Inline Bodies Rolfing® and Massage studio is owned and operated by Sasha Cardenas, Certified Rolfer,™ and Licensed Massage Therapist.

Sasha specializes in Rolfing® Structural Integration, Deep Tissue Massage and Pregnancy Bodywork. Drawing on her experience with Structural Integration, she brings a slow, gentle approach to her bodywork– going deep without triggering the body to be defensive. Sasha’s work is compassionate, intuitive and collaborative. In additon to her education and professional training, Sasha draws from her experience in dance, acting, professional singing, collegiate level sports, sports medicine, and coaching to meet the needs of each client who walks through her door.

I had an awesome massage here with Emily. She is warm, friendly, and really listens to what you are looking for. She customized the massage to hit all of my problem areas. The massage was incredibly relaxing and I left feeling so much better than when I came in.

Gayle is both grounded + intuitive. She has helped to loosen muscles in my jaw (TMJ), the technique is painful yet offers long lasting relief.

Sasha has magic hands. I’ve tried a lot of massages in different parts of the world, but she has a perception of your body as no one else. She can tell the sore spots just by touching them. I’ve been seeing her during my pregnancy and her massages are the best. I can totally relax and unwind and I always leave feeling much better. I totally recommend her. She is simply AWESOME!!!

I had my first appointment here the other week, it was wonderful! I did the TMJ release which has really helped with my tension headaches. Sasha was professional, knowledgable and gave me a great treatment. I was so relaxed when I left. I’m looking forward to going back to try out rolfing!

Emily is amazing! As a massage therapist I am particular about my bodywork, and I highly recommend Emily if you want a nourishing and deep experience. Just a few minutes into our session I can feel the trigger points in my neck and shoulders melting — she is precise, intuitive and works with depth and competence. I can always count on Emily to listen to what’s going on a find a way to bring ease into my body when I need it most!

I LOVE Emily’s massages. She is strong, accurate, soothing, and extremely nice. If you are sore, injured, or just wanting a relaxing massage, Emily will provide it. I run a lot and have a colony of knots in my upper back at all times. Emily is very skilled at finding trigger points and working them out in that «it hurts sooooo good» kind of way. Every time I leave a massage with Emily I feel so loose and comfortable in my body. I also get a lot of headaches and within 5 minutes of Emily’s massaging my head always feels instantly better. She is skilled at finding the origin of the pain and working it out. I definitely recommend seeing Emily for your next massage, you will not regret it!

I got a massage from Emily and it was an amazingly soothing experience. She first carefully listened to my previous experience with massage therapy and my pain points to adapt the intensity of her work. I work on a computer all day and practice rock climbing 3 – 4 times a week so my back is really at stress.
Then, with a well-​thought small music background, she started working on my upper back, as this is where most of the tension came from. It seemed like she was magically untangling muscles in my back. Emily masters the therapeutic technique and also knows how to quickly jump to lighter massage to achieve a perfect relaxation of the muscles. I felt more relaxed than I have in a while.
If you ask her details about what she’s doing, she will be happy to explain it in an understandable way that reflects a deep knowledge of the subject, which is very reassuring.
I waited next day to write this review to see if there was a sustained progress and yes, I did sleep better, but I also really feel like my back is more relaxed today.
I am definitely considering coming back and would recommend anyone to go there!

I went to Emily with extreme tightness in my neck and shoulders from a previous injury. The pain was keeping me awake at night, so I immediately knew I needed to get some bodywork done. It was tender to touch, so i was nervous going in. Emily was very responsive to my needs and had a gentle approach in building pressure. She worked her magic!!! I’ve had a lot of bodywork done and rarely leave feeling immediate relief– it usually takes a couple days to feel the effects– but I left Emily feeling immediate shoulder relief. I slept like a baby that night! Treat yourself– get a massage!

Worst experience with Emily. She did my prenatal massage and now my body is hurting like hell. She does not know how to do prenatal massage. Paid $ 150 but it was worst than $ 40.

Oh wow. What can I say about Sasha? She’s basically a body magician. I’ve worked with many rolfers over the past 10 years and Sasha is up there with the very best. She is extremely intuitive about your body. I’ve walked in with significant pain and walked out feeling limber and finely tuned. She also CARES about your longterm well-​being. She gives great tips for how you can maintain the amazing posture you develop through her practice. I recommend Sasha extremely highly! RUN!

