Lily was truly fantastic! I needed my hair done to accommodate both the western and vietnamese outfits. I did a trial with her several months before the wedding. I had no idea what kind of look that I wanted nor hair style. I just wanted a natural look and she pulled it off so well. She helped me explore different looks to get me to think outside the box– heavier eyeliner for example. For my wedding she came over that morning and was very easy going and relaxed as she did hair and make up for my two bridesmaids and then me. She showed up on time and were done within the planned time frame. I received so many complements on how well I looked. For someone who doesn’t wear all that much make up, I felt really comfortable with it and didn’t feel like a burden wearing it all day.
Her response to emails and contracts were timely and scheduling was very easy with her.
I cannot recommend her enough, especially to Asian women, who still need to keep that «traditional look».

Lily did an amazing job styling the hair and makeup for my wedding! She was a consummate professional and took her time to give me the exact look I was hoping for for one of the most important days in my life. She was punctual, prepared, friendly, and easy to work with. She was intent on ensuring that everything turned out the way that I envisioned it to be. She was also very flexible with scheduling and gave me great tips and advice about styling. She made the process very easy and stress free and I greatly appreciate all of the work that she did! :)

I found Lily through my photographer (Studio Dizon) and checked her out in Unilocal.I checked out all the pics of the other brides posted and I really liked how their makeup looked so I contacted her if she was available. Most of our communications were through emails since I was traveling a lot for work and mostly out of the country. It was so easy working with her and she was so patient with my questions and providing with details. I did a trial and it went really well. She was very personable and I felt very comfortable with her. I recommend doing the trial if you can since you start building a relationship and it becomes so much better during the wedding day. It’s like hanging out with your friends. So during the planning, I was worried that I may need her for touch up before the reception (since my hair goes flat fast and worried that makeup will be faded by reception) so she gave me the option to go to the venue if needed.
On the day of the wedding, she arrived on time. She brought an assistant to help with my bridesmaids. I actually changed my mind on how I wanted my hair to look like. I showed her what I wanted and she was able to make it work with the hair piece that my aunt gave me unexpectedly to use for the wedding. As you can see on the attached pictures, we had so much fun. It’s good that if the person who does your hair and makeup has great hair and makeup. She looked very presentable and made our pictures really beautiful. She gave me extra makeup enough for touch up for blush and lips. I actually did not need her to come to the venue since everything held up well for the reception even after hours of being out for photo shoots.
One of my bridesmaid did not like how she looked with the makeup by Lily’s assistant, which was fine since we all have to like how we look :). Lily had time to fix her makeup and she loved it.
Lily was on point and she loves what she does. She worked well with my bridesmaids, photographers and my wedding coordinator. I am very happy to have her as my artist during my wedding day. I just wish I have more events that I can use her for. I highly recommend her.

Lily is such a wonderful artist to work with. I found Lily through Unilocal and we communicated through email prior to my wedding. I didn’t really want to do a makeup trial because I was only doing a simple City Hall Wedding. I was so pleased/​relieved that Lily did not pressure me to do a trial and just told me to email her the hair & makeup styles that I liked. I was really impressed with how quickly Lily responded to my emails (I had quite a few questions and even had to change my appointment time).
On the day of my wedding, my mom and I went to her studio to get my makeup done. Lily’s studio has a bathroom & an area to change, just in case you need to change into your dress and head directly to your wedding (which I thought I would have to do, but Lily finished my makeup/​hair earlier than expected).
My mom had no idea what type of makeup style she wanted, so she just let Lily decide. My mom was very happy with the result.
I knew exactly what hair & makeup style I wanted and emailed a few examples to Lily and she perfected it! I was also very worried that my lipstick would transfer/​dry out during the wedding, but Lily told me not to worry and packed me some lipstick and gloss to go (I actually didn’t really need to reapply because it stayed on very well).
I am very happy and lucky that I found Lily. I highly recommend her.

