–We handle all breeds, sizes and ages over 4 months (with current shots)

–We take un-​spayede/​un-​neutered dogs if you have a date already established with your vet for a spay/​neuter.

–We are VERY flexible with our hours and pick up/​drop off needs

–We work with the owners on training: recall, impulse control and basic obedience.

–ONLY positive reinforcement is used. Rewards are praise and/​or all natural treats.

History

Established in 2009.

We have been in the animal service industry for over 12 years. Danielle has been a farm hand, vet assistant and dog walker/​trainer. Dave has trained/​walked/​boarded hundreds of animals. We started this business out of the love of pets and we will continue to help the lives and situations of animals as much as we can.

When we started Doggieventure we had a mission in mind to make dog care (walking) affordable while providing the most attention and love possible. We own 3 dogs (all rescued) and 2 cat (rescued) …we LOVE pets. We believe that dog care should be reasonably priced, safe and stimulating. We know that your dog is like a child to you and a very close member of your family. And in turn, you are a part of their pack. We will become an extension of their pack and hopefully a family friend of yours to help keep your dog healthy both mentally and physically.

I have been using Doggieventure for my dog walking and boarding needs for the past year. I have a very high-​energy, large dog and after moving to the city to live in a small apartment with a full-​time job, I realized I quickly needed a dog walker for her everyday while I’m at work.
I found Dave and Danielle’s business advertised on Craigslist and have had nothing but the best experience with them. They are extremely affordable and she has clearly been trained very well during her daily dog walking groups and comes home happy and pooped.
I would recommend Dave and Danielle to anyone that might be looking for a great, affordable dog walker in San Francisco.

I put my 2 year old black lab into boarding for 10 days whilst i had an unexpected trip. Everything went smoothly, and they even had to take her for an extra day due to confusion in scheduling. However, When lucy (dog) returned she was infested with fleas. She has been continually scratching and gnawing at herself. She was 100% flea free when she left for «doggieventure», but when she came back she is decidedly not.
To me this is a complete laps in care. checks should be made, and the environment that the dogs are in should have anti flea precautions taken. THis is a complete nightmare for me and poor lucy. I would never expect that i would be paying for a service that would infect my dog with fleas. BEAWARE!

tl;dr: Dave and Danielle are great. Indy loved his walks (and was exhausted when he got home!) and I felt extremely comfortable with them. They also dogsat for two weeks and provided great communication about how he was doing.
I moved to the city seven months ago and my partner in crime — my Beagle named Indy — moved out three months after. I was concerned that he wouldn’t adapt to apartment life from having a large yard in Missouri, so I wanted to have a dog walker pick him up when I was at work and show him some love.
I met with a couple of walkers and either their prices or availability didn’t thrill me. Then I met Dave and he was such a nice and relaxed person with the perfect rate and timing for Indy’s daily walks. Indy was walked every day I was at work which took a lot of stress off my shoulders.
Even though I work at a dog-​friendly company, I know Indy is enjoying himself on his walks more than he would at the office.
Dave and Danielle also provide boarding. I went on a two week business trip and arranged for my co-​worker to watch Indy. He was too stressed by her kids so she called Dave who awesomely agreed to help us out. Their boarding rates are also extremely reasonable and I was comfortable knowing Indy was with his pack. When I returned home, Indy was waiting my me at my apartment — such a treat!
Overall, I’d highly recommend Doggieventure. They also have easy online payments and it’s always fun to see the occasional photo of your dog on their Facebook page.

I just can’t express how kind Dave (and Danielle) have been to my doggie! Dave has been walking Pinto since I adopted him from Rocket Dog Rescue a couple of years ago, and I can tell they have a mutual love for each other. In fact, Dave’s one of the only dudes in Pinto’s life whom he trusts, which makes him indispensable.
When Dave initially started walking Pinto, he knew I was concerned about how shy he was and that I wanted him to socialize with other dogs and people. He’s made an effort to make that happen, and always has funny little stories about Pinto’s progress.
One of the best things about working with Dave & Danielle is that they are really flexible about watching him overnight — even over the holidays. Since they live outside of the city, they have a big yard where Pinto can run around. Definitely look D&D up if you’re looking for a dog walker or a sitter!

Dave & Danielle have been great with my dog Baxter. Dave has been walking him for over a year and a half now, with occasional boarding duties. They have always been friendly, professional and communicative, and Baxter is always really excited to see Dave when he gets picked up for his daily walk. Their prices are extremely reasonable for what you get. I highly recommend them!

My experience with C and S (which stands for Chief and Squaw, by the way) has been very positive. The real test is that my dog, who has a lot of separation anxiety, rushes towards Dave happily every time he comes to pick her up. Both Dave and Danielle have been very helpful and accommodating, and clearly they love their work and are passionate about the subject of pets and let care. I recommend them!

Because one user seemed to have an issue with cat sitting, I thought I would write an update of my review to make it more current. I just had Dave & Danielle cat sit for Oliver over the Thanksgiving holiday. They were incredibly accommodating to my work schedule, and Dave dropped him off early Monday morning, when most people are still asleep — just so I could get to work on time without having to pay an extra day. (Thanks again, Dave!)
Oliver has never had any health problems coming back from Dave & Danielle’s. I give him regular flea medication and provide his own food, and after 3 visits he has still never had a problem.
Yes, Oliver does get a little grouchy coming home, but most cats don’t respond well to change in atmosphere for a few days. Any cat will be a little lethargic and scared at returning home after being boarded, no matter where you take them. I trust Dave & Danielle and think that they go above and beyond for their clients.

MICHU is a she, NOT a he. You should know that since you took care of her twice for 3 – 4 days both times. You guys never told me she made a mess the first trip. Had that been the case, I would have not decided to give her to you guys again as you live way too far. I suggest changing your Unilocal address to reflect the fact that you live an hour and a half outside the city so people can make a real judgement on how far away they want their pet to travel.
And for the record– we were NEVER asked to prove vaccinations. I have all record of correspondence between myself and your company.

We rescued Peter on January 17th of this year. He is a happy and energetic 2 year old dog, but socially inexperienced. He is not an aggressive dog, but more on the let me hide behind your leg type dog.
This is slowly changing with our new dog walkers, Dave and Danielle. Ever since they started taking Peter out for walks while we are at work, he has started becoming more sociable with other dogs. Instead of staying close to our legs when we take him out on walks, he is now venturing out and playing with other dogs. I partly contribute this improvement in his social skills to Healthy Paw’s consistency in socializing him in a controlled environment such as the enclosed dog area at Golden Gate Park. They also take him to fun places like the beach.
Dave and Danielle are prompt, consistent, responsible, and love animals. I can tell that Peter loves them because he wags his tail when they arrive to pick him up. This is a big deal for little Peter. Since we rescued him, he has consistently barked at friends and family that walk through our door while hiding behind our legs. His manner of running to greet them with a wagging tail says a lot about the time they spend with him.
Dave and Danielle also offer spa services at incredibly reasonable prices.
OVERALL: Dave and Danielle of Healthy Paws are a bargain! They are reasonably priced, extremely flexible, and responsible. You can tell that they love animals and will always keep your pooches’ best interest in mind. Yes, I even trust them with my house key.
