Ebony Beauty Supply

I have shopped here a few times now and the customer service has been consistently good… not great but good enough by my standards. Usually there is metered parking in front of the store. They have a decent selection of synthetic hair, different brands, lots of fun colors and reasonably priced for SF. I am not sure about the real hair quality because i have never used it. The employees didn’t follow me around the shop but the owners did. I am white FYI they do it to anyone who comes in. Everyone working there owners included were very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of my questions. 4 stars for good service and hair selection minus 1 star for the beauty product prices — too High on certain Items and maybe get more natural organic products and less generic. I do love that you can get raw Shea Butter here too.

Where to begin?
First, I have been coming here for years. There are a limited number of beauty supply stores carrying black hair care products in the city and this place is one of the FEW!
It is very large and carries almost everything! The price of weaving hair is marked way up though :(however some of the employees will work with you and your price range. it’s all about knowing what you want (what kind of hair, what length) and being honest in what you are looking to spend.
Most of the employees are very knowledgeable in all of the products and happy to help!
But if you are not paying attention they will charge you extra for items!
For those of you wondering why I rate this place two stars but keep returning– the answer is CONVENIENCE!
We all know for cheaper prices on hair you have to buy online.
We also all know the trend is moving towards unprocessed virgin hair which is NOT sold here.
But if you are like me and cant afford virgin hair all the time Ebonys becomes a safe, and worthy plan B.

They are pretty expensive compared to places in the Eastbay but the customer service ROCKS. So I will be back when I can’t get across the bridge!

The Lady treated me with respect. The OLD man called me STUPID! and he was rude and he repeatly call me crazy and stupid he must don’t know without the customer you go out of BUSINESS! I shall never step foot in this shop again. I don’t appreceiate the way the OLD MAN Talked at me and to me. I told my daughterdon’t give them another copper penny.
Good luck staying in Business with the attitude of disrespecting your customers calling them STUPID & CRAZY!
