3 hour turnaround time to wipe viruses off of my laptop. AVG Internet Security software was installed. Malek was helpful and walked me through a computer test run to ensure all was working smoothly. Was able to use the $ 40 off discount by checking into Unilocal

Being without a computer this 4^th of july and not going on a vacation, I needed my internet to work and Comcast did not ship me the DSL Modem before the 4tho of July. I called Malek and being repeat customer of his, he offered to come on this 4 of July to help me get a new DSL and set up for me and set my new wireless router. I really i appreciate the time he put and Malek appreciate his customers loyalty too. I would highly recommend his services. He is such a great guy to work with.

Short and sweet. I have been here a couple of times. Never again. The first time I felt conned into a sale. The second time he botched fixing a Windows issue. Worst of all Malek presents himself as some computer repair superhero.

I went here to replace my computer charger. Malek provided me with a used charger that initially worked well. A week or two later, the charger stopped working, so I went back to Malek to replace it, because he has a 3 month warranty. At first, he said that it probably wasn’t the charger, but my computer. However, I knew it wasn’t my computer. As he was shuffling through his bin of chargers trying to find one that fits, he continued to blame my computer. Then he found one that fit and worked well. Turned out it, in fact, wasn’t my computer. Despite his false claims, the charger he replaced the 1^st one with works really well! In fact, I’m using it now! I’ve given InfoTech 3 stars, because I wasn’t happy with him jumping to the conclusion that the issue was my computer, without investigating the problem– Not cool.

They gave me another HP Pavilion Notebook as a free loan,
got mine back fixed within the promised time.

He is very personable, knowledgeable, and provides exceptional service in a timely fashion. He even hand delivered one of my computers to me because he was in the area! What service! Update: I had to come back to see if Malek could fix my laptop again. It took a couple of days, but Malek fixed it and explained to me what was going on and what he did to repair it. I admit my computer knowledge isn’t all that great, but he said if anything happens just bring it in. The man has been nothing but positive towards my situation and was very direct in knowing how long it would take to repair. I picked it up 2 days later and have been using it ever since. Thanks to Malek for everything and I once again Highly Recommend his services.

I, the Asian friend who should be smart and know about computer, just want to reply Tim and Malek’s comments but Unilocal wouldn’t let me so I have to start a new comment. I am a regular Unilocal user but never posted any review, but I think someone might find this useful. I’ll make it as quick and clear as I can.
To Makek:
1. Why Tim always went back to you in the past 3 years doesn’t matter, and, of course, doesn’t prove that you are not as bad as he said. If you really want a reason, Tim is not computer savvy and was panic when his computer didn’t work. He was so nice to come to you simply because he wanted to support a local business until I told him I think he got ripped off after he told me he paid hundreds of dollars on his 5– year-​old laptop, and on the top of that, his IT guy told him he doesn’t need a new one.
2. As for those you have done and charged Tim recently, he PAID the amount as you requested ($ 140) and he did appreciate it. After a while, he decided not to put more money on this obsolete laptop when his laptop crashed again, and he made it clear to you. However, you still decided to «save» his computer and charged him. Blame him on not paying you?
3. You said and I quote, «I told you you need to buy an external drive and back up your data. You said you would that was the end of the story. Tlll your friend came trying to get me to recovery the data for 50 dollars.» Dear Malek, I think you skipped the «Tim’s laptop crashed again and I gave him 24 hours to decide whether he wanna pay 300 for his data or I’ll delete them» part before I came in.
4. I didn’t try to GIVE you 50 to get the data back. You asked me how much can I offer and that was simply the ANSWER I gave you. You asked. Btw, how come 50 bucks is freebies?
5. I don’t know what Windows XP you have installed on his laptop, but last time I checked right before his laptop died, his OS was still XP SP2. Never got updated. Also, there was only one 1G RAM on his computer. I don’t know about the security part, but «salvaged all your damaged data from a bad drive?» Please remind me when did you salvage his data? Moreover, if his drive was that bad, why did you keep telling him that his computer is GOOD and he doesn’t need a new one?
6. You constantly mentioned that the whole data archiving process will take DAYS and that’s why you charge him 300 dollars. However, when I came back and said I’m willing to pay but I want it TODAY, and you said yes you can do it.
7. Why you back up your costumer’s data at the first place without his request anyways? If your intention is so nice and naïve (because you know they don’t back up their data), then why do you charge him ridiculous fee when he desperately wanted his OWN data back? Make me feel like BLACKMAILING!
8. He was going to pay you for the data until I truly SALVAGED all his DAMAGED data from his drive. I don’t blame him flaked on you after what you’ve done to him. Gave him 24 hours ultimatum? If the data archiving process is that time consuming, why would you un-​archive all the data and then deleted them if you didn’t hear from him in 24 hours?
9. If there are more than 4 ppl have complained about your dishonesty and more than 6 ppl gave you a 1 star review. (including the reviews in the filter) Maybe you should really think about these during your Thanksgiving vacation. Look at this review in the filter,

