Evergreen Tree & Gardening Service

I contracted Evergreen to clear out a yard that had been neglected for five years. It was overgrown with thorny blackberries, volunteer trees spouting from the lawn, and weeds and vines everywhere. Elias and his crew did a thorough and quick job of clearing the place out, while maintaining and pruning the few healthy plants left behind. The yard is now set up for a nice revival, and I’m very happy.
Also, I was on a tight budget and negotiated the scope of work beforehand. The crew did everything they said they would and a little extra, too. I will be happy to use Evergreen again. Highly recommended.

Elias and his crew were fantastic! They worked very hard throughout the day, and turned our winter-​growth jungle into an cohesive landscaped garden. Elias knows his plant species and offered several recommendations. He showed up on time, is an excellent communicator, was careful of our property, and was responsive to our requests. We will use him again, and I recommend him to others without reservation.

Elias and his crew were amazing. My yard turned into juggle world and I needed to do something about. My neighbors were also working on there home which didn’t have a yard and were interested in gardening my yard (we grew up together and just bought housed next door by coincidence). Elias came over the day I called and gave me a bid and said it would take him 1 day to clean out the yard, cut down a tree, and take down a swing set. I got other bids that were higher and said they needed a couple of days «it’s a big job». I asked the contractors working on my neighbors house and they said the price was great but couldn’t believe it could be done in a day. I hired Elias and he and his crew came right on time. They gentle moved items in the garage that were in the way. They covered my washing machine and dryer to be safe. Five hours later my yard was totally clean. I couldn’t believe how fast they were in addition they cleaned up any dirt trails and left my yard, garage and sidewalk spotless. The workers next door couldn’t believe how fast and how good Elias and him team were. I’m more than satisfied and HIGHLY recommend this company

Evergreen did a spectacular job for us! Elias gave us reasonable bids for pruning both our front and backyard trees, and for clearing, leveling and covering our backyard with a lining and redwood chips, the perfect response to the current drought. All the work was done on time, completely cleaned up and outstanding, and it turns out that our backyard is now the envy of all who see it. I can’t say enough good things about our experience.

Elias was recommended by a friend and the experience warrants full 5 stars.
He came by promptly to give quote for project involving comprehensive tree trimming, branch and pine cone removal, etc. on very tall (~70 foot) Monterey Pine on hillside location, with tree overhanging four other lots adjoining the backyard location.
Elias and a polite team of four worked about 8 hours straight to put tree back in shape — and then cleaned up leaving the entire area, including all the neighbor’s backyards and the street in front of house in pristine shape.
Price was lower than other bids, too!
Highly recommend using them or getting a quote.

Elias and his crew were awesome! I would recommend him for anyone that needs tree/​bush removal and tree trimming.
We moved into our place late last year, but we didn’t give our backyard the love it deserved. Over the past year, it was in disarray and we needed to clear the numerous bushes and few dead plants/​trees in the back.
We contacted Elias for a quote, he came the next day and even though he wasn’t expecting to work that day, he was able to pull together employees to get the job done! He was able to clear out our backyard in a few hours — starting at 10:30am and finishing just before 2pm. Our backyard looks great and we have great plans for it coming up!

Also want to add, it was an abnormally hot Saturday in San Francisco and Elias and his crew worked through it. Can’t thank them enough! They did the job quickly and at a reasonable price.

Elias and his team were great and super easy to work with! We were able to confirm appointment via text (totally my style!) and they showed up on time and prepared. They were very careful with how they trimmed — removing what they needed to while preserving our backyard privacy — which is important to me. They were quick & efficient and left the yard cleaner than they found it. He stayed true to the estimate he gave and was super honest. He continually checked in with me to make sure all was in line with what I wanted. I will definitely use them again!

BAMBOO… let me repeat that BAMBOO… lovely to look at but notorious in its ability to grow prolifically! We recently embarked on a substantial backyard improvement project involving demolition of existing surface and removal of and extensive amount of plant material. The revious owners had planted clumping bamboo (variety of types) around the periphery of the property (70 feet) and we had allowed it to grow unchecked (some of it to the height of 30 feet). I called multiple garden and tree services and left a myriad of messages, few of whom even bothered to call me. Elias called me back the same day I left a message with the office and was able to come immediately to evaluate the job. His quote was more than reasonable (considering the amount of vegetation and workload) and we were able to book him to come out the same week. He arrived with his team at 8:30 am and the ENTIRE job was completed by 4 pm. They were incredibly hard working (literally chopping out the root structure by hand with pick axes), meticulous in their approach and removed every scrap of plant material — in fact you’d never know that the bamboo had ever been there to begin with!!! Bottom line, this is your go-​to guy for tree and yard service.

Elias and his crew were fantastic. He helped trim trees in two separate locations for us. On his first visit, he demonstrated a very deep knowledge of each type of tree with great recommendations on what to do, and he gave fair prices which he stuck to later on (and actually gave a slight discount).
He showed up promptly for the two subsequent appointments and his team worked quickly and efficiently. Our trees look great now, and we will definitely be using Evergreen the next time we need them trimmed!

I called Elias on Sat to give me an estimate for tree trimming. He came by within a few hours and even told me about my trees and showed me photos in a book. Always nice to know what is growing in your yard!
Only two days later, Elias and his team trimmed my trees and they look better than ever. He also did a great job tidying up when done.
I’ll definitely be using Elias and Evergreen again!

I tried to set something up with Elias. He kept canceling or never showed up. Completely wasted my time. Obviously not easy to do business with him when there is no customer service.

This is my second review of this business. We have continued to use Evergreen Tree and Gardening for tree maintenance for the past two years. Consistently, Elias and his crew did a great job. Yesterday, we needed the tree in front of our house trimmed before a construction project starts. We were worried that trimming the tree back so far from the house front would result in a lopsided and unstable tree. Elias did an excellent job meeting our contractor’s needs while keeping the tree healthy and beautiful. He takes the time he needs to do the job right, and the prices are really reasonable.

I have two trees in my front yard that were in need of pruning. I called Evergreen and Elias arrived right on time to inspect what needed to be done and quoted an extremely reasonable price ($ 150 less than what we paid the last time we had the trees trimmed).
The workers showed up right on time and did a great job, being meticulous with their work and clean up. I will definitely use Evergreen the next time I need my trees trimmed!

Elias and his team are extremely friendly, professional and do great work. He took a job nobody else would take and he got in done in record time. I called him in the AM he came out to give me a quote and 2 days later it was done! I recommend Elias, very nice and respectable man.

We hired Elias and his team to trim our extremely tall side trees, for which previous arborists would not even consider trimming due to their height. Well, the first time they tried to do it they could only trim the bottom half, so the top half was still sticking out all the way. We asked them to straighten it out, and unfortunately, they pretty much slaughtered the entire tree while doing so. I am absolutely dumbfounded.

Elias and his crew tackled a large job in a matter of hours. Pruning, weeding, brush removal, and hauling. Great price, very professional. I will definitely call on them again.

Elias is a master in tree removal! Careful, both for his safety and the safety of your property. We had a Stone Pine that was damaging a retaining wall and had grown too big for the space.
He removed the tree and except for the missing tree, made it look like no one had been there. Great clean-​up, very friendly. Helped us reuse some big rounds from the trunk. He hauls away to a recycler, so the tree doesn’t end up in landfill, but will be composted!
Highly recommend him and his team.
