eh. pretty weak compared to the other taco trucks. it will do i guess. note to the dude on the truck. if i ask for chips it means i want the ones in the zip lock bag, not a bag of dorritos.

OMG I never though I would salivate over a tacos from a TRUCK! (That’s what happens when you’re from NYC and have only had experience with Taco Bells) Yes, this truck is something I look forward to when I’m trying to have good lunch for cheap. I had the stuffed pork and grilled chicken tacos (since I don’t eat beef), both excellent! And the prices are also great. The two tacos just cost me 3.50 total, although to be honest, if you are a not-​too-​hungry girl 2 tacos will MAYBE fill you… but definitely not if you’re a guy or just really hungry.
It’s hard to describe how good the tacos from this place was. Basically the meat was cooked just right and not too dry (which is REALLY important). The meat was still juicy when I had it and I think we usually just gobble everything down before we even get back to our school and we ALWAYS want more when we’re done… I’m so glad this truck is so close to where I am!

The super burrito with tinga was small and only so-​so. Salsa was given to me in a small little plastic container, almost begrudgingly. I like hole-​in-​the-​walls and taco trucks a lot, but I didn’t care for this one.

What a nice surprise. Cheap fast street food. Had the burrito and it was good. Fresh and spicy.

Bomb tacos! Great little pit stop if you need a snack or want to stop for lunch. All of the tacos are very fresh and juicy, great salsas and friendly service.

OMG what an awesome surprise!
We decided to try out this little truck parked on Carolina and it was SO GOOD. We had the chicken tacos as well as the chicken tinga. Fantastic tacos. Fresh tasting and delicious.
I was really about to give up on Mexican food in Potrero Hill, but this little place has saved me. I think their tacos are way better than Tacqueria Cancun. And super inexpensive.

Gaby y Liz has good tortas and tacos, and the burrito that I tried one time was a solid effort. My favorite item is the Hawaiian torta, with ham, pineapple, avocado, peppers and a few other things. I usually call ahead and place my order then walk 2 blocks from my house to pick it up. Thank god they are close by because I don’t care all that much for Dos Pinas, which is about the same walking distance for me as Gaby y Liz

An overdue Unilocal from November:
It was the morning after Above & Beyond and I was walking around in a mindless daze, still carrying the smile from the previous night’s musical journey. I needed some eats, and this taco truck was high on the weekday list.
I don’t remember more than it was cheap and the chicken seemed a little healthier than most taco trucks (i.e. minimal oil glaze), but I do remember being a fan.

Good tacos! I went here with my friend Frankie the other day and surprisingly, there was no one there. I figure because it was way past lunch time (4pm). But I’m sure that this place must be swarming with people during lunch time, especially since it seems to be near a park AND the Anchor Steam Brewery. Which, by the way, I think would be a perfect day: tacos, Anchor Steam tour, more tacos.
I had the carne asada tacos… these were delicious. I don’t want to say they were better than the El Tonayense truck, BUT… I will say that these are pretty delicious. They didn’t ask us what kind of salsa we wanted, but it was the green spicy salsa! Oh, it was so good!
I’m coming back here. I felt like this was my own personal taco truck!

I can’t believe that there is a taco truck right around the corner from my house! All right, around the corner and down the hill, but still. It was delicious. Not my favorite, but bonus points for the location.

I thought i ordered the al pastor tacos, but I think I got the bland meat tacos. There was no seasoning on the meat at all. And it definitely wasn’t pastor. Also, I didn’t get a pickled jalapeño which should be a requirement at any taco truck.
They also didn’t have black beans, which I don’t know if that’s a regular absence or just that particular day… but it sure steams my clams either way.

Everyone is right about the chicken, it RULES!!! Chicken tacos and burritos are the best!!! Worth the short walk from my office. The chicken has just the right amount of spicy and just melts in your mouth. I am salivating just thinking about it right now. One thing I hate that they do is the lettuce in the burritos. Dude, I have never been anywhere where this is ok. My mom would totally poo this practice, so not Mexican.

In my experience, most chicken taco truck tacos tend to be a bit dry or grainy, so I usually go with lengua, al pastor and buche and things like that.
Not so at Gaby & Liz. Their «chicken tinga» is fantastic … juicy and flavorful and anything BUT dry. I think this is one of the two or three best trucks in San Francisco.

Gaby y Liz is great! It’s tastier and fresher and less annoying than Dos Pinas, for sure.
I like their chicken tinga tacos. A lot.
I’ve got to say, the best thing about Gaby y Liz, besides their customer service, is that you can call in your order and then walk down to get it.

Hear-​hear! Thank god there is something other than Dos Pinas in Potrero. If your looking for your low-​fat spinach wrap with tofu, this place isn’t for you, just check out the carne asada grease stains in front of the park benches located across from the truck.
But if you are looking for an authentic chorizo burrito or carnitas like mom use to make then this is the roach coach for you.
OH and the salsa rocks!

As far as I know, this is the only taco truck in Potrero Hill and THANK GOD because I can’t stand Dos Pinas. When it’s sunny and warm outside, there’s nothing quite like grabbing a chorizo super burrito (or three tacos — two with pastor, one with carnitas) with a can of Coke, going over to the park, and enjoying the sun. After demolishing mentioned burrito/​tacos, you have to literally drag me back to work.
However, some people do not regard taco trucks as highly as I do…
Woman (walks up to Gaby & Liz with a taco in hand): Look! This… taco…it’s full of fat! I can’t eat this! This is TERRIBLE!
Man in taco truck: Uh… do you want your money back?
Woman: YES! (gets her money back and walks away in a huff)
Everyone who witnessed this is thinking the following «Uh, what’d you expect? You bought food from something on wheels. Geez!»
Some people just can’t deal with meals on wheels…

Bomb taco truck. Stay away from the carne asada but the chicken is bomb… get there early on friday cuz sometimes they run out. As far as mayo on a burrito goes never seen it and i get a chicken burrito at least twice a week but the tacos are the real treat… Besides Dos Pinas is for gringos way!
