose in the middle of lunch — and I had a VERY important business meeting /​dinner later on that evening.
I was so grateful for Dr. Const to open up his office for me — and was surprised to find another person coming in right after me (also after-​hours)… so I could tell that I wasn’t the only person that he provides this level of attention and service for.
His staff deals with all the insurance paperwork and issues (and hassles) — and they provide accurate and details reports. He’s an extremely honest and ethical guy — who I don’t think has ever had a bad day… — and it is surprising how many of his clients he knows by name — and how many of them great him like a friend (instead of a dentist or no-​name medical service provider.) I refer folks to him ALL THE TIME — and every friend I refer is always happy with him as well.
BTW — I can trust Dr. Const — and he has been very understanding and helpful in providing options regarding insurance plans and what’s covered… — as well as working with me on a strategy so I can get what is needed within my budget and without a lot of insurance issues /​hassle.
Cannot recommend Dr. Const enough! Sincerely!

The staff at Dr. Const’s office are always pleasant, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. I find that Dr. Const is fair in providing all the options available when it comes to having dental work done. Plus, the dental hygienists are gentle and are able to explain all matters of dental issues and answer any questions about what work may need to be done.
In addition, I remember a couple years back when Dr. Sura actually walked me over to another office on Post ST. and introduced me to a root canal specialist for a second opinion.
It’s truly an amazing dental office with excellent staff and I’m so happy to have found a reliable dentist, who does quality work.

Everything about Dr. Const’s flawless work, warm & welcoming disposition, beautiful office and wonderful, skilled team is 5-​stars. My teeth were in need of a true artist and that is what I found in Const. I have sent 5+ friends to him — all of them thrilled.

The best dentist I’ve ever been to. Dr. Const is knowledgeable and caring, the staff is wonderful and professional. They make real investments in technology and systems that help you see and understand how and why they’re treating you. They also invest in other things that are not so obvious but still very important, like digital x-​rays so they can get results immediately instead of having to wait for film to be developed. (This may be common practice now, but they were early adopters of this.)
Caveat: They’re excellent, so they tend to be busy. (I personally wouldn’t want a dentist that didn’t have many other patients…)

I’ve never actually interacted with Dr. Const. But his second-​in-​command, Dr. Alkesh Sura, is downright incredible. I could blabber about the office and his professional-​yet-​personal manner, but it’s Dr. Sura’s expertise and willingness to share that really got me.
Dr. Sura thoroughly explained his reasoning behind each procedure (e.g., this tooth has a cavity that I’m going to fill because that molar is getting a lot of wear and it could get worse; this tooth has a cavity but I’m not going to fill it because with good preventive care you won’t have to worry about it). Besides fulfilling my personal interest, his walk-​throughs made me feel empowered, like I was part of the process. Plus, I never felt like I was getting any ‘hypothetical fillings’ or other work meant to scam more co-​pays out of me. No other dentist has made me feel this way.
Dr. Sura is just another reason to stay in the Bay Area FOREVER.

My last appointment with Dr. Const was just a couple weeks ago in October 2010. He and I made note to each other that I have been one of his patients for just over 20 years.
I will not change to another dentist, even if I move out of state.

After living in San Francisco for 3 years and NOT going to the dentist, an old crown fell off so I had to go. A good friend told me about this office and now I“ve been going every 4 months for 5 years! Dr. Const is great, and his staff is professional, caring and VERY competent. Their office is beautiful and convenient to my office in the financial district. And they have early office hours so I can get my cleaning done on the way to work.
I think what I like most about the practice (besides Pat) is that there is consistency in who you see as your hygienist. I’ve only seen 2 different hygienists in the 5 years I’ve been a patient.

I’ve never understood «dentist dread,» perhaps because I’ve never had anything seriously, truly terrible done to my mouth at one of their mercies. But were I a member of that particular club, certainly the ambience and service of Dr. Const’s office would immediately put me at ease.
They have a beautiful office with a spectacular view of the city — which you can see from most dentist chairs (before you’re horizontal). The receptionists and hygienists are always extremely friendly, and although they have a nice magazine selection in their lobby, I’m never waiting for long.
On my second trip, I had to sit through several procedure (filling, tooth capping, etc.) and to pass the time I was offered a MOVIE while they drilled. I watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s on a special goggle contraption, and before the movie was over, I was done.
I would recommend you ask specifically whether your insurance plan coves procedures IN FULL — I sent the bf here, and unfortunately he ended up paying a lot out of pocket because he didn’t realize Dr. Const was out of network.