10. Last but not least, we are not giving Tim a review here so I/​Yelpists don’t really care about if Tim is honest or not. You are the one who’s running the business so there’s no need to attack him personally. (Intimidate you? Drunk and weird? Very misinformed? Yeah, misinformed by you.) Too bad people on Unilocal can’t HEAR your words. They missed the outrage Tim and I heard on the phone and at the store.
Please correct me if I am wrong. I’d like to see myself in the video tape. Saying that you’d like to post «evidence» on Unilocal wouldn’t make your argument stronger. Unilocalists wouldn’t want to see it. Other than that, it’s your business so you are absolutely free to charge your customers as much as you want.

Where on earth do I begin… I brought my computer in to the (initially) very friendly Malek because it had crashed. I was aware that it was an older laptop, but Malek assured me that I did not need a new one. He fixed it and told me that I had his personal 3 month guarantee that if anything went wrong, I could bring it back in. GREAT! Low and behold, it crashed again 2 weeks later. So, I brought it back to him and made it CLEAR that I didn’t want to spend a dime on it, but if he could look at it. I went in 2 days later, and he fed me some B. S about how I had to pay him 50 more bucks for more memory. I said absolutely not. I made it clear that I didn’t want to pay any more for such an old computer. That’s when things got interesting…
He became extremely angry and said, «fine you can have your computer. I have backed up all your data. I will go ahead and erase it all, and never do business with you again». OK, fair enough, I thought, and went on my merry way. My computer worked for another week, then crashed. and guess what? YOURS TRULY, MR. NITWIT HIMSELF DID NOT BACK UP HIS OWN DATA! Now I panicked… I took the hardrive into Geek squad, and to my shock, they said the hardrive was so trashed that they couldn’t get aything off of it. Now I had to return to Malek! He knew this!
I swallowed my pride, and called Malek and asked him if I could get my data back. MY DATA.Of course he didn’t really erase it. He replied, «IT WILL COST YOU 300 DOLLARS. YOU HAVE 24 HOURS TO DECIDE. AFTER THAT I WILL DELETE YOUR DATA» I could not believe it. I literally lost sleep over this
Cuba photos, my files, my documents. 5 years of my life was in this guys hands and he absolutely knew it.
I sent my nice friend in to try and sweet talk him, and tell him that she had data on my computer and she needed it back. he replied, «YOUR A SMART ASIAN GIRL, YOU KNOW WHAT I“M TALKING ABOUT WITH DATA ARCHIVING.» He claimed it was a long process and would take many hours. I was eventually able to talk him down to 180 bucks. .Let me wrap this story up… My «smart Asian friend» delighted me the next day by telling me that she had figured out how to retrieve all my data off my hardrive, after the Geek Squad told me it was impossible… She is absolutely amazing! This greasy character of a man preys on those who know admittedly little about computers, such as myself… The bottom line is, BACK UP YOUR DATA, AND NEVER, EVER USE THIS MANS SERVICES… AND MAKE FRIENDS WITH A SMART, ASIAN GIRL… Right Malek? DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. READ THE BAD REVIEWS ON THIS GUY… What he did to me was shocking. All of my friends were equally as shocked as I was that someone would do something like this. My experience in dealing with this guy was a total nightmare. Please Malek, Don’t make yourself seem even more revolting by replying. Just let it rest…

This is an update to my last review because I can’t say enough about Malek and InfoTech Solutions! Malek has helped me with multiple problems on two different laptops over the last year. Not only is he knowledgeable, I also trust him emphatically. He explains everything thoroughly and he’s happy to answer questions which is really important when it comes to technical issues you might not fully understand. He genuinely cares about his customers and even loaned me a laptop while mine was being repaired because he knew I was interviewing for a job. That’s customer service!

I brought my dead laptop in to price out a repair. When the repair was too much for me to afford, Malek connected me with someone willing to buy the computer from me.
He was also very professional and personable. I will definitely be going to him again.

