Review long overdue. Visited from Chicago and still dreaming about their mascarpone toast over brioche. Fresh seasonal fruits and coffee. Can’t beat that :)

After wanting to try farm: table forever, I finally got to eat here! I came with a friend on a weekday morning and was surprised to see it crowded (side note: what jobs do these people have that allow them to eat here on a weekday?!). Maybe because the place is small so it can get crowded easily. We waited in line for a while, which only built up the anticipation. I ordered the lavender latte (I’ve recently been obsessed with lavender anything) and the daily toast with fruit. The lavender latte was really good — not too sweet or lavender-​y. The toast with fruit was also very good and I like that they use seasonal fruit so its fresh. For extra crunch, they add pistachios on top, which I love. While the toast was delicious, it wasn’t very filling. I was hungry a couple of hours later, which usually doesn’t happen after a brunch. Also, the prices aren’t the cheapest so I kind of wish there was more to the toast. Maybe next time I’ll get the toast with egg, which should be more filling.
There isn’t a lot of sitting room so be prepared to either a) glare at people who are done to give up their table or b) eat standing up. Luckily, my friend and I found a table as the other party was leaving (no glares needed).
I recommend coming here and checking it out at least once even if its for their tea/​coffee selection.

What a lovely place! It’s very small inside and you go to the counter to order, then they will give you a numbered sign. There’s a couple places to sit inside and a few tables outside — plus these neat wooden steps with potted plants!
I got a croissant sandwich with ham, cheese, and a hard-​boiled egg cut in half and placed inside the sandwich. It was small and almost $ 8 but worth it because this is Union Square, the place is cute, and it was super tasty!!! My mouth was happy.
Then for under $ 5 you can get a lavender latte. GET THIS LATTE. The lavender taste is not strong but it is there and delicious.

Farm to table was full of surprises for my friend and I, to say the least. The name itself is intriguing because you can expect some really fresh ingredients. We parked on the street a block down (SF you know, what else would ya expect?!) and we walked on over to find that this place is tiny. TINY. Like barely any standing room for 4 or so people and a small COMMUNAL table that takes up most of the rooms space. There’s also some interesting bench area thing in front to fit some people and soak up some sun and 1 actual 2 person table in front as well, but that area was packed like crazy. Being my awkward self I kind of wanted to take our food to go, but at the same time I didn’t want to walk down the block to our car with my egg sandwich thing in hand, taunting me to take a bite, but having to fight my urges for fear of spilling all over myself. I just have not mastered that whole walking and eating or drinking at the same time thing! If I had attempted that, then the name of this story would be, «Farm to Table to All over my shirt to Tears: A day in the life of Maleah.»
ANYWAY, that led us to sitting at that small communal table (that seats maybe 5 – 6 people) since a group of people had left and the table was up for grabs. So I squished my butt in and sat with the other strangers who were experiencing this with us. ONTO THE FOOD! The menu is VERY small but honestly, that’s what’s expected in farm to table type of places-it’s about the quality not the quantity. We ordered the Egg on Croissant (hard cooked egg, melted cheese, baked ham, greens & crème fraîche), the Daily Toast (toasted focaccia, mascarpone, seasonal fruits, and pistachios), matcha chai latte, and mocha (60% tcho chocolate). My friends daily toast tasted awesome and looked beautifully instagram worthy, but NO DOUBT my plainer looking egg croissant was totally better, oh my goodness. I don’t know what it was that made it so packed with flavor, but it was great. Take note that things may change a little by what’s in store each season! If you ever have the chance, this place is a noteworthy hole in the wall type of thing to stop by!

Came on a Sunday morning and the wait was not bad at all. You order at the counter and then find a seat. They do bus the tables so you don’t have to bus your own.
My friend and I shared the daily toast and the egg on croissant. I loved the soft brioche and the mascarpone on the toast. The egg on croissant was also really good, although simple. I feel like the egg should have been more soft boiled and sliced instead of halved.
I’d probably visit again if I were in the area but I wouldn’t make a special trip out.

Farm: Table is one of my favorite little breakfast spots in the city. The menu is simple yet everything is tasty. I ALWAYS go for the breakfast toast. You think fruit and toast for $ 8? This is no ordinary toast. The toast is thick and delicious with this white creamy spread, topped with the freshest fruit; blood orange, blue berries, and blackberries. (Fruit varies) So satisfying and surprisingly filling. Their fresh juice is also a must try, it’s a small glass but I love the combo of pear and pineapple. The Green Matcha tea is a must try.
The place is tiny, there’s one table inside. Additional seating is offered outside, they have a couple tables, and some counter space to stand next to. it’s definitely more of a grab and go, or eat and leave type of place.
Overall love the staff, the food, and the variety of teas they offer.

Found this place next to my apartment and I am loving it.
For a weekday morning around 9, the place was packed. Keep in mind though, the space is small if you want to sit inside and outside tables were all occupied. I had to change my order from dine in to to –go
Ordered a mocha with soy, egg ham toasted croissant and a cheese Danish. I must say that I absolutely loved the crunchiness of the bread and the taste of ham with egg. It complimented each other real well. Highly recommended!

