Eco Copy

I rented a mailbox at eco copy about 4.5 months ago. I forwarded my mail through the US Postal Service as per usual whenever I relocate. I noticed I wasn’t getting any of my mail 3 weeks 4 weeks in however whenever I would give my new box out to people I would get one up pieces of mail here and there.
Whenever I would come in to open up my box the young man who works behind the front desk always said also check your mail here you might have some in what appears to look like a box of random mail butvwould assume they would just go into my secure p.o.box if they were my name based on what was printed on an envelope.
Today on Saturday March 5^th I went to get my mail and I noticed the piece of mail from one of my employers from last year was opened. in it had tax credit information but confidential important w2 was missing. Incidentally a couple days before my employer from last year asked me for my new address so you can imagine my surprise when I saw my opened mail with missing tax info.
I went to the store and asked the guy about it and he suddenly got defensive and said nobody’s trying to take your mail. I said I’m not accusing anyone I just want to talk to the manager in charge and make him aware that my mail, was opened (clean with an envelope opener). He said his name was Ry and won’t be back for 2 weeks. Then asked the name of the owner and can I get his number and he refused to give me his number and had a hard time giving his name. Then he finally told me was Randy and he says just call him here at the store. I then asked for his direct number and again just said call the store. He defensivelt said nobody’s trying to get your w2 information. I didn’t take anything. he then said that the postman probably opened my mail. They do it all the time. I finally said I never said you took my mail I’m just making you aware that it’s been opened, and it’s my mail and confidential so this concerns me.
I hope I’ll get to talk to the owner Randy but now I have concerns about receiving confidential mail here. any suggestions?

Here is an email I received on March 5 from the sales associate on duty when I came in to raise my concerns about my open mail and missing w2:
«Hey man it’s Bunthan from ecocopy I don’t understand that bullshit you wrote. I always put your mail in your mailbox. Whatever happens to your mail is between you and the post office we don’t tamper with your mail. Why do you have to be such a big female and go behind my back tell me straight up like a grown man only girls go on Unilocal.I gave you all the information and you were still crying. If your unhappy with the service no ones holding il you hostage go someone else so they can deal with the crying.»

Great place. I was having trouble getting my resume uploaded to a job search website because it wasn’t in Microsoft Word format and I was feeling under the weather and the guy who was working there today (he told me his name, but I probably would have butchered it) pretty much did it for me. He also was really kind with an elderly customer who seemed to be a regular. I’ve gone to this place several times and both guys who work there are great. Thank you! You made today a little easier.

Highly recommended to get copies and canvases done in no time. Ry was great to help when I was there.

Went here today and the guy keep rejecting my request… He say he has no 11 by 17 paper, that they are not a printing place, that it’s a place for high standard photo printing only. He pretty much do not want to do anything else… And say we can not do your request please go to fedex.

The customer service at Eco is excellent as all the reviews say! Ry is patient & helpful. He went above & beyond to help me find a lost box that actually wasn’t his responsibility. The whole process took days but whenever I called he took time to speak w/​me & never was grouchy. My package was actually found & his help had alot to do w/​it. I am forever grateful!!!

I must say that one of the Great things about Eco Copy is
the worker Ry Chun !! Ry ‘s customer service is exceptional and he was very patient
when I needed assistance on the computers in the store.
With people like Ry at Eco Copy he makes this Store an amazing place to do business. I highly recommend Eco Copy due to the amazing skills of Ry Chun !!!

This place is awesome!!! Students should go here to print. It’s much cheaper than any other places and the quality is very great! The guy named Ri helps students editing the arts to make it better color and not dark when it prints. He cares about the color result! Not many places care about the result if it’s too dark or if the color is not similar with the computer. I highly recommend this place. I hope I know this place sooner.

I can’t remember how many times this place has saved me and my assignments.
For someone on a student budget and doesn’t have a lot of time, this place is PERFECT! (The other printing places in the city have always cost me an arm and a leg.)
Ry is incredibly helpful and open to any questions, he is a delight to talk to and will even print out what you need done via email.

While having a really enthusiastic minimalist streak, I donated my printer… so…this has been my go-​to place ever since.
First, their manager is always really helpful. Sometimes he’ll even make the copies for me. I can also email them larger projects that need to be printed and they’ll have it ready for me when I arrive! No BS, no foo foo a$$ kissing, just courteous and down-​to-​earth customer service.
Prices are also amazingly cheep, especially for SF. Support your local copy shop!