Great place to get honest computer repair. I took an old computer in for repair, and now the computer is like new. I was going to throw this laptop in the garbage thinking it is not worth fixing, but for a minimal cost, I have a working laptop with more speed and memory than my old Laptop.
Can’t beat that! Malek was honest and straight forward, and he went beyond what he first promised. You don’t find that at Best Buy, that for sure. He is the man! He can make magic because he is an expert at what he does. Above all, he is honest!

I’m generally a hard customer to please, but I was extremely impressed with Malek’s over the top customer service and prices. On top of this, he’s just a pleasant dude! I had a great time while he was fixing my computer– who knew I would learn about Moroccan culture and get a perfectly fixed
Dell at the same time.
Aside from customer service, his prices are really why I decided to go with him to fix my computer. He’s a lot lower than many competitors.
I strongly recommend him– he knows his stuff, trust me!

Well — this was a very big surprise given the Unilocal reviews but if I didnt do my homework I may not have known they tried to take advantage of me. I brought my computer in because something sticky got on keyboard and it wasnt functioning properly. First Malek told me it was the keyboard and needed a quote from his supplier but shouldn’t be more than $ 60 — after waiting 10 minutes he got a quote of $ 80 (because in is a HP touch screen) plus $ 100 or so in labor and said that MAY fix the problem but there may be other things. I said forget it I would just buy a new computer because I née to be sure plus it sounded high.
Then he said he was sure it would fix the problem that maybe he scared me a bit by saying other things — he reiterated this several times which semed strange.
Also, the fact that my computer is touchscreen shouldnt have had anythng to do with the keyboard which he said would take 5 – 6 days to receive so I decided to leave while he was pushing me to leave it and fill out paperwork. I said I’d call in the afternoon but I wanted to be more comfortable about the pricing and do some research.
Glad I did — I simply googled my keyboard which I bought new including shipping for $ 18 which was delivered in less time than his «local supplier» could.
This experience made me feel really bad because I like dealing with honest people and I become loyal to them. I would have paid him a descent wage to fix my computer but a 300% markup on a keyboard which as it turned out I was able to install in less than 20 minutes and I have never worked on a laptop before — come on!

I’m so lucky that I had noticed the InfoTech Solutions storefront quite a while back when I was going to the Lumiere theater. After 2 weeks of grueling DSL connectivity and spyware problems — and countless hours on the phone with various tech support teams — I finally gave Infotech a call. Malek answered himself and assured me that I could get my PC back within a day. Not sure of what to expect, I was pleased to see his fairly large, clean, and professionally equipped workshop.
I was impressed that his first order of business was to clean the dust out of my PC with a powerful hydraulic air blower. Thought I kept my apartment pretty clean, so I was amazed at how much dust had collected inside. We talked about the PC’s perplexing malfunctions and I returned the following day to pick it up. OMG! …finally a sigh of relief after two weeks of being stuck in cyber-​hell! All connectivity issues were resolved and spyware was totally cleared off. My DSL is faster than ever. Malek recommended and installed a powerful antivirus/​spyware software that works so much better than the mediocre program I had selected and installed on my own.
All in all, he provided super-​fast turnaround, strong technical expertise, and a price that can’t be beat. Malek is so on top of customer service and he’s highly committed to keeping his customers happy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I highly recommend Info Tech Solutions. My laptop had been completely shut down by viruses. I brought it in on Monday evening and by early Tuesday afternoon I had received my computer back in perfect condition. Malek preserved all my data, loaded new anti-​virus software and even cleared the dust from the machine.
Malek provides great service. He got back with me on Sunday to schedule an appointment for Monday. I was kept regularly informed regarding the status of the repairs. In addition to his rates being far lower than his competitors, he also stuck with his initial quote even though the job was more complicated and time consuming than originally expected. Work is warranteed for 100 days. I will definitely go back for any future repairs.

My review is LONG overdue!
Malek was great, communicated with me the whole time and broke down to me everything that was happening.

I have been a customer of InfoTech Solutions for since 2005. Malek has been my go to IT guy. He has helped me with my desktop issues and now my laptop issues. He is very knowledgeable and he knows his stuff real well. He is very nice and pleasant to talk to and even. My laptop recently died on me during the period of my exam and I had to call Malek very early morning and not only he tired to accommodate me before even he opened his office but he gave me a loaner for 4 days till he finished repairing the overheating that my Sony Viao was suffering from. I would really recommend his services and I know that I have been VERY pleased with the work he has done on my laptop and my family’s desktops as well.