This is long overdue, I went to Lily for makeup & hair for my engagement photos. I used to work in the cosmetic industry, therefore, I have high expectations on application technique, color enhancement and contouring. I was able to send pictures to Lily of certain hairstyles I liked and makeup colors I wanted prior to my appointment. Lily was very thorough and focused on areas I requested: dramatic eyes & contoured cheeks while not look like I had a ton of makeup on. Lily met & exceeded my expectations. She did wonders on makeup & did a great job styling my hair. I rec’d tons of compliments from family & friends for our engagement pictures. She showed up prepared and on time to get us 8 girls all beautiful and ready for 9 hours of wedding fun! We all had our hair and make up done perfectly and to the taste of each individual. She did my bridal makeup exactly like I wanted, the coverage of her makeup is flawless. She styled my hair exactly like I showed her in the photo with clip in extensions for fullness. I have high expectations of what I wanted my hair and makeup to look like for my wedding– I wanted to look like a goddess, ultra glam, lots of lashes and contouring. I wanted to look like a Persian Barbie/​Persian princess.

I’m a girly-​girl who has had her hair and makeup done on numerous occasions by professionals, and I must say, Lily is my favorite.
I live in Southern California, so communication had to be done through emails. We didn’t have a trial, but Lily was able to nail the old Hollywood glam look for my wedding, which isn’t any easy feat.
She was on time, professional, warm, funny, and made me calm in the midst of all the chaos.
It’s like having your best friend do your hair and makeup.
My makeup and hair stayed in place all day! I cried buckets of tears during my ceremony and not once did my makeup budge. It was a windy day and my hair didn’t fall flat or get wind-​blown.

Let me just start off by saying Lily truly is amazing. I saw her for the first time back in March for my trial and I’m not going to lie, I was pretty nervous. A little back story about me: I was born and raised in the Midwest and was moving to California two weeks before my wedding. Basically, I didn’t know anything about the Bay Area and didn’t know anyone for hair and makeup. One of my good friends brought up Lily who actually did her hair and makeup for her wedding day. I was definitely skeptical but she was awesome. I have naturally curly hair which no one knows how to tame. Lily was able to figure out everything! I had complete trust in her and told her to do whatever she thought would look great. I wanted to make sure I looked natural but amazing on my wedding day. Not only does Lily work magic but she’s great to talk to as well! I felt like one of my friends was doing my hair and makeup. There are a lot of people in this world who do their job because they just feel like they have to and don’t enjoy it but Lily is just the complete opposite. You can tell she really enjoys what she does and she should because she’s awesome.

