The older guy who runs the place is super nice, took the time to help me find what I needed and made sure it was going to work. Gave me a discount on the marked price as well. Now it may well have been a bit high for a curtain rod even with the discount but being the least handy person I know, I would have happily paid more just for the helpful advice.

I call him papa! He always gives me the best advice to solve my handyman problems and if he doesn’t have it he sends me where to get it! Thanks Papa

Super sweet old man made my key copying experience a joy! Super nice guy with lots of wisdom. Got 4 keys copied for $ 11. Will definitely be back!

All I needed were a couple of plastic anchors(they sell loose nails/nuts/bolts/anchors here). Mr. Haji was very helpful even though I spent less than a dollar here. Such a nice and pleasant gentleman.

This place is terrible. The prices are expensive compared to the other hardware stores in the area and their service is horrendous. Another thing that bothers me is they advertise they open at 9AM, but only when they feel like it. I contacted the store owner at 9:20AM and asked if he would be opening the store on his scheduled business hours because I was waiting out front. He was extremely rude and said he didnt feel like it, and told me to come back another time. AVOIDTHISPLACE!

The BEST shopping experiences I’ve had in a long time. The owner, Haji, is absolutely wonderful and knows what old-fashioned customer service is all about. I was looking for a place closeby to get a key copied and stumbled across his Unilocal reviews. Had to check it out and Haji didn’t disappoint. Not only did I get my key copied but also walked away with some other things I needed like window screens and a cleaning brush. It’s a great little store and if you browse, you’ll no doubt find something you need around the house. Prices are reasonable and he takes credit cards too! There’s also a great selection of persian rugs and jewelry in the back! Really beautiful stuff! This will be my go-to place from now on. I hope this little shop stays around for a long time!

AMAZING!!! I brought a Stanley Utility Knife in that i needed help to install. The guy fixed it and refused to charge me because it took him alittle time to fix and i didn’t buy it there. It was like a hurricane outside and he said that if i could do anything for him it was just to try 2 weave out of every rain drop to keep my face dry. SO… SWEET!!! It’s a good but unexpected location– i HIGHLY reccomend this place. If i need anything fixed or need a hardware supply i will go here. Haji is amazingly sweet and so is the other guy that fixed my knife. Who knew customer service like that still existed. I’ve never left a business feeling more joyous in my life. Come here– you absolutly won’t regret it.

I’m really glad to have this place nearby my apartment. The older guy that works there(a white guy with a southern accent, so I’m not sure it’s Haji) always takes the time to make sure I find everything I need. One time I went in to get a key copied and it turned out they didn’t have the right blank to make it for me. The guy didn’t hesitate to tell me exactly where I could go to get it done at another place nearby. Now THAT’S service, and why I always come here first if there’s anything I need. Unfortunately, I’ve never been to Haji’s when there was more than one other customer there. I really hope this place stays in business because it’s such a great«mom and pop» type of store. If you live in the area, definitely go to Haji’s the next time you need any hardware type stuff. They need your support, and they do a really great job.

This place rocks. I went in to get a copy of a key, and the really nice, friendly gentleman behind the counter made copies, and then was very quick to send me somewhere else because my original key was so worn that he couldn’t guarantee the copies that he made. I thanked him and offered to pay, but he said he couldn’t take the money because he didn’t think the keys would work. I get home, and they work… so of course, I’m going back on Monday to pay him. Now THAT is customer service. He’s made a fan for life.

I’m a sucker for nice old people, so 5 stars. I don’t know how this place is even in business since everything has a thick layer of dust on it, but you can find what you need if you’re looking for more-or-less disposable tools in a pinch(as I was when I had just moved into my current neighborhood and was setting up my place). Whoever it was manning the register(not Haji I believe) was awesome. He just started spouting off random gibberish from the moment I entered the store, and when I came to checkout, this guy charged me completely random prices on everything. All items were priced lower than originally tagged, so no problems here. What puts it over the top was that there was another older gentleman sitting in a chair completely passed out and snoring. Didn’t stop counter-guy from trying to include him in our conversation though. I’ve never fully understood ‘charm’(I usually equate ‘charm’ with ‘sucks terribly’), but I think Haji’s Hardware has it…

It’s like a magical mystery hardware store. The owner is a great guy. Went with my then girlfriend and we even got to take a tour of the custom wood furniture workshop in back. Haji is a notary, too.

The other long-time guy there, Van, was most helpful pulling down a color selection of rolling shop-carts from the upper back loft, and, turns out he was a one-time drummer with santanna… great service, and good people… did meet«the haji», and folks, he does have the secret to life…

I needed a notary and Haji’s was the winner of the closest-to-my-apartment-and-currently-open-contest. The owner(Haji?) was hilarious and made my first experience with a notary quite entertaining. He may have referred to me as «lady» and it was kind of hard to understand his thick accent at times, but all of this just added to the fun of it. I was in and out in about 10 minutes and paid $ 20 to get him to notarize some basic paperwork. I’ll be back if I’m in need of a notary again in the future!

I give Haji 5 stars because he is so sweet and charming. I never meet nice people like him in this town. I usually have to fly at least 4 hours away to get that kind of treatment.

I’ve gone here to get keys made a number of times and I don’t mind telling you that Haji is some sort of bodhisattva. He’ll start with an innocuous remark about the weather, which will inevitably wend its way into deep observations about God, karma, and free will. If you are thinking about climbing the Himalayas and finding some sage to discuss the meaning of life with you, save yourself a trip and go see Haji instead.

Haji is the nicest guy you can imagine, in or out of the Hardware business. I went to get a key made at Ace and they screwed it up. I foind Haji’s by accident, but he made sure the key was a perfect match. He was so incredibly helpful and nice that I wish I had a ton of money to spend there. You don’t get service like that at Ace, True Value, or Home Depot!

Remmeber HAJI! I sometimes dropped into this hardware store on my walk home after work if I needed something simple like a lightbulb or whatever. It certainly is no Ace Hardware but they always seemed to have what I needed and prices were ok. I spoke to the man there once and he said to me a number of times: REMEMBERHAJI! I guess he was«Haji» I haven’t seen him for quite some time. I wonder if the other guy is his son perhaps. Anyways. I never forgot Haji.

A strange little hardware store but they got some things for when I’m lazy and don’t want to walk all the way to Brownies.
