History

Established in 2014.

My name is Marcus Sams and I am an experienced improviser and improv teacher. I started improv as an actor and over time, honed my voice through studying, performing and teaching with Leela, Endgames, Oui Be Negroes, and classes from master teachers across the country. I currently teach my own classes as well as with Leela and the San Francisco Acting Academy. Many of my classes are best suited for those with some improv or acting experience.

My goal: To make you better at improv.

I create a safe space for you to explore your voice and teach the craft of improv by giving you tools you can easily use. I teach you how to trust your instincts by learning to rely on the most powerful guide we have in life, our hearts.

I teach improv that often yields hilarious results. You will learn to go deep into the work and the end product will be intelligent, mindful, and will effect the audience in a genuine artistic manner.
