We were so blessed to have Philippe and Soojin capture our wedding. Philippe was the first photographer I met when wedding planning. I loved his work, professionalism and warm personality from the beginning, but being new to the city I thought I should at least meet with a few more studios. There are other good studios out there, but for your wedding (and really anything worth hiring a photographer for) you want the best, and Jade Studios is THE best!
They made everyone feel comfortable and special at the same time. Somehow they took pictures in so many different settings in so little time, without making us feel rushed. Our favorite is a picture in basically the lobby bar of a hotel, but the way they took the image it looks like we are in a james bond film in the 18^th century — or some place much cooler than the lobby bar anyway:).
On top of the photos being incredible, the albums that Jade creates are truly works of art. We will always be grateful to Philippe, Soojin and their team for giving us such a beautiful reminder of our wedding day.

what can i say about these guys JSP Visuals is hands down the best! My husband and I had a total catastrophe just two weeks before our wedding and we were lucky enough to find JSP to meet our photography needs for the wedding. the experience with Philippe and his team was amazing! Philippe is an extremely professional individual and when he says he will treat your wedding like his own… he means it! he was extremely prompt and had endless amounts of ideas for poses, photos, suggestions, etc.

Being a makeup artist and having modeled, I’ve worked with numerous wedding/​fashion photographers from all over the world. Philippe is the most thorough, thoughtful visionary/​photographer/​business man I’ve met to date. He anticipates the client’s needs before they do. He’s married the worlds of cinema, fashion, design and bridal so that the client is getting stunning images because of his expertise in all of these areas. And considering his accomplishments and level of clientele that he’s dealt with he could easily be snooty but he is kind, warm, and genuine. He truly cares about the people he works with. Let me start off by stating that 5 stars does not do justice to Jade Studio Productions!!! I had the honor of meeting the head honcho himself Mr. Philippe Lee at my dear cousin’s East Indian wedding this past Labor Day weekend (2012). He and his crew were with us for the ENTIRE 4-​day-​in-​a-​row wedding extravaganza (or should I say Marathon?) and I must saw my entire family AND social circle was BEYOND IMPRESSED with Jade Studio’s work! It was a complete pleasure to be around them all weekend long as their demeanor was not just jovial, warm, and welcoming but it was obvious to ALL that was observing them in action how EXTREMELY professional their style of command is…
As with any wedding, one can only hope that the ambiance, the beauty, the emotions, and especially all the love that is in the air is captured — and Philippe’s team MORE than outdid themselves! Thanks to Philippe & crew’s tasteful work, my cousin’s wedding was transformed into a WORLD CLASS event that ALL are still in awe of and talking about daily… One absolutely WORTHY of being showcased in a top notch Bridal Magazine in the least!!!
Not only did Jade Studio capture all of the aforementioned, but most importantly the photos he took of the Newly Wedded couple are BREATHTAKING… So much so that I humorously (but semi-​seriously) think that the Bride and Groom should consider a career change from the Medical Profession to Modeling… And mind you I am not joking at all… If you ever have the priviliege of viewing Nina & Harmeet Bedi’s images, you won’t be able to do anything BUT agree!!!

I want to give my review of Philippe’s team from a commercial shoot perspective. I needed to find a photographer for a nationwide apparel company that could capture authentic moments and emotion for an ad campaign. This person needed to have a strong understanding of our strategy and how to turn this into a solid creative output.
I give Philippe & team 5 stars in every category:
1) He worked with our budget and delivered on his promises in every detail of our negotiation.
2) He was extremely responsive in calls/​meetings/​emails prior to the shoot.
3) He over-​delivered with a full team (lighting assistant, etc.).
4) He brought a sense of expertise and leadership, while listening to the client and delivering on direction/​requests.
5) His team came on time and had amazing work ethic.
6) Although well-​established in the wedding industry, I can say that he was able to apply his skills to a commercial shoot very well.
I have high service standards and am very happy with the experience and outcome. I would recommend Jade Studio Productions without hesitation.

I needed to update my professional image. My LinkedIn photo was over 6 years old. In addition to a head shot, I also wanted just wanted some nice photos of myself. A friend of mine recommended that I contact Philipe Lee.
I reached out to Philipe and he was very accommodating regarding scheduling the shoot. The shoot was conducted at their very cool/​interesting studio on Treasure Island. I was immediately impressed by the richness of the atmosphere created by the space.
You can tell that Philipe is a people person. We quickly established rapport. The shoot was great and he was very helpful in suggesting poses, stances, and facial expressions. I was very happy with the end result of the shoot and now have a good number of great photos that I think capture the exact image I was going for.
If you’re looking for a quality production I highly recommend Jade Studio Productions.