I had a massage here for the first time and not only was it amazing but I thought the table was the most comfortable I had ever been on! I felt like I just melted right into it.
My massage therapist was Gayle who was an expert! She has a magical touch and put me at ease right away. I knew I was in good hands because these people know how to align bodies. It was obvious after I walked out of there. I slept deeply that night too.
I highly recommend Gayle and Inline Bodies. I think I may become a regular! The location is accessible and the place is quiet and relaxing.

I got a massage from Emily Adams, another brilliant massage therapist here. I had never before received one so I was a little anxious about the routine, but Emily proved to be exceedingly friendly and put my mind at ease. I had had a shooting pain above my shoulder blade and Emily spent 90 minutes drilling in deep not only on that area, but the various other muscle tensions that were leading to my problem. I was sore for about a day afterwards, and for the past two months I haven’t had any problems. And considering I sit in a computer chair all day, I think that’s pretty amazing! Check her out!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for awhile. OMG. who knew about Rolfing? I was dealing with extreme carpal tunnel and numbness in my hands for probably the last 2 years. I tried a chiropractor… extremely painful use of metal tools on my arms and wrists. Somehow found Sasha… she is amazing! It’s very difficult to describe how it feels getting rolfed, but during and after every treatment I am always blown away. She works with TMJ as well. So the treatments weren’t just focused on my my arms, wrists and hands, but also neck and shoulders. Anyways, the numbness totally subsided. She also gave me a lot of important tips about working more ergonomically. I highly recommend Sasha and Rolfing over traditional massage and especially Chiropractic medicine.

There are certain people who can just heal you– and sasha for sure has the gift.
Every time I go to her I am a little broken– and without really needing to say much, her hands just zone in on my soreness. I seriously silently thank her for pausing longer over all those tense spots with just the right pressure.
Currently 7 months pregnant and my sciatic nerve is making me feel like I’ve been sumo wrestling my life away– but she transported me to happiness that a week later I am still glowing from. Give this lovely lady a try ASAP!
Tip– get the 90 minute. It always takes some time to slow down the inner dialogue– and this makes a huge difference!!!
The location is an easy block and ½ from 24 th Bart.

I had been fairly active the last 10 years of my life (running, step aerobics, gym 5x/​week) but the last 3 years I have slowed down A LOT, and have found that my body is starting to feel old! hahaha!
I read about Rolfing via Bloomspot and was instantly intrigued. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars seeing a chiropractor last year and I’m not sure it ultimately helped.
Inline Bodies is located inside ActivSpace, a very interesting complex of small businesses making their way in the world. Cat Sitters, lots of hair stylists, bike repair!
For a rolfing session, I was already in basic workout shorts and sports bra so I didn’t need a dressing room, etc.
The room is comfortable and inviting. Sasha is knowledgeable and answered all my questions about Rolfing is and what to expect from our sessions. She was communicative and ultimately put me and my body at ease. «Can you relax your armpits for me?»
This is not Swedish Massage! Sasha gives you the atomic elbow and you will like it… My rotator cuff felt better after just 1 session, and even better after 2.
Unfortunately, I am moving abroad to Hong Kong… bummed that my newfound relationship with Sasha would be short. But she followed up with me and sent me info on rolfing therapist in HK! Awesome.
Heard she is locating to a larger space on Valencia and 23rd (above Beretta) so good for her! And good for those who may be interested but don’t drive, this new location is a very short walk from BART.

What a great way to usher myself back into the world of pampering after a 3 year hiatus! I purchased a 90 minute session through Trubates and realized that I needed to book my appointment before it expired.
Sasha is great, fantastic, magical, nice, friendly, and a really good masseuse! She was intuitive and used a combination of tough and gentle in pressure when needed. I highly recommend her!!!

My expectations have been met! Or should I say exceeded. Sasha definitely has hands of steel. If you prefer hard pressure like me, she is the go-​to woman.
I told her a bunch of things I wanted done, and she listened to all my needs and didn’t forget anything I said.
Although she is a bit far for me to drive, it was definitely worth the trip. So lucky for all you who live downtown, you definitely need to try Sasha. I can’t wait to attend to her again.

I’ve been a very happy client of Nikki’s for nearly a year now, and can’t recommend her enough.
She’s remarkably skilled and possesses the intuition of a healer. In just one hour she can undo a month’s worth of stress and poor computer posture for me, and I never flinch once. (A lot of therapists like to unleash a merciless attack on my knots, even though I mention I’m too much of a weenie to handle it.)
Her extensive background in yoga and pilates and study in kinesiology really shows up in her work. She’s often recommended useful stretches and posture tips I hadn’t heard before.
In addition to computer-​addicted professionals, she’s a great fit for dancers, athletes, and stressed-​out moms. So in other words, just about everyone. :)
