Oi, I just exchanged some Aussie dollars. Great rate and mentioned the website for a no fee exchange. Very friendly staff who were impressed by the little Chinese I know. Nimen Shi hen hao.

Called yesterday to ask about fees and if they had what I needed… they said $ 2.00 flat
fee and yes, they had the Swiss Francs and Euros… went today, got them and Li, the
woman there, was very nice and friendly AND helpful! Thank you!

Good place to buy or sell currencies. Flat rate is $ 2, and the exchange rate they gave was better than elsewhere that I called. But, since it is Chinatown, there were some very nosy customers who were all in my business, counting how much I was receiving… which sorta made me feel uncomfortable since it was cold hard cash!

Best rates in town and no fees! Fast and easy! Call them to check rates before going anywhere else.

I needed euros for a trip to France so I called several banks for quotes. They were all in the same range, but all seemed high given the recent strength of the dollar. I then sourced out independent currency exchangers and found their approach quite different from the banks.
They ranged from rude and abrupt to suspicious. The one trait they shared was not offering a quote, but instead asking, what’s the best quote you’ve been given by others. Didn’t really inspire my confidence.
Along the way I found Heng Long.
The woman who answered the phone was polite and very clear in her information: she stated a lower, better rate than anyone I had spoken with and then added, and we charge a flat $ 2 fee.
I went to the shop; the woman I spoke with was there… a small, family business. She was as polite and businesslike in person as she was on the phone. No surprises, changes from what she told me in our telephone conversation.

I called around to check out the rates, and they offered the best for buying Euros. Service was prompt and efficient. Won’t use the airport ever again!

Fantastic. Fast, pain-​free, and got a significantly better rate than Bank of America with 0 transaction fees (mention their website)! What more could you want?
They bought my cash RMB and pesos for USD, but unfortunately wouldn’t accept RMB coins. Luckily I only had a few so it wasn’t a big deal.
Tip: Call ahead to hear their current exchange rates.

This place always trumps travelex or any other foreign exchange house. I have gone here for Euros, Pesos, Reals … Always has best rates and very friendly staff.

This place has the lowest fees ($ 2 for entire transaction) for currency exchange in San Francisco. But, you’ve got to be willing to go with mediocre service.
I recently needed Korean Won, Chinese RMB, and Taiwan Dollars. They had the RMB and TWD, but no Korean Won, so I went to Mechanics Bank, just a few blocks away.
I’d recommend this place, but would go with a friend (preferably someone who speaks Mandarin/​Cantonese) to get better service.

Far better rate and less fees than AAA, Travelex, and local banks

I have been coming here whenever I need to go overseas to get the best exchange rate. I don’t care much about the customer service like other reviewers since it’s mostly a 5-​minute transaction. You definitely get better service in big banks, but you pay 10−20% premium.

I’ve been coming to this money exchange for the past few years and I would recommend it. They are always friendly and only charge a $ 2 flat rate to exchange any amount of currency. They are conveniently located in between Kearny and Grant, near ABC bakery,
