Ernie Louie – State Farm Insurance Agent

Allyson, Jacob and Ernie are the best insurance in town! I have been with Ernie and his team for about or over 8 years, and I know I have been a pain. What ever my needs were there quick and very courteous with there response. The staff there are very efficient! I wouldn’t trade them in for no other insurance company. It’s a pleasure to have them as my insurance agent. Whatever insurance is needed, Ernie and his staff can take care of it for you. Ernie is a great guy to work with. He is genuinely concerned his clients’ well being. Can’t forget to mention his staff. Very nice to speak to, and very helpful as well. They give very warm welcomes whenever you step into their office. The location of this office is also very cozy and very conveniently located. Definitely a pleasure to have chosen this office as my insurance agent.

I recently switched all of my insurance policies over to Jacob in Ernie Louie’s office. He has been nothing but helpful and thorough during the process. I was even burgled at the home which I had moved out of and Jacob helped me realize that I might be covered under the contents policy which he wrote for me on my new home. I am a Realtor and I recommend Jacob to all of my homeowner clients without hesitation. Ask him about Umbrella policies — you probably need one!

I never thought that an insurance agent can be so friendly. You would assume that handling insurance business every day for the rest of your life would be boring (considering I never knew how insurance works till State Farm), but Ernie greets you with a happy smile and provides you with all the information needed to know about your insurance. As a 3^rd year college student, I actually want to switch to business major because of Ernie. This guy literally looks like he’s having the time of his life helping his customers. Heck, I don’t even consider myself Ernie’s customer anymore. Ernie treats you like you’ve known him for years. He is that welcoming. He’s always making sure you’re comfortable and providing you with refreshments whenever you visit the office. (I kind of freeload the coffee, but who wouldn’t!)
It’s really hard for me to just leave State Farm after the service Ernie has really provided. The first time I signed up, I was so confused with my insurance policies and how deductibles work that I started panicking. Was I spending too much? Was I spending too less? Should I get insurance for my residency as well? Being telephone-​shy, I mustered up the courage to call Ernie. Guess what? Easy pickings after a 15 minute phone call. Ernie calmed me down by elegantly answering all my questions. It has literally been a smooth ride since the first time I signed up a few years ago.

I’ve been with Ernie for car insurance since I think 2002 or so. All of those years have been great.
But really, this review is about Jacob Louie, his account rep (and weirdly unrelated even though they have the same last name). I’ve recently been adding policies left and right due to refinancing my home. I’ve thrown so many curve balls at Jacob and he’s knocked every single one out of the park. He responds to emails inhumanly in like 15 minutes or less, with his research done and whatever random request answered.
I wouldn’t want to set people’s expectations so high, because we all know we’re dealing with insurance, but Jacob every single time has delivered waaayyy beyond those expectations.

Ernie Louie has been handling my insurance policies continually for over 21 years. He and Jacob are so helpful, informed, and responsive that I would not even entertain the notion of going to another carrier. They have insured me for many different kinds of policies – auto, Tenancy in Common, condo, and single family residence. Their condo coverage is especially impressive. I have had the best of service and, most importantly, complete peace of mind. They receive my highest satisfaction rating.

I just got off the phone with Jacob and he was so helpful. All other insurance people I’ve ever dealt with, they’ve been ridiculous half the time not knowing what i really needed and insuring me for stupid things. But, he helped me a lot and was really patient with me (i didnt know my car’s odometer so i had to run outside and downstairs and get it) which i appreciated, a lot!!! He even helped make sure my policy was super affordable (boo being under 25 years of age). Thanks, so much Jacob! I’m glad someone referred me to get insurance through your company. I’ll be sure to call back and get more discounts when i head back to school full time. :D

My first real dealings with Ernie and Jacob were regarding my car, which was totaled in an accident. In all things they were courteous and helpful, and I got my reimbursement in a week. In a bad situation, I was glad to work with people I trusted.

I’ve been a client of Jacob’s for a couple of years now. I needed to switch my car insurance over from NH to CA and wanted to stay with State Farm because of the rates I got back in NH. I think I browsed the list of agents on the SF website and randomly chose Jacob, as his location was near where I use to live (Outer Richmond District). Well I got lucky with my random choice. My previous plan in NH was tied in with my father’s so I didn’t pay for it. I was dreading the switch to CA but Jacob gave me very reasonable rates (I have a ticket or two). Geico and Progressive, even AAA, where trying to bankrupt me! Plus there were all the discounts I got for having been a long time client. I’ve since included another driver, another car and renters insurance to my plan. Could I get a better rate? Maybe. But I’m not interested in creating a headache by searching around. My current rates are reasonable and drop from time to time (mostly due to age) and the caring, professional and prompt service I always receive is above 5 stars. That alone makes insuring with SF worth it. As long as I’m living in CA I have no intentions of ever going elsewhere.

Lucky for us, a good friend referred Ernie Louie to us. Ernie has been managing our insurance for many years. He exudes a congenial, comfortable and unpretentious presence. Time and again, his seemingly instantaneous and superb services have been speedy, thorough, and flawless. In addition to his reasonable rates, you know you have a caring professional to depend upon.
