Eucharist Church

I appreciate this little, growing church. They are not going to hype you into an experience, and on the other hand, they will not bore you with a flat liturgy. It is an Anglican church startup, which means the people who come really want to be there, and this shows in the warmth and ease in the atmosphere. As Anglicans, they use participatory prayers and confessions of faith. I find it beautiful and meaningful to realize I’m doing this with people all over the world as has been done throughout Christian history. The liturgy and eucharist are very grounding and renewing to me, and it’s awesome to find a Protestant church that offers the eucharist (communion) every week.
Depending on who is leading worship (the singing part), it can be contemplative or more energetically celebratory. I enjoy both styles, and like that the various people who lead the singing are free to express their own personalities. I don’t think anyone feels like they’re in a box in this church.
This church needs families with children, which they want and are prepared to minister to. So if anyone has kids, they should know this is a place where they are welcome.

While I don’t participate in the life of Eucharist (since I live in Boston) I couldn’t resist the opportunity to say that I know the leaders and they are solid, Jesus-​following, down-​to-​earth folks who have literally given their lives to join in what God is doing in SF. Check ‘em out.
