Go Go Sushi

Overpriced. Ugly interior. Mediocre service. Bland grey food. There is no good reason to go here.

Go Go Sushi made me Go Go.
It’s close to work. The servings are small. It cost me 10 dollars to get moderately full.
The fish was clean, bordering on even sterile, so there was no fear of crapanilla, or whatever the bacteria du jour is. The miso soup was made with chunks of Styrofoam soaked in lava in liu of the usual tofu. Odd? Yeah.
I was sated. Til about 3 hours later I felt the Japanese baby kickin, OH MY!
Even with that fun time afternoon break experience I’ll visit again just not often. For a few bucks less and half a block closer I can get mediocre Asian food by the pound. And that is a blessing I guess?

fast and reasonable, but not all that good… everything is pre-​packaged to go, so if you have to get something on the run it’s ok. but definitely not the best sushi i’ve had.

Trying to compare Go Go to a good sushi place, is sort of like trying to compare McDonald’s to Harris’ or something… Good luck! On the other hand there will always be a time and a place for a nice tasty Big Mac. and sometimes at lunch Go Go Sushi is not that bad an idea. Just not that often.

moshi moshi? is more like mushi mushi here– japanese in theory, but sort of a british version of sushi. although they do skip the mayonnaise, thank god, it’s still slimy, somewhat flaccid food.
but i like to rate things in terms of what they are– not against fine dining. it is called go go after all. and it’s a great, healthy grab and go pit stop (as opposed to a jamba juice, which is the illusion of snappy health). it is real food. granted, i was disappointed there were was no gratuitous go go dancing inside, but there were unecessary tv screens, which is japanese flair enough for me in sparse settings.
nb: their wasabi is weak– shock your friends by snorting a pastey line of it.

Sushi is prepackaged (fresh daily) so if you’re on the run, you’re in and out of there really fast. The sushi is really tasty too. The avocado rolls are $ 2.95, the California rolls are $ 3.95, the Donburi is $ 5.45 or $ 5.95 (I forget exactly but you have your choice of chicken, unagi, or salmon), and the Bento box is $ 7.95. If you want the big sashimi variety lunch, it’s $ 10.95.
And get this, they have mochi for $ 1.35. It’s NOT the ice cream mochi; it’s mochi dough with red bean paste inside. Very addictive and I noticed on the package that it’s made in Japan.
Everything is prepackaged except for the donburi. But it’s still very fast.
My only complaint about the donburi is that there’s not enough sauce on it. But that’s a very minor complaint. Also, I’ve only ordered it once so maybe next time, I’ll ask for extra sauce and see if they’ll do it.
They have some seats inside… not many but I notice that everytime I go, if I want to sit down, there is a spot available. I always bring my food back to the office though.
Tasty, convenient, and quick. Definitely go go sushi.

Mediocre in a temperate climate. Definitely better sushi elsewhere, and when the hotate leaves a funky taste right thereafter, that is always a bad indicator of worse things to come.

The sushi is not very good. Alas, I am a sucker for preboxed sushi and would pick some up here in a pinch anyway for lunch. Like Nicole C. says…“it does the job”– Curbs your hunger but doesnt satisfy your pallate. The staff is very nice.

While this is definately no high class with great service, it is also cheap for that reason. You’re not going to get some nice japanese waiter/​waitress waiting on you. You go and you grab, grab, and grab some more, and then pay ^_^
Or. order something that is hot. I go her for lunch every now and then. It’s perfect, 5 dollars at max for a donburi, 3 bucks for a packaged up sushi thing. I wouldn’t come here for dinner but it definately satisfies the craving when you want it and that works for a quick work lunch ^_^

For sushi that’s already in the little plastic boxes when you arrive, GoGo Sushi is actually pretty decent. You can get eight California rolls for $ 4, and while it definitely tastes pre-​made, it’s a good place to grab a quick lunch when you’ve spent three-​quarters of your lunch hour prowling around H&M.

Sushi to go. It is cheap and great for lunch. Personally, I usually get the Teriyaki Chicken Donburi instead of Sushi. But every once in a while I get the Spicy Tuna and a Crab roll. For under $ 5 you can have a good, fast lunch. No Bathrooms here.
I went in today though and was disappointed to find that they had replaced all of their crazy Japanese snacks, such as Shrimp Chips, with Doritos, Cheetos, Gum, Snickers bars, etc. What were they thinking!!!

Unremarkable to-​go sushi at an OK price.
At some point in the afternoon, 4pm I think, they discount their prices on prepackaged sushi.

unexciting, could be cheaper. more of a «to-​go» type of place, since the inside is sparse. good for a quick pickup and go, hence the name.

Not the best sushi. Not the best price. But when I’m craving sushi at work, I have no other choice. Good for that quick sushi fix, but leaves an aftertaste (i.e., not fresh). Even the meals are too small of a serving for the price you pay.

Go-​go-​Sushi is the cloest sushi place to my work. What can i say really about this place… um, it does the job. I haven’t experimented too much with the menu. I’ve had the donburi rice bowls, a couple sushi rolls, and tuna/​salmon sashimi– all to go. The quality of fish impresses me, for a lunch take-​out place. Prices are ok, not cheap, but good sushi isn’t, right? I also thoroughly enjoy perusing the side counter for Asian snacks & trinkets.(I can stop in and get gel pens, wasabi peas, or strawberry pocky there!!) p. s. they charge you extra for additional soy sauce! yikes!