Cute & hip lil’ place to grab a bite! And by lil’, I mean it… this place has a few spots to sit inside, otherwise you’ll have to try your luck with the few outdoor/​sidewalk seating spots.
We came in at an off-​time on a weekday, so no wait! Woot! The service and servers were great and attentive. We ordered the ever-​so-​popular Daily Toast and also an Egg Croissant sandwich to share. Both were delicious! Not the most filling, so it was a bit pricey considering that, but definitely taste/​presentation-​worthy!

I had the best breakfast in San Francisco, sitting at a small table on the side walk and eating food from farm: table. If you asked me what my favorite part of San Francisco was, I would answer with eating. If you asked me eating what meal? I’d answer with breakfasts. If you followed up with which breakfast meal was your favorite? I’d answer with my meal at farm: table.
Now, I couldn’t give it a full five stars because part of me was sad about their prices: portion ratio. And a little annoying voice in my head told me I could make these breakfast meals at home at a fraction of the cost. But I was in San Francisco, and really small-​annoying-​voice-​in-​my-​brain, where would you have time to gather all these ingredients and make a daily toast for yourself? Exactly. So suck it up and give them four stars because no matter how much emptier they made your wallet, you still enjoyed a darn good meal.
Husband and I ordered an egg croissant, the daily toast, and a cup of their coffee. Loved all three things we ordered. I started eating the daily toast and really enjoyed all the different kinds of fresh fruits they piled on it. Then I looked across the table and saw my husband munching on the egg croissant and I had a strong sense of food envy. We switch plates half way through and I finished of that egg croissant because I hadn’t realized that a hard boiled egg on a croissant was the best tasting breakfast ever. They I reached across the table and snagged the last bite of the daily toast out from right under my husband’s fork. He retaliated by downing the rest of the coffee. Did I mention that this San Fransisco trip is part of our wedding anniversary celebration? Well it is and we love food, I mean, each other.
Good stop and worth it to have breakfast here. You know, if you have about $ 30 to spend for breakfast.

Yum! Super small space but love that it’s a small list of options and all fresh and scrumptious. It makes it easier to pick.
The homemade cereal was good– nice balance of yogurt, fruit, and cereal.
The egg croissant was toasty– perfect egg, sauce and toasted bread.
The daily toast was beautiful and delicious– in season fruits, marscapone and thick toast. What’s better?

Farm Table is a cute place to stop for a quick fast bite or if you are willing to wait for a sit down breakfast. But unfortunately cute is the only wining factor here.
The place is small with rude workers excusing themselves rudely to get by you in this tight little place while you are ordering your breakfast at the counter.
There is literately one communal table inside and a few makeshift seats along a garden type of wooden thing and 3 small round tables. It seems cute at first but once you try maneuvering your dish and a coffee, it does not seem so cute anymore.
Prices are steep but it is to be expected in the city. I ordered a fruit toast which is one of the items they are known for. It consisted of crème fresh on a brioche toast and some seasonal fruit atop. It was tasty but not memorable enough to come back to. I also shared a steamed milk drink which was sprinkled with lavender and other spices which was very comforting and delicious.
On top of dealing with the rude staff and cold service, you then are expected to clear your own plates and must place them in the correct bins if you don’t want to experience further rudeness. There are way better options in a city this big to reconsider this eatery.

Love this place! It’s cute, quaint, and inviting. Although a really small place, they have an outdoor area with seating in the front, and on a nice day, it’s definitely the place to be. They are super friendly and hospitable! You order and go sit down, they bring you your food when it’s ready. Overall great experience.
The food is fresh and just so yummy. I tried their lavender latte (they make the syrup in house with real lavender flowers) — it was light and sweet. Great for a treat. Their ‘daily toast’ was fluffy, crisp, mildly sweet and full of flavor. This was also a nice treat… It’s going to be a regular spot for me for sure!

Everyone gets the fruit on toast thing but I am trying not to eat bread because of Passover. So I opted for the house cereal. This was delicious and filling. There was a perfect balance of yogurt to berries to dried fruit (I never like overdone raisins) to nuts.
I went on a Monday morning 9:30ish. It’s a tight space but full of locals who are on their way somewhere so a space opened up pretty quickly at the square communal table inside.
Service was friendly, fun and quick.

Came here for breakfast with some girlfriends. Place is cute, but line is long even at 9:30AM on a Sunday. It’s more of a bakery than what I originally thought it would be — a sit down breakfast café. There is some standing space for 1 or 2 people groups outside along the sidewalk.
The menu is limited with a few breakfast items. l, and between the four of us, we pretty much ordered the entire menu. The croissant looked good, but we thought it was weird that it came w/​a hard boiled egg. The house cereal and toast seemed decent. I got a blueberry kouign Amman and thought it was overly buttery sugary and decadent though tasty. I also tried to order a house juice, but they didn’t have any juices today!
4 stars for decent food, but minus one star for no seating, and more important they had no juices from their menu today!

Good service and mediocre beans and limited food selection. Sandwiches is just ok and fruit with bread is overpriced in my opinion.

