En Route Studio offers:

— Custom Designed Upholstery Fabrics + Reupholstery.

We design rugs and fabrics based on our clients’ ideas. We have the ability to create a completely original rug or fabric for your chair to suit a décor, color, or theme. Our prices are competitive with standard upholstery workshops.

Several options are designed/​proposed via email images to show how it will look in clients’ homes.

Contact us with a photo of a chair, or thoughts about a new rug for a custom quote. Our clients are nationwide, and we provide delivery options.

Meghan at en route recovered a mid century chair for me. It was so easy to work with her, she really listened to what I was looking for and was able to provide me with enough samples and choices but took the overwhelming part out of the process. Also in the end, she took steps to make sure the chair was perfect… even replacing some of the foam when it wasn’t exactly right for me.
The end product — amazing its like a work of art in my living room! I feel like i have a really custom piece of furniture that I hope to keep with me forever.

After doing alot of research on furniture reupholstering options in San Francisco I landed on En Route Studio. From the start it was a pleasure to work with Meghan and her team. She lays out all your options for fabric, labor and materials upfront in a very clear way so there are no surprises. The prices are reasonable and the workmanship is amazing. She took my old shabby chair and turned it into a piece of artwork. Every detail of my chair was perfect. Not only does the studio do reupholstering but silk screening as well so if you are looking for a one of a kind fabric or an extra touch to your furniture I recommend the silkscreening add on. If you are lucky enough to be in San Francisco it is also wonderful to see their studio and talk one on one with Meghan and collaborate on ideas. She is endlessly patient during the creative process of figuring out the perfect fabric color or design you are interested in. A wonderful local place to make something old new again!
