I’ve been meaning to try this since it’s near the office. Well today was the day! I went in and found lots of diners eating at the table and people waiting in line for their Chinese food fix. I had chow mein with General Tso’s chicken and string beans and tofu. The lady really piled the food on. Food was a tad greasy but it wasn’t that salty and I did not detect any msg. For some reason the tofu cubes were mushy but I liked my entrees. Chow mein feels like spaghetti. My box was $ 6.10 plus tax. Really a deal! They also sell dum sum. $ 2.40 for 3. Place looked clean. Unbelievable considering the neighborhood!

I haven’t been here in a while even though it’s just around the corner from the office. I went today and it reminded me of why I don’t come here as often as I’d like. Cheap Chinese food. It’s ok. Edible enough. But… the WORST service. EVER. As soon as she the server makes eye contact, she looks at you with such contempt. It’s almost as if you’re a burden to her. I’d rather pay good money for good food and decent service. I’m staying as far away as possible.

Food was average, service was HORRIBLE. EVERYTHING we asked was an immediate«NO.» Can we sample something? «No.» Can we have a little more veggies/meat on the on the entrée? «No.» Are you going to make more of the item? «No, we’re not making anymore for the day.» Not even a «sorry» or sound of interest. My friend even went up and said something about how rudely we were treated and she just said«oh, okay.» Totally horrible service, would not recommend. Even if the food was amazing, the service made the food unsatisfying. If I could give lower than a 0 I would, but I HAD to write a review about this place, so this will do.

You get what you pay for. Cheap, tasty, and questionable entrees. I love their dim sum. The ladies at the front are generally nice… sometimes they act like don’t want to be there, but they keep it professional for the most part.

It’s just like Panda Express without parent company franchising controls.

A decent cheap Chinese fast food place in San Francisco. I go here about once a week. Not the best, not the worst either. Their food is consistently fresh. I have yet to have a subpar experience. 2 item combo is less than $ 7, and they pile it high.

You get 3 items for the price of 2 during the happy hour, for about $ 6. Be warned that the portion is huge! Decent food too, as far as the Chinese takeout goes. We had general tso’s, sweet and sour pork, rib, eggplant, and couple of other chicken dishes. They were all good. Next time we’ll just order one serving and share. And put some more in the jar for tip.

If you’re on a budget, but want a meal that will get you full, the two-plate combo here is the way to go. It’s typical take-out Chinese food: chow mien, fried rice, general tso chicken, etc. They also have chow fun, about one to two veggie dishes, and some dim sum options. A two-plate combo is around $ 6, while a three-plate is $ 8. There are a few places to sit, but the restaurant is across from the 19 bus stop, which brings in some characters. best to take it to go if you can.

I stopped here after eating lunch at Burmese kitchen. All we had was thai iced tea and some sesame balls. It was all good

the food was very fresh, they had all the typical Chinese take out dishes, like the brocolli with beef, dim sum, egg rolls, sweet & sour, fried rice, pot stickers, soups, seafood & popular meat & vegetables dishes, much better quality than Panda Express they make excellent Salt & pepper prawns, one of my favorites. prices were very reasonable, it’s kind of like a cafeteria style café very good Chinese American cuisine.

Serviceable chinese food. Maybe even greasier than Panda Express, but dirt-cheap. Not the cleanest in appearance, but I’ve never had any problems. The tofu dish is quite good. Cash only for the two-item combo. Friendly-enough staff.

Hands down the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. Got the 3-item combo because I was extremely hungry. Got the salt and pepper pork, garlic eggplant/tofu, and chow fun noodles which was an extra dollar. I had a couple of bites of each and that was enough for me to close the to-go container and chalk it up to experience. As in never again. Should have known better when I grabbed a soda bottle from the«refrigerated» case and it was warm to the touch.

Was looking for Chinese food in the area and saw Emperor’s Kitchen and decided to give it a try. Noticed its like a downgraded version of Panda Express. I would also say the portions are a bit small for Chinese food. The food here is a bit too greasy too like the chow mien and the generals chicken and there is way too much veggies in their food. I would say it good if those on a tight budget but if you want better food I would suggest going to Golden Kim Tar.

I don’t come to these«Chinese» fast food joints often unless desperate. Today I came here with a group and«dim sum happy hr» sign out in front just made me roll my eyes… However for a 2 entrée combo for $ 4.89 it was pretty decent! There was a big variety of entrees to choose from: you got your chicken, pork, veggies, etc. — Chow mein(bland, but chewy in a good way) — Green beans and fried tofu — actually really yummy crispy green beans and savory tofu — Orange chicken — good flavor with good chunks of chicken not just fatty pieces. A few tables for dining in and they actually plate your food if you dine-in.(thumbs up for eco-friendly!) Had enough leftover for a lunch tomorrow! Decent Americanized– Chinese food for a wallet-friendly price.

Emperor’s Kitchen is a typical chinese restaurant with scoop to go options, food precooked at the steam table. lunch combo specials w/chow mein or fried rice: 1 item 399 2 item 4.89 3 item 5.75. 3 – 6 p.m. special: 3 items for the price of 2… dim sum review only: dim sum offerings slim on memorial day. siu mai looked dark and mysterious. har gow –pristine white but these were the last 4? so passed. *bbq pork buns(3) 2.25 –pretty small buns with nice fluffly dough containing semidry, tender bbq pork minicubes. –actually not bad but not a good value compared with other dim sum takeouts, thus 2 stars.(3 star quality) take outs –may have awaken cashier/owner? from his boredom upon entering –professional, smiling, friendly service. –metered parking(even on memorial day!) didn’t pay, already ran out of change. got some change here. nice guy! –if i worked around here, i would definitely return. parking a major issue. chinese lessons mandarin parking meter ting che ji shi gi

Tight budget and needed to order food for a work luncheon. Luckily, the party trays at Emperor’s Kitchen were extremely affordable. Each tray contained 5 pounds of food. Entrée tray for $ 22 and side tray for $ 15. But I ordered their party tray deal. $ 88 for 3 entrée trays and 2 side trays. Score! I was quite nervous about the taste and quality since I’ve never eaten there. Good thing people found the food to be fresh and without much grease. Whew. === Their lunch combos are cheap too! 1 entrée item with rice or chow mein: $ 3.99 2 entrée items with rice or chow mein: $ 4.89 3 entrée items with rice or chow mein: $ 5.75 Hot & sour soup: Pretty disastrous. Watered down and barely any ingredients. But it was free. Oh wells. Eggplants with tofu: Huge pieces of eggplants! Cooked perfectly where it still had bite to it and not overly mushy. A little bland in taste. General chicken: Lean meat in perfect bite size. Light sweet spicy glaze. Quite good. Chow mein: Chewy noodles with a bit of grease. Not bad. Overall food is average in taste. But definitely a good option for work luncheons.
