Finest Nails

I used to go to that place often, not because of the quality (I’ve definitely seen better service) but because of their perfect location, close to my home. This time I was very busy, ran to the salon and asked what the wait time was for a manicure. If they had honestly said «half an hour» or something like that, there would be no offense, I’d just come over some other time. But they said «5 – 10 minutes», and I agreed to wait. 20 minutes later, they were still busy. This is a total disrespect to customers’ time! I left the salon and went to «Perfection Nails Spa», which is only a few blocks away and there was no wait. Also, the quality was much better there!

I’m obsessed with my new acrylics! I came in to fix a broken nail/​to get a fill, and she ended up shaping my nails so much better than the place I saw a week ago. My technician paid great attention to detail and was patient and precise with my particular shaping requests. Will definitely be back soon!

I just came here to find hours and can’t believe all the nasty reviews! The ladies at Finest are so sweet and do a great job for peanuts. I think the people who write nasty reviews are writing about the neighborhood. Yeah it’s rough, borderline TL, but Finest is clean, quick and inexpensive. Don’t hate!

I came here to get a quick color change on the toenails before a wedding, and got what I was looking for. However, I am very glad I wasn’t getting anything more «invasive» done since the tech didn’t use a fresh file or buffer. I can only imagine the possibility of infection with clippers or any sharp instrument.
Never again.

So i went to this nail shop for the first time. i work down the street and needed my Holiday nails so i went in. was busy and friendly. they did a good job on my feet as well as my hands my nails are great and a lot of people stop me and ask where do i go. i’m trying to find a nail shop home that i can grow with but this one is cool. no complaints price was cool i have paid more for worst service.

This place could certainly use a makeover, its not exactly a spa retreat atmosphere, and the music often seems to just get stuck on static and no one fixes it. Still, I keep coming back because they do a skilled job for a low price. They are fast and I always get accomodated within a few minutes of entering. Out of all the places that I have tried in the past few years, Finest Nails pedicures seem to last the longest. It would be nice if it were a soothing, beautiful place to spend an hour, but ultimately I get pedicures to keep my toes looking nice as consistently as possible, and Finest Nails is the best place to make that happen.

I been going to this place for years now and I always been pretty chill with their work considering the manis were $ 8(they are $ 12 now), I would bring in my own nail color because their nail color collection sucks!!! It’s old and it will chip the next day. The last couple of times I went in I didn’t bring in my own color so I chose one from their selection. Once she started applying the color I could tell it was super old and I nicely told them I know it’s not your fault but these colors are all old, I cant afford to bring in my own color and tip you, and with the price increase means less tips for you. Where is the money going? Not to new nail polishes thats for sure. Also the place looks dirty and cluttered. You guys lost me as a client.

To start, this salon is definitely a low budget bang for your buck kind of a place. Long story short –ONLY GO TO ANGEL for your nails and don’t let anybody else touch them.
I’ve gone to several salons in the past for acrylics nails and she’s the best. I usually have a problem with my nails lifting but ever since I’ve had Angel do my nails, I’ve been very happy.
As for Pedicures, I usually go elsewhere because I prefer the entire tranquil spa experience. However, I’ve had a few ladies do an easy color change on my toes and I wonder how they botch things but it happens. So if you want things done correctly, only see Angel.
Make sure you make an appointment too. Angel is very sweet and actually listens to her customers.

This place sucks… and I live around the corner… I really dislike giving BAD reviews. however my nails looked trashed after 3 days… the older woman in the nail salon is a scam artist, she will put fake nails where you don’t need them as the younger one is engageing you in conversation. straight up the only one in this nail salon that KNOWS what she is doing is ANGEL… if you can’t get Angel… walk out!!! The other two will try and part you and your money with the fake nail con… Stay Out Of This Place…

Not bad for an average-​priced (actually a bit less than most) salon. Only 1 person spoke English while I was there for a pedicure but the ladies were very nice and efficient. It’s walking distance to my house so I’ll go back but I’ve been to better. It’s no fuss, in & out, so if you want a service done efficiently & effectively, this is a good choice. They even wrapped my feet in suran wrap so the paint wouldn’t chip as I walked home in my socks/​shoes — good trick!
They’re also open Sundays which is a good benefit.

