This company is a best kept secret by high architects and designers. They specialize in high end custom windows/​doors but also sell all the top commercial lines. They are busy because few other places do the high quality work that they do. I’ve bought many windows and doors from them over the years, as I believe in replacing any window that is visible to the street with dual pane reproductions. Their craftsmanship and materials are simply the best. If you love your old wood windows and want to replace them with new energy efficient ones to match existing… they are the best. Precision and integrity are the hallmarks of their service. They also built a 2″ thick oak front door for my Spanish Mediterranean home and it is a masterpiece. First time visitors linger at our front door admiring it. Truly a piece of art that is so solid and so well built, I’m sure it will survive for at least 100 years. Worth every penny to get the right doors and the right windows, especially since the city has strict regulations about replacement windows that show to the street. Beautiful, old world craftsmanship.

I called this afternoon to ask for someone named «Big Jim». He is the guy my best friend referred me to cause I’m looking to replace my front door. He told me that he was «the guy» I needed.
The guy who answered the phone said «keep on looking cause he’s no longer affiliated with this company» after I said I was looking for ‘Big Jim’. I said, «oh, okay» and then he hung up immediately before I could even ask his name and if he could do an estimate for me anyway.
What a very bad way to do business. Maybe they don’t need anymore business?
I would never call a company who performed this way. First impressions mean a lot to me.

I spoke to Mike and he was very straight-​up and honest. However, when I tried to call back the next day to place an order for a door, I was unable to get a hold of anyone. I called multiple times, left a voice mail, and two messages with the person who picked up the phone and still never heard back. I even told her I was calling to place an order. It was so strange. I wanted to do business with these guys, I’m sure they do fine work, but in the end, they made it literally impossible for me to.

I called these guys up as I needed a new door. Mike Scafani was a real professional from start to finish. He took the time to explain all the ins and outs of how to measure properly for my replacement door. I would recommend this shop to any one.
