The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employes, or I.A.T.S.E., (Full name: International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employes, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories and Canada) is a labor union. Originally chartered by the American Federation of Labor as the National Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employes in 1893, its name has evolved over the course of 110 years of geographic and craft expansion as well as technological advancement. The current title, adopted in 1995, more accurately reflects the full scope of activities in the entertainment industry.

Infodiva here. This is a special Unilocal review for my friend, Doug «The Master Jedi Stagehand «Burkman. I am remembering the ALHS Theater’s Cage and Dimmer board. These were some of the best and worst times of my life. Life-​long learning experiences.

Infodiva as a High School Freshman Sept 1978. I was already a seasoned performing vet… trust me. Doug and I may have met in ’78. It was so long ago, I don’t remember. Damm Drugs!!! hahahaha
Dougie would have been a Unilocaler, An Elite, a Moderator. He was all of those things to me. He turned me onto ALHS’s Stage, Spots, Juliets etc… I was an active member of the stage crew all 4 years with Doug. Grease, «You can’t take it with you», Mame, A Christmas Carol etc. ALHS is a performing arts school.
High School is a «Step»… a «Right of Passage». You never know how good it is until it is gone. He would have been so proud of me… of our theater alumni… B.D. Wong SFNative Alumni Tony Award Winner. Look at what we produced at our Alma Mater.
D.A.B. Turned me onto Mendecino «The Proto Pipe» and quality weed. Google it. I am going to write a Unilocal about it.
Few know true friendship enlightenment one’s purpose Doug did. Dear Friend Rest In Peace. Sleep. Value your Health People.