Quality is the last thing I think of when I think of this place.
Yes the women working there are nice. I’m sure they do hard work, however the technique and overall atmosphere I expect when getting my nails done does not meet standard expectations here.
It was the night before halloween and my nails had a gross chipped purple that I needed fixing. I ran in (since it was a block from home and 3 blocks from work) asking if anyone could just give me acrylics. They looked extremely confused. After explaining twice what I wanted I just said «ok just give me a basic french tip»…
The woman doing my nails trimmed my nails so short you could see my fingertip. Which looks extremely odd with a french tip. The overall paint job looked decent… for 8 hours until it started to chip!
On the table next to me an older woman had a bag– probably 2 pounds full, of garlic that she was just peeling and putting it in another bag. No gloves, and no paper towels. just raw garlic on the nail table. WTF
The nails look ok but the lines for the tip was a bit crooked in some areas. My total was $ 11 plus tip. For a botched nail job in a janky salon in and out within 15 minutes. I guess I didn’t over pay. But I will never come back here again.

I see I’m not the only one who came here desperate! Do not come here for getting your brows done. Originally I went to MiNi Nails to get my eyebrows waxed and a pedicure but the lady was not there. So, I got the pedi and walked home, figuring out where I could go on my way home to tame the hairy strips of hair that were above my eyes. I had come to Finest Nails before I found MiNi Nails. They were ok so I went.
An older lady (not the usual younger lady) waxed my brows and when I went to check them in the mirror, I saw, to my horror, that there were 4 visible thick hairs still hanging on for dear life. I wanted to ask her if she thought her work was acceptable, if she would pay $ 10 for a wax and be satisfied with that… sigh but I did not. I would have liked NOT to leave a tip but sigh… I did leave a modest tip. Instead, I decided I would take my revenge and leave them a meh rating on Unilocal.
Don’t come here! You will be disappointed. There are plenty of other cheap, clean places you can bring your business!

i went here thinking it was another place i found on Unilocal with high reviews, and boy was i off… they did the worst job i think ive ever had. i get there to get acrylics taken off that were messed up from a previous salon in
and get new ones. so they start prying my nails off using a fake nail! they tore half off my real pinky nail off and it was gushing blood so i said i just wanted to leave fake nails off so they can heal, after about 10 mins of argueing they wouldnt let me not have them, and they had already glued tips on but not acrylic but they said they couldnt take them off. so they put hella shit on my nails that felt like acid, and still here 2 hours later with burning nails, in agony… and on top of it they just look stupid, they rounded them when i told them square

I too was in desperate need of a pedicure and waxing Oh A-​C-​C-​I-​D-​E-​N-​T. I CANNOT STRESS HOW HORRIFY, AND HOW UNSATISFY I AM OF THIS PLACE.
I walked in after my gym class, at 7:20, I left the shop at 7:40. So what does that tell someone about their CUSTOMER SERVICE? I picked out my color, got my pedicure, and they were closed at 7:00, but did not turn me away, and ended up forcing me to buy these UGLY pair of slippers, DESPITE HOW I SAID NO, THEY JUST CHARGED THIS TO MY CREDIT CARD. UGH! and forced them on my feet before it dried, made some ridges, and just dappble on layers of nail polish to make it look passable. OMG! I cannot believe how HORRIBLE this is. I give it a big fat F, and and U for it’s unsatisfying, horrible customer service. I cannot STRESS AND EMPHASIS how IMPORTANT IT IS TO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. IT IS DEFINATELY NOT CHEAP EITHER.

My stars only go to Angel, the nail technician who did my nails. She did them REALLY well and this is from someone who’s been getting gel for years! I usually never cheat on my usual person, but I was impressed by some strangers nails and then ended up at Finest Nails. The salon itself and the other people there maybe get 2 or 3 stars, but ANGEL gets 5! I’ve gotten sooo many compliments at work today! (Oh, yeah and they were more affordable than my usual place).

I ended up here one Friday evening when I was desperate for a fill and running out of time before my date. I left with a big smile on my face. My polish stayed on for a week, even after I’d been out building sand castles on the beach.
Pleasantly surprised by the experience I went back last week for another fill. OH the HORROR.
They didn’t buff it down and I have ridges on my nails. Two of my nails have indents in them. I had to ask three times for them to clean up the polish they’d sloshed all over my fingers.
And I’m 90% sure that there’s an air pocket in there.
I’m going somewhere else to get the nails taken off now. Just not worth the hassle of getting them fixed.

The only way you’ll end up here in the first place is on accident.
And I’ve tried and failed to come up with reasons for you to return.

I was in desperate need of a manicure, and I do not know this area very well so I thought I would give this place a try. I did not have time to go to refresh or true spa and needed something quick on my break from work. This place is fairly clean very inexpensive. I had a great 10 minute massage for 10 dollars. The polish is still on my nails after 2 days which is a plus. too bad I think I was the only real women in the place. I did not have a good eyebrow wax experience and am now uneven.
