Distance learning via Skype or FaceTime is also offered. All levels welcome. Willing to travel within Bay Area to a location convenient to you for lessons.

History

Established in 2012.

Hatch Music Studio is the individualized music teaching and coaching practice of Jeremy Hatch, a performer and educator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. My mission is to help you expand your creative horizons in music, by helping you develop your knowledge and technical abilities further than you may have been able to working on your own.

I have an extensive background in guitar, piano, composition, songwriting, theory and improvisation, and have several years’ experience working with students from the age of 7 on up (prior to the founding of this studio). Meet the Business Owner

Jeremy H.

Business Owner

A lifelong musician, I studied classical piano as a child and teen — at one point working towards a career as a concert pianist — before my interest turned to jazz, blues, and pop styles. Along the way I also learned guitar in a similar fashion, studying classical guitar (and recording a CD of classical music) before learning popular styles. Today I specialize in acoustic folk and Americana. I’m an active performer, soundtrack composer and songwriter.

As an educator, I have several years’ experience teaching all ages in a one-​on-​one setting, from the age of 7 on up. My teaching experience includes employment at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz for several years as a music theory and improvisation tutor.
