After hearing from my previous doctor that my pain was a chronic condition and nothing else could be done, I decided to look for a second opinion. Dr. Naraghi was recommended to me by a very good doctor whom I trust. Dr. Naraghi was very through in his diagnosis, requested the necessary exams and was able to figure out what was really causing my pain. After evaluating the possible alternatives and making sure that all the more conservative treatments were tried first, he recommended a spinal fusion. I was very worried about having this surgery, but Dr Naraghi was great at explaining the procedure in details and answering all my questions. I trusted him and decided to undergo the spinal fusion. It was a major surgery, I had two days of surgery and was in the hospital for a week. Dr Naraghi and his team took very good care of me, he was very present during the entire process always making sure I had the best possible care. I believe Dr. Naraghi is one of the best doctors I ever met. Dr. Naraghi is very knowledgeable, talented and technically capable, but at the same time he is not cold, proud or arrogant like so many doctors out there. Dr Naraghi is compassionate and really cares about his patients. I had my first spine surgery at UCSF (which is considered one of the best spine centers in the country) but the quality of care I received from Dr. Naraghi was superior in many ways. I strongly recommend Dr. Naraghi to anyone looking for a good spine surgeon.

Dr. Naraghi has been nothing but patient, kind, and professional. I have seen him for over 3 years, and he has never disappointed. He truly listens to all my questions and concerns, and he has performed a lumbar L5-​S1 fusion surgery on me. He doesn’t overlook a single detail, including consideration of my family and informing them directly of everything to do with me and my file. All of the staff members in his office are also attentive, courteous, and helpful. Eli at the front desk has been especially knowledgeable in assisting me with workman’s compensation as well.
Another reviewer mentioned waiting time as a reason for giving 1 star. Firstly, out of about 20 – 30 visits, there were only a couple times when I had to wait more than 10 minutes. There is no other way he could provide the kind of genuine concern and concentration that he does for me as a patient. I don’t know about you but when it comes to my health, I want to be in capable and experienced hands, not a doctor that doesn’t listen and rushes you out the door.

Dr. Naraghi is a sweet doctor who knows his stuff. Yes, they overbook, but there is a trick. Always get you appointment as early in the day as you can or as late in the day, so you don’t miss too much work. He is conservative, which I love. I don’t like cutters who just want to cut. Nope, Dr. Naraghi wants to try everything he can BEFORE recommending surgery. I have been with him for over 2 years and the only reason it has been this long is because the workers compensation insurance company is denying therapy. He finally was able to get me PT, so my stay with him will hopefully be shorter than another 2 years.

I had severe myelopathy after consulting with several surgeons all of them wanted to fuse my neck and screw in metal plates to secure my neck from ever moving again this meant I would lose all range of motion and subsequently my job since it is required for me to be mobile. I was extremely depressed unil a friend referred me to Dr. Naraghi. After careful consideration he agreed to do a two level cervical disc replacement which at the time was not common at all with this new device. He too was skeptical about doing this but understood that I was still young and how devastating it would be to lose my range of motion for the rest of my
make a long story short he did very difficult task of installing these artificial discs on two levels. and now four years later going on five years I have had no issues I cannot even tell I have had any surgery except for a slight scar on my neck I still continue to have great range of motion. I must say I owe Dr. Naraghi so much for understanding my concerns and having the skill and ability to do something that most surgeons were very reluctant to do. He is highly skilled and compassionate to each situation. I would never recommend anybody but Dr. Naraghi as he can attest I have referred several people his way. Again thank you Dr. Naraghi you are the best in my eyes.

Dr. Naraghi is the best! His expertise, knowledge, and professional manner is worth coming to San Francisco for. Since I have been his patient, I have hope clarity and he will always be my doctor!

Dr Naraghi has my highest recommendation for his magical ability to help my back heal. I had a severe herniation in my L4-​S5 disc which squished my entire nerve in the right leg and was shooting 9 – 10 level pain down my entire leg. It got so bad that I couldn’t stand or walk. Dr. Naraghi was able to perform the surgery just after a few days of my last biggest flare up and i was able to stand up and start walking the next day! It’s been a month now and I am feeling better than I felt the entire year before surgery which makes me so happy! Dr. Naraghi is always available to his patients spending as much time as needed to answer all the questions and provide the comfort necessary. I would not go to any other doctor to handle my spine! I do not recommend. After waiting 30 days to see the Dr, I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment. I waited in the lobby and after 1 hour I approached the receptionist and was told that there were still 3 people in front of me. Asked for my money and records back and left. They obviously overbook.

Since my first time with Dr Naraghi his patience has been exceptional! Throughout the process Dr Naraghi has reassured me that my procedure will get better with time and is very detailed about the pain! Naraghi has constiently given the best option on how to minimize my bdy pain. Overall I love how he explains his procedure step by step and is very detailed. With Dr Naraghi I am in great hands!

I went to see Dr. Naraghi on the recommendation of a friend after seeing my surgeon. The first surgeon I saw wanted to do a major procedure and after speaking to Dr. Naraghi we agreed that it was to invasive and developed a different plan. Unfortunately my insurance wouldn’t cover it. But after seeing the AME and being deemed a work related injury, Dr. Naraghi was able to perform the procedure. He made me feel at ease unlike the surgeons at Kaiser and treated me with the utmost respect and compassion. I am so lucky to have found him and I could not put into words how much he has helped me both surgically and emotionally. He helped decide the best approach and helped reassured me continuously. He is the kindest Doctor I have ever dealt with and without a doubt the most caring. Now I am in a much better situation due to the help of Dr. Naraghi. I am afraid to think of what almost happened and can not thank him enough for all his care.
If you, ever have the chance to use him as your doctor I strongly recommend him and could not think of a more caring, kinder, knowledgeable and wonderful man and surgeon as he.

I have seen Dr. Naraghi regarding my neck pain 3 – 4 times. He is very polite and respectful and really takes time to explain the cause and solution. I have seen three other doctors before this and they were all very vague and did not take time to explain the cause and remedy. Dr. Naraghi recommended steroid injections and my neck pain is almost gone. I would recommend Dr. Naraghi to anyone having neck/​back issues.

I have seen DR Naraghi a few times to deal with my neck pain. Dr Naraghi is very nice and explains the issues very clearly. Other Drs told me I have to have surgery, but DR Naraghi recommended against it and by following his instructions and exercises I got better and now I feel very good. Thanks Dr Naraghi

Since my first review of Dr Naraghi I have undergone artificial disk replacement surgery and it was a huge success! I can’t thank Dr Naraghi enough. My insurance was not initially going to cover the surgery, but Dr Naraghi continued to send documentation to show that it was the best option and they did end up covering it.
Dr Naraghi was exceptionally thorough in providing info on options for my back pain. I’d dealt with low back pain from a herniated disk that eventually developed degenerative disk disease for 23 years. I had tried everything and was at my wits end. Dr Naraghi urged me to try several procedures and tests to ensure that this type of surgery was the best option – because any surgery is risky. But he made me feel hopeful and like he really did want me to feel better.
Almost every member of my family has had some kind of back surgery. In talking with them about my experience with Dr Naraghi, I think I am the luckiest member of my family to have had Dr Naraghi as my surgeon. My father and brother have both had surgery and are both experiencing severe pain again. I believe they should make the 2 hour drive to SF to consider Dr Naraghi for any further treatment. I’ve also recommended the doctor to many other people now.
