One of the best cuts my husband has gotten in the 15 years we’ve been married. Very detailed job by Anibal. He took his time like a true artist of his craft. We were on vacation and My husband was in need of a haircut for his business meeting. Found this spot on Unilocal and decided to check it out. We were left very satisfied. We will definitely visit again when in SF.

A bit less than decent for my experience. This is coming from a guy from SF, growing up with lots of barber friends who are now established well within the Bay Area Barber Brotherhood. Barbers at Shane’s, Fresh Cuts, Black & Gold, San Mateo Zoo, Cut to Contrast, Fine Line, Cut Right, etc are full of talent.
I got back in the city from vacation feeling in need of a cut on a Sunday. Most (if not all) of the shops I listed are closed Sundays, so being open 7 days a week is a plus for this place. Called in advance and was told to come as a walk in.
Perfect. I don’t mind waiting at all, especially for $ 55 a cut & shave. This must be good, right? I walked in to gauge who I thought I’d wait for. Two barbers, one in each chair and only me waiting. Older gentleman with tattoos I intended to keep away from. He rushed through one cut from start to finish in 15 minutes and basically told his customer to get lost. Blatant rude manner toward his customer who clearly hated his cut as he reluctantly left the chair.
He badgered me over, and I said I’d wait for the other barber who was taking his time. Two more customers came in as walk ins and sat in his chair. And they went by in 30 minutes each, none looking satisfied or decently cut.
He badgered me over again. Having waited about an hour and a half, I finally said yes.
The man could barely see out of his bifocal glasses, and is so rough on the clippers, I left with the whole back of my head raw from him digging into my scalp.
Cut was 20 minutes including a shave. $ 55. No styling was done, no precision, not even any conversation. Rude guy. Cut rating? From 1 to Professional I’d say he’s a bit below supercuts.
Decent looking place though, open on Sunday, don’t see the older guy with tattoos. Just wait for another barber.

Gentlemen’s Barber is not a quick in-​and-​out cheapo haircut. This place takes their time and gets you a fresh cut that sets you up for a nice night out with your partner. The straight razor shave is totally worth it to finish up the clean look.

Excellent cuts from these guys. Place is new and clean and they have a big screen to watch while you wait. No nonsense experience, highly recommended.

Absolutely outstanding hair cut by a wonderful human being. I’ve rarely (if ever) had this level of attention paid to my cut, and it was backed up with great conversation. As a guy who travels globally for work, I’ve gotten my hair cut in a lot of spots. Shanghai used to hold my top slot, but Gentlemen’s just gave it a run. Next time I’m back in SFO you’ll find me here.

Walked in with hopes of getting a hair cut before my Christmas vacation. Their website says men and women welcome, the signs on the outside of the building say the same.
So being a woman with a typical men’s haircut, and having gone to many other barber shops beforehand, I assumed I wouldn’t have any issue.
Yet upon walking into an empty barbershop (although the emptiness makes sense in hindsight) I was turned away by a sexist bigot saying he refuses to touch women’s hair. While I tried to explain that I had a men’s haircut, and had never once had any issue with this before, he continually cut me off repeating his sexist mantra in true woman hating fashion. This disaster of a human being in all camo, is probably in the wrong city considering his all too obvious views on equality. Please go back to whatever rock you live under and don’t emerge until you become a decent human being.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy if my life depended on it.

Going back to Gentleman’s Barber Shop, my fresh cut came out amazing. The barber that handled my haircut paid careful attention to what I asked for and gave me exactly what I wanted! He even offered new and interesting ideas he could do to give me a new more fresher style. I’ve decided to make him my regular barber and I’ll be going back to Gentleman’s to make sure I get only the BEST service. Thanks again to the shop for cleaning me up before leaving for vacation.

Great spot in lower nob hill that opened up. Quick and clean cut with the game showing in the background. They also offer a beer to start off the cut.
Will definitely be coming back.

See the previous photo of the guy with the ridiculously unnatural hairline on the side and back. I just asked for a trim, and received that. What is going through the barber’s mind that causes him to cut hair like that is beyond me.
You’re better off going to a random spot in Chinatown.

This haircut was a disaster. Guy trimmed my neck up a good inch and a half from natural hairline — looks ridiculous. I would avoid this place even if you’re desperate for a trim (which was 35 bucks — so not cheap). Ugh.

Very dissatisfied with my haircut. My girlfriend says it is a complete disaster. I am starting to bald a little bit and the new haircut just makes it super obvious. Also the way they trimmed the ears and the back is something I never seen before. It is trimmed with a straight line it doesn’t look natural at all, my haircut looks like it was taken straight from a geometry book. Would not recommend.

This is my new haircut spot in San Francisco. These guys are doing it right — haven’t been disappointed yet. Their listening skills makes the difference from other salons/​barbers.
Also, haven’t had to make an appointment… walk-in’s are welcome.

A good solid cut in under 15 minutes. This is my go to barber and i’m glad to have them right in my neighborhood. I used to get cut from these guys when I was in college and they were down on Mission street. It’s good to see some of the same faces in the new location and although the price has increased, the quality of cut has too.

Walked in and love my cut! These barbers are real professional specially Michael. My hair is difficult to cut but all I did is show him a picture! The best is the shoulder rub at the end!

Walked in earlier today to get a cut.
Got seated in a chair by Omar, my man’s got a steady hand with clippers and a blade.
Gave me a fresh cut with standout lines.
I’ll definitely be returning again. Go check this spot out!

I dropped in one day and Francisco cut my hair. He was efficient but careful; checking with me periodically that the length and style were to my liking. Reasonable price compared to other Barbers in the area. I plan to go go back for my next cut.

One of the best hands in the bay I tell ya! I have a complete new look and I couldn’t ask for a better barber then Luis!!! He will most definitely hook your head up with the freshest lines.

For 3 years, at least monthly, I frequented the Original Palace Barbershop on Second and Mission. I couldn’t beat the cut or the price. When it shuttered in November I was shocked — turned to a few other barbershops, but none nearly as good.
Recently was in the area again and saw a sign posted for where they had moved. I literally jumped on a bus and got to Estilo’s as fast as I could. The cut was as superior as I had remembered!
These folks specialize in a classic barbershop experience and in my extensive history provide one of the best medium fades in the city.
Super excited to have my barber back!

I saw this place on one of my walks near the office. I needed a haircut and did not have enough time to book my usual barbershop so I thought I would take a chance at this place.
I came in on a Thursday after work without an appointment and was seated promptly. The barber, Luis told me that they had just been opened for 2 weeks. I showed him a drawing of what I wanted and he proceeded to fade me up. Dude has some of the quickest barber hands I have ever seen. He stopped at key points to confirm things I wanted or did not want. I was a bit worried at first but when he was done I was really impressed. Dude faded me up proper.
It was $ 35 for a standard haircut which is a bit steep, but this is Nob Hill SF. My usual barber might be in trouble.

I called only like an hour ahead of time, and they were able to book me a spot. The place is very clean, and the people were professional and friendly.
The dude that cut my hair was knowledgeable and was able to do whatever I requested, no problem.
Definitely coming back here for fades on the regular.
