I was introduced to Jake to see if my three cars and home can be covered better. Thank Jake and his staff helping me transfer my auto and home insurance policies. Fast service, get all done within few days. Jake is professional enough to drive more than an hour to inspect the house n i really appreciate his effort. Jake explained to me about auto insurance coverage for my 19 year old daughter and how we can get the best coverage with competitive premium. Everything was explained in details and in layman terms. I wonder why my previous agent never mentioned all these important information. His team of staff followed up real quick.

Great service from Jake Ng and his team. I have everything insured through State Farm (3 autos, house). Not mention a life policy for my wife and myself. Prior to owning a home, we had renter’s insurance through them.
With their knowledge and the discount double check, I have saved a lot of money through the years with this office.
I have no complaints nor any issues dealing with this office for the past 10 years. Recently, I received a visit from Jake who was in the area for a conference. He took the time to explain all the ins and outs of life insurance and it was me who initiated the request for insurance. There was never any upsell or attempt to get me to buy something else during the process.
We did the initial application and payment right in my living room. His office followed up with me several times regarding the medical appointment and stayed in touch during the underwriting process. I was up and running with a life policy in about 3 weeks.
Of all the agents and insurance I have dealt with in my lifetime, Jake and his team is simply the best. His office never puts down any competitors and stays professional at all times. It’s never an issue to get service from the State Farm claims department (keep in mind the agent is seldom involved in the claims process).
State Farm is very easy to deal with and they are fair when it comes to claims. I have had nightmare situations from the good hands people and the 3As. Those companies turn against you when you attempt to make a claim and play games with the payment posting. I never had any issues with State Farm.
I handle my payments online and it makes it very easy for the local office to set up policies remotely. I would recommend this agent and would also recommend that everyone have a online profile with State Farm. Very convenient way to pay via credit card or to reprint any proof of insurance cards.

Transfered our policies to another agent. It took more than a month. I asked them 3 times (2xs with same office staff, once with Jake) to transfer the policies! There were actual phone conversations, not voicemails.
Ended up working with a State Farm administrative office to get it done. According to customer service, one phone call to the agent was all I needed to do. The transfer process takes up to 10 days to complete. I spent an unreasonable amount of time on the phone trying to get it done. Adding more time writing this long review.
After over 13 years we found this agent to be unresponsive, unavailable, unprofessional and disrespectful. We finally voted to change agents this year.
Why did I even have to select a star for this review?

Jeff is AWESOME! I called the office after receiving a flyer in the mail claiming they could save me money. Sure enough, I have been able to secure the exact same policy at a 30% savings compared to Allstate. Jeff made the process simple and effortless for me. He took the time to answer my questions and took pride in educating me on the policy I purchased. I will be sure to post another review if I ever have to submit a claim (knock on wood).

I agree with the below statements that this office is inept. Their service is slow and I am constantly receiving mis-​communication from their team. I moved here from FL and switched my policy over in June. I have been loyal to State Farm ever since I have had my license and am very disappointed in this office’s service. In August they increased my premium (without my knowledge or correspondence) and withdrew $ 500 from my bank account as I was on auto-​pay. It is now mid-​september and they still can’t give me a valid response on why they didn’t communicate the change to me earlier. I requested to speak with Jake, as his minion Fanny couldn’t assist me and could only apologize for the mis-​communication. All in all, I will be transferring to a different agent. This is ridiculous service and I hope State Farm corporate looks into their office.

The prior review is right. This office is inept and I simply don’t trust them. A week before going on vacation, I bought extra insurance for the trip, telling them exactly what it was for and when I was leaving. Two weeks into the vacation, they sent me an email saying I’m not covered because the information I supplied three weeks before was not sufficient. The service is terrible, slow, and they make mistakes. Today I received a notice on my auto insurance, «You may disregard the notice of cancellation previously sent to you.» WTF? Do I have insurance or don’t I? I’m switching agents.

Excellent knowledgable service from Jake and team. I have been a client for over 25 years and the few times I have had a claim to make on either home or auto the entire experience was handled with extreme care and professionalism. The new office space is quite nice as well. When it comes to finances and wealth remember this:
It is not how much you make that counts.
But it is how much you get to keep.

Jake Ng has been our agent since 1997. Jake has the most astoundingly helpful, upbeat attitude; above all his customer service is consistent and extraordinary. Jake seems to take his mission to be how to make me the customer free to pursue life, while he attends to the minutia of insurance claims. We recently had a gnarly incident with a car… (my own stupidity)… Jake was there the whole time championing my cause with State Farm. His advice was to relax and let him do the heavy lifting. He even got his daughter Adrienne involved; Adrienne learned well from her dad the art of client service and hard work. I do not know how State Farm compares with other insurers… but it would not occur to me to shop insurance since I can’t imagine losing Jake as my agent. Check him out… you won’t be sorry!!!

Take this review from someone who has recently suffered a loss due to this office’s ineptitude:
Don’t waste your time with this office. It has been a nightmare dealing with my home owners and auto insurance with Jake and his staff.
Since September, I’ve modified my homeowners and auto insurance once. It was a simple change: homeowners was to change the house to a owner-​occupied, and auto insurance was to update an existing policy to my new address.
Since my requested change in September, I have contacted them and visited them about 7 times to clarify paperwork issues! 7 times! They keep messing up the policy and paperwork, and THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO INITIATIVES taken by the staff to clear up the issue, or to ensure the policies they sold were active.
Every time you ask them a question on a change to a policy, they just say «yes, everything is taken care of, nothing to do on your end», etc etc.
And the icing on the cake?!: I needed to make a claim. State Farm Claims Department calls me and said my insurance policy was inactive b/​c I didn’t make a payment! Jake’s office never bothered to follow up on billing and transfer my bank account information from a prior State Farm agent to their office and new policy.
In separate conversations regarding the policy in question, I was assured that my payment would be successful! I went into the office twice with my checkbook to attempt to make my payment, and I was turned away with the reasoning that my checking account on file would be charged appropriately.
The scariest part was, my wife and I had UNLIMITED LIABILITY for 2 months while driving daily. We could have been thrown in jail and sued for everything that we got because of this paperwork mishap, and lack of attention to detail.
Thanks Jake Ng’s office, you guys really F*#ked it up this time. I am switching to another State Farm agent and, asking my in-​laws to switch their home, life, and auto policy as well. What a waste of time and money with this office. How are you even in business if you can’t process paperwork correctly and ensure your staff follow through with all the issues?!
This office will not be collecting sales credit on my premium payments in the future again. There are so many well-​reviewed, excellent State Farm agents in the city, Jake’s office is the odd-​ball, with many poor reviews and almost no positive reviews.
Edit: May 2014, the other reviewers comments regarding his advertising is true. I continue to get junk mail from him. He needs to cross his mailing lists with people who are already other State Farm customers or people like me who have transferred accounts away from him due to subpar service.

No idea what other two reviewers are talking about, Ng’s office is excellent. They cut my rate almost 30% from my last insurance company. They also offer alot of discount for less frequent drivers, which was really helpful. I was just finding their phone number to update my discount with them but it shocked me to see such horrible reviews so i decided to write a fair review for this office,

Don’t use them, they are terrible. These folks don’t know what’s called communication and if you need anything changed on your policy, it will not happen. You’re better off elsewhere.