I got the chance to work with philippe and the jade studio production team over two years ago. Since then we also worked on photo shoots, engagement shoots and on weddings. As a makeup artist working in the industry for all these years, I see the way how photographers interact with their clients on a regular basis. Philippe by far is the best, he communicates and always thinking ahead on how to get the shot that the clients are looking for. Although i know nothing of the photography world, but i do know when i see a good photo is being delivered. Can i also rave that jade studio production’s graphic them also does one of the most amazing job i have ever seen?
I came across a few negative comments about their work and it seems to me that «high pricing» has bought up in all of them. I personally believe that you get what you pay for and philippe’s work including his professionalism is worth every penny. So if you think you can get a photographer at a cheaper price? by all means, i know they are out there. But trying to get the entire package from JSP’s customer services to the jade production team that are working for you behind the scene so you can have the finishing photos to brag about to your friends?! are nowhere to be found. With that being said hiring philippe and the jade studio production team is your best investment!!!

I have to say Philippe and his team at Jade Studio is AMAZING!!!
I started looking for a photographer over a year before my wedding date (May 26, 2012) and through lots of Internet research and referrals from friends and family Jade Studio Production was definitely on my top ten list. I have to say I first fell in love with JSP by browsing their website. After spending literally hours on looking through all the pictures and watching all the videos I knew I had to make an appointment to go see them. I showed my fiancé their website and he agreed to go on the appointment. When we showed up to our appointment I was so impressed with everything from his mannerism, professionalism, attention to detail, his creative thoughts and ideas, his excitement for our day and how patient he was with us I knew instantly I wanted to work with him.
My fiancé of course made us look into other photographers and even though we saw some good ones we BOTH were in love with Philippe’s work and we felt comfortable with him and that was also very important to us. We also knew that with all the money and stress you go through in planning a wedding, and knowing the day will be just a blur we wanted good pictures and video. If you have to cut corners on other things to pay for a good photographer I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Trust me the day is the slowest yet fastest day of your life and after wards I can’t tell you how good it feels to keep looking at your photos and loving it!!!
JSP takes photography and video to a different level and once you see his work and accomplishments you will understand. His wife is so lovely and I instantly felt comfortable with her when she showed up in my room. JSP is so friendly and professional, everyone in my wedding party couldn’t stop saying «wow I have never seen a crew like this». With all the stress that day I felt so at ease that my pictures were going to turn out great and that’s so important and in itself is such a relief.
JSP is not only an amazing photographers but Philippe was also helping with coordinating and making sure all the important events were occurring in a timely manner and making sure he captured all the important events! He helped us in our cake cutting by telling us what to do and how to do it and how to drink our champagne after wards. We would have never gotten great shots without his expertise. Most photographers just stand around taking shots. However Philippe and his crew were involved in our wedding to make sure we got all those «special shots» and we are so grateful and thankful to them!
I had such a wonderful experience working with such an amazing crew I will definitely use them for all my special occasions and can’t wait until I can work with them again.

I’m constantly searching for talented cinematographers to direct & produce my business and personal websites; as well as photographers to document my interior design and events projects. I had the pleasure of meeting Philippe Lee and took a tour of his amazing photography studio. I learnt that Jade Studio Productions is a premier cinematography and photography studio.
Jade Studio sets the highest bar in professional cinematography. They have built a top notch studio much like you’d find in Hollywood, Broadway NYC, Bollywood, etc… They direct and produce professional TV corporate commercials, as well as artistic cinematography. They produce some of the most interesting and beautiful work I’ve ever seen. They also rent out their innovative studio for events, such as cocktail and dinner parties, and team building events.
JSP are leaders in Commercial and Editorial Fashion Photography. They work in a wide range of styles with unique creative detail. They truly know how to inspire and capture the best in every moment.
I was pleasantly surprised to view the amazing albums they create. Everything from wedding albums, baby albums, product albums, event albums, project albums (such as documenting building new homes and construction), and my all time favorite is the Memoir Album. The Memoir Album is a beautiful compilation of ones life. For example, an endearing gift for parents and grandparents which include old photos of ones life. I want to have one made for my mother!
It was also inspiring to see their conceptual work. They take any concept and make it into a video or photographs. They have a «KIll Bill» reenactment where they shoot amazing scenes with clients who «act» out the scenes. The images are fun and thrilling!!!
In addition to everything in 2D and 3D, they shoot gorgeous Weddings, Engagement Photos, Family and Baby Photos. The most professional I’ve ever seen.
I highly recommend contacting Philippe and his team for all your corporate and personal needs in cinematography, videography, photography, creating albums and more.