I met Lily through the women’s initiative in 2012. I could tell by Lily’s enthusiasm and energy that she is very passionate about her work, and always knew that she would be the perfect person to go to for hair and makeup for any occasion. So, when I got engaged back in December, 2013, I got in touch with Lily. I’m so happy I did. My hair and makeup trial was a success and she even fit me in on Valentine’s day, so that I could show the man I was going to marry how beautiful I would look for our big day!!! I was not a person who knew much about makeup and never thought I would ever wear fake lashes or look as amazing as I did once Lily was finished with my hair and makeup. Lily is charming, ecstatic, easy to talk to and she really listens to what you want. She transformed me the day of my trial and made me feel beautiful. I knew after the trial, she was perfect for my wedding day! She also works well with extensions. I had found extensions through my hair stylist and she really worked them into my hair to look completely natural, (like I had long hair.) I feel so blessed to know Lily, her personality is very fun and happy and she truly loves what she does and it shows, she is also very punctual and professional. On my wedding day, Lily arrived right on time. She was patient with our time frame and was able to address my maid of honor, while I snuck out to grab some breakfast. Upon return, she was ready to work with me in all of my anxiousness before my big day. It was really windy at the beach where I was to be married and we talked about what could work for my up-​do. I really liked what she had done at my trial, so she decided to go for that look, but tighten it, so it would not be effected by the intolerable wind. My makeup was very natural and perfect to go with my spring wedding dress. My hair was gorgeous after she had added some small flowers and hairsprayed me down, (because of the crazy wind). I loved her work. My sister, the maid of honor, looked fantastic. Lily really listened to her and gave her a beautiful look that she appreciated. My hair lasted throughout the ceremony and needed a bit of pinning during our photo shoot. All in all, I felt like a disney princess the day of my wedding. I was given so many compliments that I was the most beautiful bride!!! Thank you Lily for exceeding my expectations, really listening to my sister and I and giving me a look that will always be remembered I highly recommend Lily for hair and makeup, if you are looking to really transform yourself for any occasion, but especially for weddings. The one thing I love about Lily is how happy it makes her to make you beautiful on your wedding day. She really is a rarity and the perfect choice for hair and makeup. Lily’s talent for hair and makeup is a showstopper. I found Lily on Unilocal after I had gone through at least 3 other hair and makeup artist trials for my wedding day. I was on the fence about paying for a trial, but when she was done I KNEW Lily was the one for my wedding day. On my wedding day, I felt so beautiful. Lily takes her time to perfect everything! I mean it’s like watching her paint a masterpiece when she is working on your hair and makeup. The makeup is bridal perfect! Best part was that the makeup lasted all day and night! I got so many compliments from my guests. I have already gotten a handful of requests from friends for her info. Lily makes you feel like yourself, and doesn’t change the way you look. She just puts just the right amount of makeup so that on your wedding day you look and feel amazing.
Lily is also soooooooo sweet! She is like your friend when you sit with her. I had Lily also do my makeup for my boudoir photo shoot before my wedding. She knew exactly what kind of sultry eye makeup to give me. Her makeup and hair skills is off the charts! She really knows about hair and makeup and it shows in her work. Some of the most talented people are the quit ones. It’s because their talent is seen from her work. Her work speaks for itself.
I think that make up and hair for weddings is really important. It completes a brides look and makes her feel even more beautiful on her wedding day. The cost to have Lily do your make up is a tiny price for how amazing you will feel and how fabulous/​flawless you will look in your wedding photos. I will definitely be coming back to Lily in the near future. Thank you Lily!!!

I am SO lucky that I found Lily to do my hair and makeup for my wedding day! She came highly recommended and I can see why. She did a fantastic job of looking at pictures and hearing my ideas and then making them all personalized to look great on me.
I loved how everything looked at my trial, but had a few tweaks that I wanted for the big day. Lily completely heard what kind of look and feel I was going for and delivered big time. She was flexible through and through and wanted to make sure that I felt great. My hair and makeup turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined and stayed looking great all day, even on a windy, misty San Francisco day.
In addition to doing my hair and makeup, Lily and her assistant did 5 bridesmaids’ and my mom’s hair and makeup. I was a little worried that there were so many of us, but Lily planned out a schedule to get us all ready in time for pictures. They arrived on time and were able to stick to her timeline perfectly. Everyone ended up looking beautiful and feeling great!

Lily is a makeup & hair MAGICIAN for so many reasons:
1. She was able to accommodate my ultra-​last-​minute scheduling because another artist fell through.
2. She was able to do an UP-​DO with my short above the shoulder hair.
3. She made ALL of my bridesmaids happy. I think that’s the most amazing point of all because each girl is so different with how she wants her makeup/​hair to be. Lily truly listens and has incredible versatility in her art. She makes your comfort and happiness her first priority.
4. She worked 6 ladies by herself (hair AND makeup), by the time that she said she would finish. Time management BEAST right there.

Lily is by far so amazing. She exactly gave me the look I wanted on point for my wedding day. I’m so glad I had found her. It was very last minute search for a hair & makeup artist for my wedding (2 wks prior). Luckily, I came across Lily on Unilocal.
Lily is just wonderful! Very responsive, returns call quickly, really listens to my needs, and she is very professional and patient throughout the whole process.
I had the city hall ceremony and the reception on the following day. Asked Lily to do my hair for the ceremony, and both hair & make up on the reception day.
She did my hair «GORGEOUSLY» on the ceremony day. So I thought, ok, this is what I can expect the next day, and everything will be just fine.

I found Lily on wedding bee website and I was impressed by her top ratings and client recommendations. I had tried two other places before finding Lily but wasn’t happy with the results (I’m picky). Once I saw Lily’s portfolio on her website filled with gorgeous hair and makeup, I knew I had found the right artist for me!
