MY EMAIL TO Unilocal, WHO PROMPTLY REFUNDED MY MONEY AND I PROMPTLY WENT TO ANOTHER DR. TO CONSULT ON IF I NEEDED HIS SERVICES:
Please be advised I purchased a coupon from Unilocal!to see Dr. Monte Fisher, but I have not been able to do so due to his failure to return my calls, maintain an office, maintain regular operating hours and/​or have anything that resembles a medical practice. Today, I informed Dr. Fisher I would dispute the charge to my credit card in the amount of $ 79 and follow up as necessary with another Doctor. I did not receive a reply to this notification.
Here are the facts:
1) I purchased the attached voucher on 05/​12/​2014, paid immediately and the funds were withdrawn from my bank on 05/​13/​2014.
2) I called Dr. Fisher’s office no less than 9 times to schedule an appointment, six of these calls were made on 05/​12/​2014 and the morning of 05/​13/​2014.
3) On 05/​12/​2014 between the hours of 11A and 7P as indicated on the Unilocal!Web listing, I went to the office at the address listed on the website of the Holistic Institute (see attached) on Irving Street. There was no one there and no one responded to knocking.
4) On 05/​13/​2014 at 6:58P I received a voicemail from Dr. Monte Fisher saying «Hey, Sean. This is Dr. Fisher. Sorry, I’m not going to be able to see you until probably the end of May, until between the 25^th, I’ll be out of town. So, if you can sit tight maybe I can honor that Unilocal deal, they were suppose to take that off, but I can probably honor it when I get back. Give me a call and we’ll set something up. You can also text.»
5) I did not hear anything else from Dr. Fisher after May 25, 2014. I began leaving voicemails again, asking for a call back, reminding him who I was and reminding him about his message to me. I received the following text message back «Got your message. Trying to get a new office up and running by July. Maybe sooner…» I replied «Thanks! Any chance I can send you my prescription history download by email and drop by quick before then? Would appreciate any consideration.» I have not heard anything back from the Doctor.
6) Today, as per the attached, I disputed this charge with my bank and will mail in the receipt and other information my bank requires.
I understand Unilocal’s general policy states «the Merchant is the issuer of the Unilocal Deal and Unilocal Certificate and is solely responsible for its redemption, including all customer service related issues.» However, I believe the Holistic Institute of Greater Health is advertising under false pretenses and thereby committing fraud on the general public or is at least acting in bad faith if they do not have an office, if they cannot immediately redeem the certificate they have posted and they cannot be found at the location listed on Unilocal!the Holistic Institute’s website.
Additionally, I believe Dr. Monte Fisher willingly and knowingly left this advertisement and coupon purchase on Unilocal! (at least for three and a half weeks since he left me the voicemail) and he may be benefitting from the sale of a voucher that has no worth.
A reply and a remedy to this situation will be appreciated.

I’ve known Dr. Monte Fisher for many years, so I can tell you his experience includes a wide range of both traditional and alternative medicine. As someone who suffers from a very rare and potentially life-​threatenting illness, I was lucky to know someone like Dr. Fisher. He was able to recomend and prescribe a holistic treatment for me, due to the fact that he actually took the time and effort to look into my rare illness.
An experienced practitioner of Chinese martial arts, Monte also urged me to get involved in an activity such as this. As it turns out, being involved in a physical activity and having fun is an essential part of being well!
Thanks to these vitamins, supplements and a daily physical activity, I’ve been able to really turn my life around. Thanks, Monte!

Got a recommendation here a year ago. The office is nice and for an extra fee you can get a laminated card. I was surprised to find it was another doctor, not Dr. Fisher, who verified me. She was knowledgeable. Medically speaking, she was great.
What’s also great is they were able to verify my proof of address. At the time I only had out of state ID.
Two stars for that. Otherwise, you totally get gouged here for cannabis recommendations. This spot isn’t the real deal for that. See Compassionate Health Options and use their price match on any sketchy spot aka Price-​less Evals.
I got a price quote from Dr. Fisher and I told him I’d ask around for better deals. He told me I shouldn’t bother because other places aren’t «medical board certified.» How are they staying in business then? When I cancelled my appointment on the phone suddenly he mentioned a «sliding scale» and a «student discount. «
Two stars. Offer the sliding scale in the first place. Some of us are not rich doctors.
If you aren’t rich, talk to an accountant, don’t charge me more for it. I might be poor but my bullcrap detector works better than yours.
He’s probably a cool doctor for all of your other holistic needs and is obviously well reviewed, but the bottom line is this is not the SF place to get your cheap recommendation.
The best spot is Compassionate Health Options. Clip an ad from Price-​less Evals in the paper and take your happy, frugal self down there. Avoid Dr. Fisher like jalapeño on your toilet paper. It’s not deadly but later proves to be accidental, long lasting, and bothersome. And avoid Price-​less like you would a wayward sneeze, bubonic plague victim, or losing bowel control.
Update: Dr. Fisher messaged me on Unilocal and asked me to take down my review. No way, bro. This is competition at its best. Power to the people, baby! Pay less and get better service because you Unilocal.Hucksters go out of style here.

Both Dr. Fisher and Dr. Sumchai are amazing physicians! They are both very thorough in their meeting with you. These are the only Doctor’s that I have seen that actually LISTEN and take the time to evaluate and help you with your medical condition (s). The advice and education given on alternative therapies is a valuable resource. Dr. Fischer is a highly trained radiation– oncologist and has seen hands-​on the therapeutic value of holistic medicine.

I’m unable to write the truth about this doctor but he deserves zero stars. He’s very rude, very incompetent. The person who gave him five stars was his girlfriend at the time now ex girlfriend. He’s aweful!!!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I advise ANYONE and EVERYONE to avoid Dr. Fisher at all costs. I only spoke to him on the phone after he constantly annoyed me day after day with phone calls trying to reschedule an appointment I canceled. He’s inconsiderate. He completely disregarded everything I said to him. After I told him I would be out of town, he called me the next day. I told him I was on vacation and he simply replied, «good for you» in a sarcastic, unprofessional tone. He hung up on me mid conversation. He’s disillusioned. It’s a miracle he’s a «doctor».
He called me at 10:30 at night on a weeknight. That alone should show that he exploits the doctor label and only cares about money.

I agree with the other 100% positive reviews — Dr. Fisher is exactly who you want for your recommending physician. He is a very real, highly trained doctor who cares about each of his patients and looks out for our well-​being. He can also make other recommendations for you (lifestyle, diet, exercise, other therapies, etc.) along with ways to maximize the benefits of cannabis for the enhancement of your health and happiness.
I understand Dr. Fisher has partnered with another great physician so they can serve more patients — fantastic! I give Holistic Institute 5 stars plus, and I am one of their patients.

Dr. Monte Fisher is a competent and caring Dr., interested in your overall health and well being. Open minded to the health benefits of Medicinal Marijuana as well as other alternative medicines. His experience ranges from years as an oncology/​radiation Dr. to genetic research, but truly he’s just a really fun Dr.

$ 145 for a recommendation!!! This guy is not only a greedy pig he is also a bad employer as well, take your business to a doc in a box it is way cheaper and you might actually get out of there in 15min or so. This guy is always late and his services are taxed!!!
