Bi Coastal with offices in San Francisco, CA and Newport, RI.

Born and educated in New York with frequent trips back to her her family’s farm in old world Europe, as well as to Asia, South America, and Central America; Dimitria has gained a broad perspective by intensely studying the overlaps of historical and classical forms wedded with modern styles but with deep roots in cultural and ethnic tradition.

Dimitria recognizes that while not all classic forms are timeless, they can often be massaged or re-​purposed into modern styles that her customers are thrilled to wear.

Dimitria has long been mentored by three of the top leading experts in historic and antique jewelry, all of whom have been appraisers of high acclaim on PBS’s Antique Roadshow.

I went to Dimitria to get my wedding rings appraised. She is professional, pleasant and really helpful with the other bits n pieces Ive collected over the years. She was prompt for our appointment, talked straight about the value, and followed up exactly as she promised. Highly recommend you go to Dimitria… and skip the others out there who are more interested in selling you something.

I really can’t say enough about Dimitria. She is kind, patient, helpful, and professional. Me and my girlfriend came to her looking for an engagement ring and she was not only completely patient with us, but extremely informative. She took the time to educate us on all we would need to know to make the best decision for us. She’s not just looking for a another sale. She really cares about her customers being happy in the long run. I would recommend her to anyone and look forward to doing business with her again.

My review of Dimitria goes beyond a great customer service experience! At the time, I contacted Dimitria I had decided to sell my wedding rings. Both having the knowledge of what I had originally paid for the rings and then the bigger part, the emotional bond made it a challenge for me to reach a fair selling price on my own. Dimitria got me through the process! My not knowing anything about F/​G VS, etc., she was patient with me and she educated me so that I could advertise and sell my rings with complete confidence. Yes, her background is impressive and she is very knowledgeable, but what I had not expected was her understanding and consideration of my feelings to the rings. Of the jewelers I consulted in SF and NY, Dimitria was the most impressive and who’s advice I decided to follow. She is an incredible person to meet. The selling of my rings will be more remembered for the way in which she handled my sensitive transaction. I look forward to contacting Dimitria again, but next time it will be a buyers transaction!

We went to see Dimitria to get my engagement ring appraised. We were worried about whether or not we overpaid because we purchased it abroad and are basically clueless about jewelry. The ring had an emerald gemstone which made it especially hard for us to know whether or not we got a good deal.
Anyway, I scheduled an appointment online but had several questions prior to our meeting. She answered all my emails very quickly and was professional, detailed, and responsive.
Our actual meeting was nothing but absolutely positive. Her office was very clean and comfortable and she performed her appraisal right in front of us. She gave us a lot of great information about emeralds, buying jewelry, and what to expect from the whole process. We received our appraisal right away and she even sent me a educational video about emeralds afterwards.
I don’t have anything negative to say about my experience. I highly recommend Dimitria!
And my ring appraised for more than we expected. Woohoo!

I have been buying jewelry from Dimitria for well over 10 years. I purchased my wife’s engagement ring from her, and wouldn’t have trusted anyone else with this. She listened to my budget and style requirements, educated me on what I was buying, and supported the sale after the fact when the ring needed a slight adjustment. To this day, I feel like I know my stuff when I look at diamonds b/​c of what she taught me. No pressure sales here.
Since then I have bought a variety of pieces (both new and estate) from her for various occasions, and even bought myself a «right hand ring». I’ve referred friends and family to her and she has treated them right. She’s definitely someone to be trusted when buying jewelry.

Dimitria helped us select our engagement and wedding rings way back in 2000. She was and is professional, courteous and easy to work with. Since then we have relied on her for her expertise and advice.
In 2005 I wanted to give my wife a sapphire and diamond pendant necklace, and again I worked with Dimitria. She found an amazing sapphire and designed a custom setting to match some of my wife’s other pieces. Great design and very reasonable price. Best of all– my wife cried (tears of joy, c’mon people) when she received it!
In 2008 I wanted to buy a large ruby ring for my wife and we worked with Dimitria to source the ruby and the setting. It was another great experience and my wife loves her ring.
