The Practice SF is built on the belief that superior dental care is just the beginning of the patient-doctor relationship. Dr. Gregory J. Conte and Dr. Paola Guglielmoni strive to offer patients both the highest level of periodontal expertise and personal attention to every patient’s concerns and desires.
The Practice SF has one guiding objective: to preserve every patient’s natural smile for life by working with the patient to maintain optimal oral health.
History
Established in 2004.
The Practice SF began as a periodontal practice in the 1980s. Dr. Conte joined the practice and became a partner in 2004. Dr. Guglielmoni joined the practice a few years later and became a partner in 2010, when they changed the name to The Practice SF.
Their philosophy of care is to help every patient not only manage periodontal disease and restore lost teeth, but to do all they can to contribute to the patient’s overall health and well-being.
Every year, medical studies show a direct link between oral and systemic health. Early treatment of periodontal disease can help to prevent systemic conditions such as heart disease and stroke — or point to symptoms of these conditions.
Meet the Business Owner
Gregory C.
Business Owner
Gregory J. Conte received his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1990. Following a general practice residency, he completed his Certificate in Periodontics and Masters Degree in Oral Biology from the University of California at San Francisco in 1994.
Dr. Conte served for several years as an Associate Professor in the post-doctoral program in periodontics at UCSF. He is a member of many professional organizations including The American Dental Association, The American Academy of Periodontics, The Academy of Osseointegration and the California Society of Periodontists, where he served on the Board of Directors. He is a Fellow of the International Team for Oral Implantology.
