I am writing as both a professional who refers all her immigration clients to this doctor, and from a personal point. He is not my physician, but my husband saw him and he was very accommodating and professional. He was also pleasant.
As an immigration attorney, I refer all my clients to Dr. Ross for their medical exams. He is very reasonably priced, quick, and pleasant.
I would recommend him, and do quite often, to anyone in need of a medical exam.

I met Doctor Ross almost five years ago through a family referral. The difference he has made in the quality of my life is as significant as between a person who works out and one who is stagnant; simply put it has been life altering and positive!!! Most of his remedies are homeopathic so that the body can rely on natural healing powers but if need be Doctor Ross also understands the body mechanics with a sixth sense and has had test results come back exactly as he assumed by just a description of the symptoms. Going to him was one of the best choices for my over all health in the last ten years. Thanks you Doctor Ross!!!

Had very much the same experiences as John F. along with NOT making return phone calls (BTW — he charges for his phone calls too). Knows his stuff but sometimes seems to come across as a whacko. Starts off with a bang and after 7 – 8 months, landed without one. Won’t be going back.

I don’t know how anybody could possibly give Dr. Ross a poor rating. If you go to a Dr. because of the amount of Polish his office has, then you are a fool. Dr. Ross is a world class Dr., he is unique in every way, and he knows everything about you when you walk into his door. He calls at any hour with his thoughts about your condition, and asks questions that most Doctors would never even consider. He has a deep and sincere care for his patients.
Shame on any of you for giving him a poor rating. If you want a fancy office and inside the box medical care, then go to a different Dr. But, If you want the absolute best medical care and the absolute best Dr anywhere… Go see Dr. Ross. He is simply the best of the best.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Ross. A nice guy, well intentioned and does want to look for alternative solutions rather than drugs. However he is SUPER expensive… I had no health insurance and my blood pressure medication prescriptions had all expired. I was referred to him by a friend. I called his office and was told he was $ 400 per hour (!!!) but that the visit would take only about ½ hour.
I decided to go since I had no where else (so I thought at the time) to go to get my BP medication renewed. I was also told cash only… that’s rough.
I went to his office he spent an entire hour (so $ 400 not $ 200 as I was told) and HE talked for most of the time!!! Hey doc… I’m the patient here… and I’m paying you almost 7 dollars a minute to listen to you go on & on. So I spent the hour with him and he kindly let me pay the $ 400 in two installments (thanks man).
He did give me prescriptions for a year so I didn’t have to see him again and found a much less expensive doctor at the end of the year.
Some like him very much… that is fine… my experience was such that I will never walk through his door again.

Dr. Ross is indeed a fine physician. I have been seeing him since 1995, and he has always helped me… a few times when I found myself in rather dire circumstances as regards health. He considers himself an Orthomolecular physician and prefers to use natural methods to heal his patients, i.e. diet and supplementation. That said, he is not dogmatic in this regards. If he sees the need (or the patient prefers) he will use allopathic means to achieve a cure.
Now to address a question that other reviewers have raised as concerns. It is true that Dr. Ross will sometimes engage in conversation that is not immediately related to the matter at hand. I do not believe that Dr. Ross does this to «string the patient out» in order to make more money. What I believe is that Dr. Ross is very aware of the way most physicians treat their patients like objects on an assembly line. In contrast to this, Dr. Ross wants to establish a human relationship with the patient. That said, I understand that this costs patients and some people just can’t afford this. I suggest that, in such cases, the patient just redirect the doctor to the matter at hand.
Dr. Ross gets my unequivocal praise, and I have no reservations about recommending him.

Don’t be fooled by his website.
I made an appointment for my husband’s medical immigration forms.
And as soon as my husband met Dr. Ross and walked into his office, he had to call me and ask: what were you thinking? why did you send me here?
He left right away. I told him: «his website looks pretty good…» and he later agreed with me about that.
But he was disgusted by the state of the doctor’s «office»

He is the best doctor that I have been to. I totally agree with all great things wrote about him by 5 stars reviewers. If I could, I would give him 6 stars! It is so true that he has patients’ best interest at heart. Dr Ross is very friendly, extremely brilliant and knowledgeable, helpful and kind. His wife and assistant, Kathleen (I hope I spelled her name right) is equally wonderful and very prompt in responding to voice messages. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a caring doctor with very reasonable fees.

Dr Ross is a very kind and patient doctor with you very best interest at heart which I sometimes do not feel with other doctors. I think it’s refreshing with a doctor who takes a holistic approach to healing. Dr Ross combines both Western and Eastern practices and uses both of best worlds to give you the best possible care. I was very happy with his services. The only snag I ran into was that it took almost 2 months to receive a receipt for my check up/​treatment and had to follow up with the receptionist numerous times.

OK, so — Dr. Ross is pretty holistic which for me, is a big positive. He recommended going to get muscle tested (aka applied kineseology) to see which thyroid med my body would prefer. He recommended supplements/​nutrition. He did discuss with me and offer tests to improve related medical issues like hormone levels, adrenals, etc. He has a friendly manner. His office assistant, Peter, is lovely.
I would, however, like to see him reduce his rates, and change his rate structure. It’s pretty crazy. (I think perhaps if he moved his office off Union Square we could pay less!) As it is, he is really really expensive — $ 500+ for my first visit (although he was very generous with his time — an hour and a half). I say this as someone who routinely pays out of pocket to see often «big name» alternative health care providers. It would be easier to swallow if he billed insurance. My biggest issue though is that every time you talk to him, even over the phone, he charges you by the minute. And let me just say that he is not brief over the phone, often tells little stories — I find myself trying to hurry him up because I know the clock is ticking! So — I’ll probably continue seeing Dr. Ross but I would really like it if he could address about the $ issue :)

Dr. Ross is a good guy. He listens. He’s compassionate. He gives you as much time as you need. He’ll offer you a prescription if you need one, but is also very knowledgeable about alternative treatment, nutrition, supplements, etc., so he’s not wedded to only one point of view. I’ve been going to him on and off for over 10 years, and genuinely like him.
I’m only withholding one star because I have to submit my own insurance stuff, which is a pain, and sometimes the front office is a little understaffed, but he’s still well worth seeing.

Dr. Ross is wonderful — he doesn’t make you feel like he’s rushed, and that’s particularly great for those of us who generally feel nervous in a doctor’s office. It’s calming. He’s very good at needles, and takes time to explain procedures and options. Another nice thing is he actually remembers you and seems to care, which is more than I can say for my regular family doctor (who has only seen my husband after two years — I’ve only seen the nurse not wanting to wait the three weeks to see the doctor. And he didn’t even know my husband was his patient during the visit! My husband had to remind him THREE times that he was his own patient — but I guess that’s another review!). Anyway, very good experiences with Dr. Ross during our recent visits. Also, five stars for Peter who works in the office — he is incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and helpful, and was always nice to visit with.

Normally doctors will make you wait for an hour, so they can talk to you for 5 minutes. With Dr. Ross, it’s the other way around. He’ll also talk to you about alternative medicine if you want to go that route, but he has no problem writing a prescription for antibiotics when you need them.