Wish I could give this a zero star review. I walked in at about 5:15 pm today. I waited behind two young women who we’re being helped by Ry. He noticed me and asked if I had a question (putting the two women on hold, and pressure on me). I asked he if he could ship something for me, to which he immediately replied, «shipping is all done for today». (I wasn’t expecting to ship it today and never said as much). I then said that I wasn’t expecting shipment today, but then showed him the uniquely shaped graphic print I wanted shipped. Ry then said, «we don’t have any boxes to match that». I then said that was interesting since his website says he has different shaped boxes for purchase, and that his service received such good reviews. He responded «that’s right, and I’m Ry». But he still wouldn’t help me.
I walked North to the UPS shop closer to my apartment (by Lombardi’s) and they helped me with everything and even we’re able to place my package on the last truck of the day (I was there and saw it myself). I’ll bring all my future business to UPS instead of the rude and unhelpful Eco Copy.

Ree is the man! Great service, very personable. I love coming in here! Highly recommend!

Ry is super helpful and friendly. He will definitely help you in the best way he could, and they print out and bind my job pretty good. I will recommend people go there!

I’ve had two good experiences here. Most recently one of the owners, Ry, helped me print programs for my wedding service, place cards, table numbers, and a few other things for my wedding reception. I had the designs pretty much done but they needed some tweaking and Ry patiently helped me. Everything turned out great. This place can handle big and small jobs.
Word of advice: if you need personal attention, head there in the morning because the afternoon tends to be busy.

This place is awesome, but mostly because of Ry.
I had an immediate print job that I needed. I called ahead of time and Ry was very helpful. I sent over my image and the prints were ready 30 minutes later when I arrived.
Super helpful. Super fast.
My only comment would be that they advertise themselves as being «eco-​friendly» but don’t provide any information about how or what they do.

Great local gem. I had my portfolio printed there and the copies turned out GREAT.
Eco copy took the time to help me with the file trouble I had and trimmed my full bleed page accordingly. It was printed and bound the same day. They also have a FedEx drop off and computer/​printer service there. I will definitely come back here.

Love this place. The staff are all very sweet and personable, and I always come here for my fliers. The best is that I can email them what I need done and pick them up later in the day. :)

This place is great! Went in to have custom invoices made for my business. Talked to Ry and he gave me a great price and made the process very easy. The invoices came out perfect! I will definitely be going back in the future.

The office I manage needed a reproduction printer who could make bound booklets for proposals we put out. I scoured the neighborhood for quality and price investing in samples from at least 8 other printers.
Eco Copy stood out from the rest. Their competitive prices, follow through with great quality, and laid back attitude mean I don’t even think about going anywhere else now. I take my business to Eco Copy.
Just a couple of weeks ago I ran in there and asked for something with a quick turn around, just two hours. They were honest about how long it would take and still beat their estimated time by 30 minutes! Thank you! Thank you!

This is strictly a review of their notary services. I came into Eco Copy and asked to have two documents notarized. They called for the notary and I gave him the two documents which needed to be notarized. His response was curt– «I can’t notarize that», and began to walk away. I asked him to hold on a second, if he would explain. He claimed he didn’t know how to classify the documents in his notary book. When he realized that wasn’t the issue, he said, «Well, I can only notarize signatures». I told him that these documents would be signed. His response, «I can’t do that.». When I asked why he said «Because I can’t!».
15 minutes after leaving Eco Copy, I spoke to a different notary public in Pacific Heights, who has been doing this awhile, about my documents. That notary said that it’s perfectly straightforward to notarize; a standard paragraph is added to the documents, signed, and then notarized. So I proceeded with that.
Back to Eco Copy: it’s abundantly clear to me the notary public at Eco Copy doesn’t know what he’s doing. The other notary solved my problem in 5 minutes. When in my conversation with the Eco Copy notary, once it became clear in our conversation that he was incompetent, because his explanation for why he couldn’t notarize the document kept changing, he became insecure and responded by being over-​the-​top hostile. My advice is if you need something notarized, and want someone knowledgeable and reasonable to deal with, steer clear of Eco Copy.

I absolutely ADORE Eco Copy. As a senior illustration student at the Academy of Art University, I have to get a lot of stuff printed every week. In my four year career at AAU, I have tried a LOT of print shops, but this is by far the most reliable and reasonably priced place I’ve been to.
After calling around for some estimates this week, I discovered that most print shops were charging around $ 50 for a single 20×30 print, with a wait time of six hours to two days. Eco Copy charged me $ 50 for two 20×30 prints (they charge by square foot), and it took 15 minutes.
The staff is super friendly and very helpful and understanding. Definitely going to them for all of my printing and art school needs. Normally they are open only on weekends, but since AAU has Saturday classes, the owner said he might come in tomorrow morning (Saturday December 17^th) if you have any last minute needs for students with finals.
