Flavia R. Foresti-Lorente, MD

Well this review is for the reception. I got a call back from her after I left 2 – 3 messages over the holidays about trying to get Foresti-​lorente as my regular physician. She returned my call once. but did not leave me a voice message so usually I would not call back. Luckily, I recognized their phone number so I called back to realize that the doctor is not accepting new patients anymore. No reason why, just not. I asked when will she accept new patients, maybe I could call back or they can call me back, she says. not anymore. So I guess forevermore… weird. I thought it would be nice that they could just leave me a message telling me that I’ve been rejected rather me have to waste time to call back to get the bad news. So. «Meh. I’ve experienced better.»:

There is nothing negative I can say about Dr. Foresti-​Lorente. She is always very kind, provides amazing services, and is always there to listen to any concerns I may have. The receptionist is very welcoming and also very helpful.

Crummy administrators. They didn’t put forth any effort to try to interpret my vaccination papers, even though I brought an RN to translate, forcing me to spend $ 400 on blood work.

I went for a general exam, physical and she was very caring and nice. I would recommend her to others.

I totally recommend Dr. Foresti-​Lorente! I am from a family of 13 physicians. She is an outstanding medical practitioner, careful, takes her time, knows her profession, inspires confidence. I had assorted issues when I started seeing her, nothing major. I still got all of her attention, and I am healthier for this. I do not need a physician with a trendy office, slick staff, and artful bedside manner. I appreciate an old-​fashioned, caring, learned Dr. when I have one. I will never switch from Dr. Foresti-​Lorente. Don’t make the mistake of not getting to know her, and judging her too quickly. I have referred others to her and will continue to do so!

I haven’t been for a general checkup in a couple of years, so I finally decided to get the body checked out. At first everything seemed ok, it’s in a good location (for me) and in a nice, well kept building. But the receptionist wasn’t super inviting (especially for a first time patient!) and then the wait for the doctor was a little much. Although I asked for a full check up, I felt like I got very little personal attention (I spent most of my hour visit waiting for the doctor) and I’m not even sure that she did a full examination! I mean, it’s the times when you think you’re completely healthy that something could be wrong – you know?
I will get my blood work done, but then I’m switching my PCP, again. The whole experience was lame.
I miss my pediatrician.

Went there one time, was not sure how I felt about the experience. The doctor was not overly friendly or out going but she knew her stuff. She took the time to talk in depth with me, and I felt that my issues were being addressed. She really does have a no no nonsence type of attitude, but theres nothing wrong with that.

Dr. Foresti-​Lorente can seem a bit intimidating at first but she’s quite witty and caring. I no longer have health insurance so I will miss her.

The receptionist can be lacking in social skills, but she does warm up. She’s young and probably needs training and/​or maybe if the office emphasised being friendly, she can turn it on. Being nice can be something you do have to turn on. I found Dr. Foresti-​Lorente to be very sweet and charming in her old Italian woman way. So far, she’s very thorough and interested in helping me with my health problems. I would recommend her.

No hello, no acknowledgment, no smiles, introductions, or even eye contact. Not by the receptionists, and not by the doctor. It felt like they didn’t want me there, nor did they care much for my business. Perhaps the disinterest was from cultural divide? They seemed Latin American oriented (of which I am not). Or perhaps it was a dislike of people in general. I won’t be returning.
