Greg Mountain, American designer and artist, works in the language of material expression, mixing metals and woods, found and manufactured pieces to craft beautifully simple and entirely original pieces that resonate with both their aesthetic heritages and the unique sentiments and worldview of Mr. Mountain. In other words, Greg can bring a punk rock sensibility to a Shaker table without losing the essence of either tradition. And this mash-up of styles and attitudes cuts across expected lines of interaction to arrive at astoundingly handsome work.