As a designer myself I’m a bit picky on who i choose to take my pictures. I’ve worked with many photographers and viewing the end result with Philippe… it was no doubt i would HAVE to go with him!
One of the most wonderful experience i took from Jade studio shooting my photos was the crew, they were friendly and made sure all my basis was covered… i loved how all i had to do was to just show up.
Though I’m comfortable working behind the camera but being in front of it is all whole new world I’ve never had to deal with. Yea… funny jumping shots, funny faces, even planking… easy… but to look natural and picturesque??? yea… not easy for me but they knew how to direct me and shoot all the right angles… u know how everyone has that ONE angle… i found out i had more than one through his photos :) and that even me… i can look like a model. haha
I really wanted to write this review to thank everyone at Jade!!! Thank you for making a regular gal like me feel really pretty… and (dare i say it…) HOT! haha

Simply exquisite… probably the best way to sum up our experience with Jade Studios. We were so fortunate to have worked with Jade during our multi-​day /​multi-​event Indian wedding in San Francisco. Having just gone through the process, we know that 5-​star gushing reviews tend to lose some credibility, but we can’t contain our enthusiasm. We highlight the most important things below but without a doubt would highly recommend Jade Studios.
Photography: If you are looking for the highest-​quality photography and have budgeted accordingly, Jade should be at the top of your list. From photography to editing, their creativity is second to none. My wife and I met via Facebook and the graphics team at Jade created an amazing «Facebook Themed» movie poster for our wedding that all of our guests still rave about. We got the raw pictures a week after the wedding and they’re amazing (imagine what they’ll look like when they’re edited). The Jade team captured the color and culture of an Indian wedding while preserving our emotions and the beautiful architecture of City Hall. We also did a studio shoot and their facility on Treasure Island is incredible. SO many different «scenes» to choose from.
Staff: The best part about the Jade team is that they make you feel extremely comfortable. Engagement and wedding photos require natural emotion, however often times my wife and I were anxious. Philippe and his wife Soojin just make you feel at ease and in love (you can totally understand why they are so happy together). They have the most calming voices and creative eyes. They truly captured our emotions and personalities in the photography (laughter, love, silliness).
Coverage: There were 2 – 3 photographers at every event (sometimes 4 or 5) and we ended up with over 9500 photos. Not a single shot was missed and somehow they managed to get every important family member /​friend. The best part about it was that we hardly noticed them throughout the events. Like every wedding, we were running behind schedule and the wedding party was all over the place but the Jade team managed to scramble alongside us ensuring that we got all the shots we needed /​wanted (and they didn’t even complain!)
Album: We have yet to create our album (needed to take a break from wedding overload) but one of the main reasons we chose Jade were the albums. Their library of past work is absolutely stunning — like something out of Grace Ormond — and we can’t wait to see our finished product (and will update this post afterwards)

I had the most amazing experience with Phillipe and the Jade Production staff. I’m not a model just an average girl who wanted to capture this time in my life. I walked in nervous and self conscious about my body, insecurities raging and to my relief Phillipe and his staff put me to ease and made me feel so comfortable about the days photoshoot. After hair and makeup, we drove to his GORGEOUS studio in Treasure Island. We shot over 6 – 7 different sets but my favorite was the bouduir shoot. They capture natural images even you didn’t even realize were happening. Pictures came out absolutely beautifully!!! What’s even better is they know how to use Photoshop!
Phillipe is a phenomenal photographer!!!
Hands down! Nothing else can compare. Jade Studio Production photos raises the bar.

A year and a nine months after I leave my review for their TERRIBLE customer service with my fiancé’, Jade finally leaves a response, and then blames my (now) wife for her tone? Like they actually remember the conversation? I was being nice with two stars previously, but after that BS, you get the bare minimum.
Weak…
No response would have served you better.

