History
Established in 1998.
I started the Alexander Technique because of repeated dance injuries twenty years ago in Japan. I have recovered from chronic back pain and severe sciatica pain successfully for good. I have been dancing Argentine Tango seriously for fifteen years in four-inch heels without pain or injuries. I specialize in foot, knee, leg and back, sciatica pain including Plantar fasciitis, bunions, flat feet, bow legs and any balance/alignment issues. I have helped many dancers, athletes, actors, martial artists, Pilates trainers. I teach at Academy of Arts University Film School as a movement coach to actors, singers and models.

Business Owner
Fumi Sasa, Director of Alexander Technique San Francisco, has over twenty years of Alexander Technique experience. She has been certified by the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT), which requires a three-year teacher training course, composing 1600 hours of training.
She has taught at the SF Zen Center, American Conservatory Theater, and various tango communities. She currently teaches at Academy of Art University’s School of Motion Pictures & Television. She works with dancers, actors, musicians, professional athletes, and people with repetitive strain injuries.
Fumi also treats and eliminates pain. She has extensive knowledge of neck-, back-, and knee-pain, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis, disc herniation, osteoporosis, asthma and other complex conditions, from working with Dr. Lisa Hosbien, a holistic physician in Sacramento, California.
She was born in Japan and educated in U.S. She speaks both Japanese and English natively.
