Extremely poor customer service and gave me attitude on the phone when I requested that one of their pieces of equipment, which had been illegally parked for 4 days, be removed. Didn’t pick up the equipment on time, openly flaunted the law instead of keeping the equipment on the job-site, and bad attitude on the phone. Public streets aren’t storage locations for your heavy equipment.

I have to say the at first the receptionist nice, but then the whole ordeal turned ugly when the owner stepped in and started calling be a liar and started yelling at me over the phone. I rented a forklift for the weekend and they originally gave me a good deal(and I did not try to bargain with them or anything) but the problem was with their equipment. Their forklift seat sensor started acting up, so I could not use it for more than about 5 to 10 seconds before it slipped into neutral. I could have finished the whole moving project in about 45 minutes, but it took more like 2 hours. I had 5 guys there at the project waiting around, we were all frustrated with this forklift. When I first called them to rent it, I asked them what time would they pick up the forklift. The receptionist said«we can not give you an exact time, it could be in the morning or it may be in the afternoon». Then on Monday morning I called at about 7 – 7:15am and asked them if they had a better idea of when they would be picking it up. The receptionist said that they had a few things to do but they would be there in about 30 minutes. I asked them if they could just make it in the next hour and a half because it was going to be Monday morning traffic and there is no way I could make it to the forklift in 30 minutes. I reminded her that she said she did not know when it would be picked up, so she relayed that to her boss. Her boss immediately said I was a liar and that the receptionist said between 7:30am and 8am and then she told her to charge me for an extra day! WTF??? She NEVER said that it would be between 7:30am and 8AM! So I got on the BART immediately and managed to make it there about 8:50am and called them asking to please not charge me an extra day. So she said she would not charge for an extra day. I was relieved at that, but still annoyed that she called me a liar about the 7:30−8am bit. Anyways, when I got there I decided that I would not pay them until they understood what my problem was with the forklift slipping into neutral. So I called them and told them that they are probably going to have a hard time getting it on the truck with the neutral problem. So they sent a mechanic out and everything worked fine for him. The reason it DID work fine for him was because he weighed enough sitting on the seat so that the sensor did not put the forklift in neutral. He did acknowledge that the problem was because I was not heavy enough and that the sensor was too sensitive, HOWEVER he wrote that there was no problem«EVERYTHINGWORKSFINE!!!» he wrote. My wife picked me up and we drove to their location and I paid them in cash. They gave me the receipt and at first I didnt say anything. But just before I was going to leave I saw the owner in the back. I told her in a nice way(but in a frank way) and I did not raise my voice. I said, «I did appreciate that you called me a liar and I have a video Im going to upload to YouTube letting everyone know about how you treat your customers». She basically exploded on me and I cant exactly remember even what she was saying but her husband walked me out of the office and I thought I could explain everything to him. Maybe he was the level headed one, but no. He told me he didnt like what I was telling her. I told him«look Im upset that she is calling me a liar». Then he started cussing at me and told me to leave and never to come back there again. Like I want to go to a place where they treat me like that??? He did end up putting the money in my front vest pocket, but I was so upset that they were calling me a liar that I just threw all the $ 275 in 20s into their garage. So thats my story. Im sure if the equipment works then you may not have a problem with them. But they may be dishonest, erratic, and explosive like they were with me. So thats my heads up. Thanks for listening. Sincerely

100% pleased with these guys! The forklift I rented was excellent, sure. But their service was really outstanding. It was even the owner that delivered and picked up the rental. The price was excellent — way better than what the chains quoted! — and they were super easy to deal with: pro-active, flexible, fair, reliable… This is not a situation where spending money with local business was any kind of compromise or sacrifice.
