Die Maschinen (DM) is the foremost and longest running Industrial Club in the San Francisco Bay Area. Touring through underground venues, it most recently went «above-​ground» and found a new home at the Cat Club during the Summer of 2011.
SETUP
Founded in 2004, it has never compromised it it’s music format. DM’s motto: «We’re an Industrial club in the San Francisco Bay Area that has had one mission — Keep Industrial music LOUD!»
Whether promoting the talents of Industrial DJs in the Bay Area or from outside, DM creates a tight, synchronized format that patrons, fans and dancers can rely on to enjoy Industrial music from around the world.
VENUE
Recently, the Cat Club has allowed DM to expand it’s music horizons by providing TWO rooms of simultaneous Industrial stomping, both in the FRONT and the BACK ROOMS, and in so doing created one of the most dynamic and energetic music events at this venue.
«SUPER CHARGED-​ELECTRICITY!»
DM capitalizes upon it’s connections in the Industrial-​scene and brings incredible talent to the Bay Area. In September, DJ Franck HBomb — Founder & DJ from the famous L.A. Industrial Club DAS BUNKER — brought his famous «POWER NOIZE ROOM» to DM. In November, the members of CoRE participated in a special demonstration of suspension.
DM MUSIC GODS (The DJs)
But DM would be nothing without it’s DJs. Like a STEEL framework that everything depends upon, they are the heart & soul of this Industrial movement:
* DJ Makita is one of the founders of DM and also the longest running DM resident DJ. And yet he is still the «most MYSTERIOUS» one of the bunch! [No one knows for sure if he jets in from NYC, Moscow, or Buenos Aires (or loads the pick-​up and drives from Fresno. He’s just too cool for us to know fersure!]
* DJ Shatter is the «Power Source» (and we are talking Nuclear /​Warp levels) that keeps DM running smoothly. Love him or hate him (in fact most of us hate him, which is why we love him so much), his only concern is that you have stomp-​worthy good time on the dance floor,.
* DJ Unit 77 is the «hardware behind DM» — he handles logistics and sets up the club so that it looks like a «Night of DieMASCHINEN» should.
* DJ 10.29 is the «Creative Force» behind DM and brings it to the masses through websites, blogs and music lists.
These are the gentlemen that make up the HURRICANE of ENERGY known as DieMASCHINEN!
«AND AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT…»
…the EYE of the INDUSTRIAL-​HURRICANE is approaching once more! On Friday, December 9, there is another special DieMASCHINEN event:
DieMASCHINEN Presents the «INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIAL DJ ALLIANCE EVENT». So besides the exciting roster of the resident DJs, this event will include special guest DJs from around the world, such as:
* DJ JASON HOLLIS (from the Industrial band ENDIF and Club INTERZONE)
* PANZER PAT of EBM Frontline Radio (HOLLAND)
* MIKE DVORKIN (MOSCOW) also the resident DJ of CLUB SURGERY in Menlo Park, CA
So there is more Industrial-​excitement on the horizon.