I hate to give a negative review, but unfortunately we did not get good results with Jade Studios as our wedding photographer.
Let me start by saying that we were really impressed with their work when we visited their studio so we booked them right away without looking at other photographers (*mistake #1) (FYI their basic «Jade» package was $ 6900). As the wedding process proceeded, we needed to cut our photography budget, so when we told Philippe (the owner) that we wanted to downgrade, he basically told us that he could no longer guarantee that he or his wife (also a photographer) would be able to make it on our day.
Fast forward ~9 month or so, I never arranged to go over a list of shots as most wedding magazines recommend (*mistake #2) because based on the amazing work I saw on their website and at their studio, I assumed that they knew all the great shots to take and they had worked at our venue before, so I wasn’t worried.
Both Philippe and his wife show up to our wedding along with a third photographer (I guess with the bad economy, they were not double booked on our wedding day). Great, the more the merrier. We started off with getting ready shots and a boudoir shoot. Some of the poses he had us do were a bit awkward and it ended up showing up that way in our photos so unfortunately I didn’t like most of the boudoir shots. At the time, I didn’t say anything because I wasn’t a professional photographer; I assumed he knew what he was doing and that the pictures would turn out better than they actually did (*mistake #3).
Next we headed out for some outdoor shots, and again I wrongly assumed that we would be taking shots of a very famous bridge in the background. But it never happened; we took lots of other nice photos, but we didn’t get THE shot that I had been looking forward to. Again, I kick myself in the butt everyday because I do not have any photos of my husband and I with the bridge in the background and I didn’t say anything about it (*mistake #4).
We also provided meals for the Jade team during the dinner service, thinking it was the nice thing to do. Unfortunately that meant that we received a lack of photos of our guests during the meal service. Most importantly though, we had NO photos of our parents and elders who were sitting inside which was surprising given that the venue was very small and these were our PARENTS. I was sad not to be able to give my parents nice photos of the family at dinner. Again, this was something that I didn’t tell Philippe (*mistake #5).
Lastly, I wanted to comment that when we received our photos on a disk (we opted for untouched raw photos to reduce costs), which cost us $ 500 alone, we got 2 unprofessional-​looking CDs with handwritten sharpie writing on it.
Overall, if you decide to go with Jade, do not overlook the importance of telling them what you want! No matter how good a photographer, they are not mind readers and don’t necessarily see the vision that you see.

We came to Jade studios for the Style De Vie (formerly The Indulgence Lounge) event. It was a Luxury Lifestyle Event with The Luxe Residence!
Jade Studios is located in Treasure Island Studios, and during the event, they had Ferrari Maserati of San Francisco there to represent the finest in vehicles that were parked on the driveways.
We were in the VIP Lounge where they had complimentary tastings of Tequila by Los Osuna and a Martell Cognac tasting with Martell Cognac Brand Ambassador Antoine ‘Jet’ Duong.
Prima Jiva designs had a great runway show with beautiful models. The best part was when they modeled with the Avatar theme.
What’s great was we entered for a raffle to win cosmetic laser treatments, and we won!!! :)

We took our 9 months old daughter for her first photo shoot to the Treasure Island location. The place is amazing, nothing like it in the Bay Area. It’s like walking to a movie set, there are so many different background, props, colors, texture and lighting. These props are not the typical cheesy canvas background that they just pull down. They are actual set pieces like a movie set.
Our daughter was amazed and happy to be there. And more importantly we got great photos. The natural sets and lighting made very vibrant, interesting and really captured our daughter’s energy and personality.
Everyone there was very nice and professional. They are very good at working with our daughter. Our pictures came out very unique and we highly recommend to everyone.
This is so much more than the average photo studio, it is a memorable experience. Everyone should go there once to experience it!

Yul and I were extremely impressed during our photo shoot with Philippe at his Treasure Island studio. Every photographer has their niche and because we liked the uniqueness of Philippe’s style, we knew his artistic angle would add the glamour and movie-​like results we wanted. Yul’s goal was to re-​define his look after Survivor. The photos from Jade Studio will add a different dimension to Yul’s portfolio. We hired the Jade Studio team to cover our big fat East Indian wedding this coming fall and we couldn’t be more excited. Yesterday, my fiancé and I met with Philippe for our Studio Fashion Session and to put it simply, we were blown away. We paid a visit to «Memory Lounge,» their brand new studio on Treasure Island. When we arrived, we weren’t sure what to expect, as we’d never done this sort of thing before. Philippe immediately put us at ease, taking us on a tour of the various sets and backdrops in place throughout the building. There are a variety of sets to choose from, ranging from traditional to casual to high fashion. Paying special attention to our outfits and the colors we were wearing, he chose an amazing sequence that combined Indian tradition with high fashion and cinematography.
This session was originally supposed to be just us with Philippe as the primary photographer. Just as we started our session, the other Jade team members slowly started to jump in. Chad and Ryan pulled out their cameras and were quick to offer great suggestions. Then Kirk and Frederic showed up to help and the next thing we knew, the entire Jade Studio team was fully engaged in our photo shoot. These guys are not only talented, they truly love what they do –and it was evident by the time they spent and their willingness to do whatever it takes to get the perfect shot.
Suffice to say, when we saw the images on their cameras, we were blown away. This is a wonderful studio and we feel truly fortunate to be among the first to be photographed there.
Jade, you guys rock! We can’t wait til the wedding!
