This place specializes in 1 thing. 24k gold. This shop has been around for at least 30 plus years. Family owned and run. I use to visit when I was a kid with my parents and recently visited to pick up a pendant and chain for my son. Price of gold is posted on the wall and they will calculate the price based on the weight. There is some level of bargaining available if you are willing to haggle. If you’re looking for anything other than 24k «Chinese gold» I would look somewhere else. Husband wife team are friendly, nice and communicated clearly in English. It won’t have the décor of Tiffany’s or the holiday cookies but if your looking for 24k gold chain and pendant at good price in the city you would be hard pressed to find a better place.

Ghetto experience with the owner. He doesnt talk to you. Old style. Would not come here.

I’d love to leave a review of the jewelry available here but when I showed up to the store on my lunch break the store was locked and the woman inside (who looked «busy» on the phone) flashed me a sign that read «Appointment Only».
I walked a block away and thought I’d give them a call and make an appointment but apparently the woman was too busy to pick up my call.
Oh well *shrug*, some food for though as I walked back to work in the financial district. Glad I didn’t spend any money at a place that doesn’t want customers…

Been looking around SF Chinatown for a variety of 24k dragon pendant and 24k chains without much success. Read the review on this store and was surprised it only had 1 review which was several years ago. Rather than call, I was in SF and on a whim went to this place. There were many varieties of dragon pendants (along with other types of pendants) and chains. I was pleased at the service I received and very pleased at what I purchased. This place is exactly what I wanted.

This is THE SHOP for buying gold jewelry in Chinatown. I have been coming here ever since I was a wee little lad because my grandparents lived right next door. Whenever my parents needed a gift for various occasions, ranging from a weddings, to birthdays, to baby showers, this was the spot. The majority of the necklaces and pendants I have in my collection today was all purchased from here, including a plethora of dragons (my birth year), the sword of the Gwan Gung (God of War), and Catholic crosses.
One of the traditions for Chinese weddings or birthdays is the gold plated red plaque with a message written in gold lettering. It could actually be for any special occasion, and the wording doesn’t have to be especially poignant. It’s more or less what you would write on a birthday card, but lasts much longer! This in itself would qualify as a nice gift, and would certainly leave a lasting impression.
As mentioned earlier, Chinese zodiac sign pendants or free standing figures are also popular, and make great gifts. They have some small ones for as little as $ 30 – 40 if you are on a tight budget, or some rather massive ones if money ain’t a thing. All the animals are readily available, with many designs to choose from. Luckily, I’m a dragon, and we are superior to all others! j/​k
You most certainly do not have to be Chinese to shop here. Our Caucasian brethren is always welcome. As a matter of fact, even if you are purchasing a gift for another fellow non-​Chinese person, I’m pretty sure they will appreciate it, as it will also show a more cultured side of you. In the meantime, you might even be so inclined to cop a little something for yourself.
Keep in mind that these aren’t the same cheap gold pendants you can get from Abdullah the jeweler at Serramonte Mall. These are all genuine 24K. Also, if you have some old worn out pendants that need cleaning or a meltdown, such services can also be provided. This place can get a bit crowded at times, and as with all jewelers in Chinatown, the owners have to buzz you in when you ring the doorbell, so make sure you don’t look shady.
