Julia is an amazing esthetician and super nice! Her studio is welcoming and cozy. She is funny and gives great customer service. She has online booking that is really convenient. She specializes in Brazilian waxes and also has skincare.

Julia is amazing! My entire friend group goes to her and I have never heard one bad thing from anyone. Reasonably price for a wax and super convenient if you live in the North Beach area. She is super flexible with changing times if something comes up last minute. Highly recommend!

I recommend Julia to all of my friends and they have became regulars too! Because of her professionalism, skill, and personality it is the BEST Brazilian without a doubt. I even would go as far as saying I look forward to my appts so I can see Julia!

The best in the business. Seriously. I’m bi-​coastal and needed to find someone near our SF apt and Julia pops up all over the net. My best west-​coast find so far. She’s so nice and friendly and funny (one really needs a sense of humor in her business) and never for one second did I feel uncomfortable in what could otherwise be a *very* uncomfortable situation — I know you know what I mean. Lol. Make an appointment and get your wax done there. You won’t be disappointed.

Julia is absolutely amazing! I just moved to the city booked a teenie weenie bikini and it was awesome. I have been waxed by the same person for 6 years and moving it was a big deal for me so I am definitely coming here from now on. She works around your schedule and is so great at what she does. Julia’s studio is a hidden gem in North Beach. She is friendly, accommodating, & incredibly good at her wax & facial services. It’s so easy to schedule an appointment with her & she is quick to change time if necessary. She’s warm and welcoming and really, really good when it comes to waxing. Her online booking system is great and she’s always very accommodating. Julia’s studio is a little hard to find, but it’s the next building over from the Post Office, go up two flights of stairs and you should see an office with an open door and a giant chalkboard labeled ‘FIG.’
Over the phone and upon first meeting her, Julia is so friendly and bubbly she put me right at ease. Before coming in while trying to book an appt with her, she offered me some great tips to prep for my wax. When I came in early for my appt she greeted me at her door to let me know she was finishing up on a facial on a client, and directed me to her cute waiting area. She told me to help myself to the wine she provides — total sweetheart — and had me fill out a short form about skin type.
When my turn came she brought me into her studio and gave a little tour, provided me a towel, wipe, numbing spray and a pomegranate lollipop to eat so distract myself during lol. Maybe it was my crazy concoction of ibuprofen and hour earlier, a little bit of wine, numbing spray and the lollipop… Or just Julia’s pure skill. Either way my wax was 98% painless which I have never ever experienced in my last 3 years!
Julia uses different types of hard waxes and soothing oils for a less painful waxing and she will explain her methods too. She’s very easy to have conversations with and takes her time! She’s gentle and very thorough — this isn’t the «wham-​bam-​thank-​you-​mam» type of waxing I’m usually used to.
It’s a bit pricey: $ 60 to start out and prices go down as you book more appts with her bc she’ll chalk them up as «upkeep»

I love Julia Arnau! Julie is the absolute best! She is so gentle, a professional in the wax department and can make any day brighter and a lot more gorgeous! She can turn any frown upside down. Her studio is remarkable, her products are TOP NOTCH and if you’re looking for the best wax west of everywhere — come to FIG! No joke. Ask for a VASPARKLE! :) :) You wont be sorry.
She also plays great music, offers wine/​beverages and has CHOCOLATE. What more could you want? I do and would recommend everyone to come here.

I’m hooked. I recently started brazillian waxing about 6 months ago. As I generally love the results, the pain was too much to bear. Little did I know, I just needed the right waxer! Her space is very relaxing with dim lighting and scented candles. The numbing spray was a godsend!!! WIne didnt hurt either. I also had a lip and brow done which I’ve been doing for 10+ years and I’ve always gotten VERY red afterwards. This visit, I left and went straight to an event with very little recovery time. I’m sold! Thank you Julia! I’m a lifer…

Love love love Julia! She greets you with chocolate, wine and other fun goodies AND she provides numbing spray prior to getting your services which is so helpful! Julia is warm, friendly and makes the entire experience comfortable.

Julia is amazing! I love absolutely everything about Fig waxing and am SO happy that I found her in the neighborhood. The best part is that it is seriously an almost painless Brazilian — which I literally did not think was possible. The value cannot be beat for $ 45 loyalty Brazilian waxes. She is also super friendly, the studio has a calming spa atmosphere, and she always has fabulous candy!

I love Julia! Best wax I have ever had for a few reasons: 1) She serves a mean Fernet cocktail before your treatment 2) She let my girlfriend hang out with me in the room while I was receiving my treatment 3) She was very accommodating when I asked for a last minute brow wax. Just to name a few… Would definitely recommend all of my friends to come here for their next wax appointments.

Julia is absolutely amazing. I’ve been seeing her for over a year after she was recommended to me by a close friend. She knows exactly what she’s doing. The atmosphere is welcoming, comforting, and even calming (which is saying a lot for a place that waxes some sensitive spots!). I’m also an athlete and ingrown hairs can be a big problem for me. Julia knows how to work with people and customize waxing and treatments based on individual needs. She’s the best!

Julia is the BEST! I used to absolutely dread getting brazilians because the pain was seriously unbearable. Then, wonderful Fig Wax Studio came into my life and completely changed the waxing experience for me. Julia is a true professional and makes you as comfortable as possible. I was referred to Julia by a friend. SO happy. She is fantastic. I work in the beauty business as well, on the sales side, so I have tried numerous places I go into. Julia is by far the best.
I did the Fig & Brow combo. I drank like 4 cups of coffee that day, not paying attention to the service I was having later that day, so I felt a little jumpy. Julia gave me a glass of wine, some chocolates AND numbing spray lol. I literally barely felt any discomfort. She took her time & was very thorough, not to mention a sweetheart.
Maybe I am crazy, but I feel like my Brazilian lasted longer than it ever has before. Smooth a lot longer, which made my normal 3 week visit impossible. Had to push it to 4. I will be going to see her again this week.
This is much better than a chain waxing studio experience. I liked European Wax Studio because I liked my waxer, but this is WAY more relaxed & not rushed like there. Very soothing & comfortable environment, unlike the hospital feel. Plus, other places don’t give you treats =)
