Specialties
Flanahan’s specializes in creating good times and memories. Oh, and we serve cheap and stiff drinks. Think of us as your friendly neighborhood dive bar, with just a touch of class. Micro Brews on tap, cold Pabst and MGD, and lots of Jameson. You will find some old timers here, but we assure you they don’t bite and they have a whale of a tale waiting for you. Give us a try, we think we may grow on you.

Established in 1978.
Established around 1978 by Mike Soden, Flanahan’s Pub is a classic Outer Sunset neighborhood pub. The space was previously an Ice cream shop, then a storage space for the neighboring liquor store. Mike’s great passion was the U.S. Open golf tournament. He attended 31 Opens — the first one in 1963 when Julius Boros won in a 3 way playoff at The Country Club in Brookline, MA.
Mike caddied for Bob Crowley in the 1966 U.S. Open at the Olympic Club. Crowley was paired with Arnold Palmer in the second