This place is absolutely tiny and honestly it’s not clear what’s do farm to table about them. I had the daily toast which was good (⁴⁄₅) and a cappuccino. Service left a lot to be desired since my coffee arrived 15 min after my toast. They handsomely forgotten about it and had to be reminded several times.

I made plans to come here with Nina Y. for our weekly Sunday brunch. It turned out to be pouring rain, but we went anyways. First I thought how nice it would have been to sit outside in sunny weather, but instead I had to pounce on some of the new spots at the bench inside farm: table. This place is tiny! Most people stopping by grabbed a latte and pastry, but we were intent on trying the delicious-​looking food.
While I was waiting for Nina to arrive, I ordered a Pug N Honey Latte, which was amazing! Perfectly sweet. Would recommend. We split the Daily Toast and Egg Croissant. Both were so good. The Daily Toast is topped with mascarpone cheese and tons of fresh fruits. Makes an aesthetically pleasing IG photo if I do say so myself… the Egg Croissant was also very filling and tasty. If you’re coming with a friend, I would recommend splitting.
The service is excellent. They do a great job at keeping the line flowing. People sitting at the large bench don’t seem to stay for hours, so it shouldn’t be a long wait for a seat. Would recommend trying to come here during nice weather, ordering food and coffee, and having a seat outside.

Classic small café with limited options of what I would consider food that you could easily make at home. But that’s the appeal of these hipster joints, and yes I caved too for that beautiful (and very simple) daily toast. Decked with fresh fruits and marscapone spread, the daily toast is more picture worthy than anything. For a whopping $ 7, you don’t actually get a bang for your buck.
The matcha chai latte was decent but I’ve had much better in NY. Seating inside is limited to one communal table, but I loved the high table seating and park-​let they have outside. A smart design move!

This is what you should expect before coming here:
— There is only one table inside to share among all the customers. The table can fit about 8 people all around. If you plan on dining in, you must arrive early. We arrived about five minutes before open time during a non-​busy week day and we were the first customers. A few more customers trickled in shortly after. There are seats outdoor as well but not a whole lot.
— Portions are tiny. I ordered the Empanada which suppose to be a meal but the portion resembles half an appetizer. I ended up adding a ham and egg croissant to my order which toppled my breakfast bill over the $ 20 mark (tip included). To be fair though, the food here is locally sourced so it makes the price a bit higher.
The overall experience was good. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed their meal. Two out of the four people in my group ordered an extra meal because of how small the portion is for the Empanada. You should just know what to expect before coming here. Its not filling unless you don’t eat much and don’t care about protein intake as much either.
I recommend ordering the toast with fruit on it (Daily Toast).

Not what I expected. I’ve had this place on my bookmarks for weeks and was finally able to stop by during brunch time on a Saturday morning.
This place is super small and I mean super small. It’s right next to an apartment building entrance and I bet they hate the foot traffic this place brings. It has two small round tables for outdoor seating and ONE single table inside that seats about 8. It’s a neat idea to meet new people, cause there is no real privacy in conversations.
There was a line out the door when we arrived (I always take this to be a good sign) and there was no seating available. My fiancé stood outside and scouted a table while I ordered.
They have a limited menu– 4 items. I had the famous toast and my fiancé had the ham/​egg sandwich. While we waited for our food, about 10 people walked up and left after realizing the wait and small space.
The toast: it’s a thick slice of bread with delicious fresh fruit. It was more like a dessert toast than brunch. I really liked it, but not loved it.
My fiancé enjoyed his ham egg sandwich, but commented it wasn’t anything mind blowing.
I love the concept of farm to table and felt better eating consciences food.
I’m gonna be honest– this place needs to move to a bigger spot. Seeing how well they are doing, I hope they can soon.

Der Laden hat nur 4 Gerichte gehabt. Zu Trinken gab es aber eine grössere Auswahl.
Im Großen und Ganzen sehr gesunder und ausgewogener Frühstück!

Ich glaube, ich habe meinen Lieblingsplatz zum Frühstücken in San Francisco gefunden. Er ist zwar etwas von meinem Hotel entfernt, aber der kleine Spaziergang hat sich voll und ganz gelohnt. Und obwohl der Laden etwas abseits vom Schuss liegt (für Touristen zumindest) war selbst um kurz vor 8 schon einiges los hier (soll bedeuten: früh da sein).
Dann gab’s für mich den Daily Toast (bei den Bildern konnte ich gar nicht anders) und einen Iced Coffee, der meinen noch etwas gejetlaggten Geist auf die Beine brachte. Das Toast war einfach super lecker, die Früchte schön frisch und saftig, darunter ein Mascarpone Cream Cheese für die nötige Süße, ohne einen wieder aus den Latschen zu hauen. Soooo gut! Mit etwas über $ 7 nicht super günstig, aber jeden Dollar wert.
Zwar gibt es nicht viele Sitzplätze, aber draußen gibt es noch ein kleines «Parklet», wo man umgeben von Blumen genüsslich seinen Kaffee schlürfen kann. So glücklich bin ich schon lange nicht mehr ins Büro geschlendert, ich komme ich definitiv wieder her! Vielleicht direkt morgen.
