NARRATIVE
I have been in such a foul @$$ mood this past week when I got the invite in the mailbox for a free house party at Oasis in Oakland on Sunday… from 4 pm — 10 pm. dj morph was on the bill, so what’s not to love? I finally dragged my @$$ out of bed after spending the entire weekend in it and at 9:30 I was at Club Oasis, barefoot, and dancing. Talk about attitude turnaround…

SUMMARY
I’ve never walked into Oasis before. The bar upfront does not reveal the massive dance floor in the back. It reminds me of El Rio in the West Bay. Open space, lights, a great sound system to fill your body with the beats the djs have to throw down.
SERVICE
Excellent. The Divinyl Echo djs served it right… old school funk, house, latin flavors thrown in… I was barefoot and grooving within 3 minutes of arriving.
RESTROOMS
Single stall and clean with toilet paper. Also some interesting graffiti from the patrons.
SUGGESTION
Play more EAST BAY PARTIES!
The Divinyl Echo djs are sick. My suggestion is to the Bay Area dance fiends to check them out fo’ themselves!
