History

Established in 2007.

Before the name change, Fluent City started as SamTeachesFrench and offered only French lessons from the NY living room of owner Sam. People loved the classes so much that the company grew extremely quickly, expanding to multiple classroom locations throughout New York and incorporating as Fluent City.

Fluent City now teaches 10 languages (French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Hebrew) and has been featured in Time Out New York, CBS New York, Greenpoint Gazette, French Morning, Metro Focus and Free Williamsburg, in addition to being named one of the coolest destinations in Williamsburg on Brooklyn Independent Television.

Fluent City continues to grow to more cities and now offers classes in NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Fire Island), Boston, DC, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin and Chicago.
