I went there about 2 yrs ago. A heavy set blonde woman was talking to 2 customers. I wanted some coffee & something sweet. The bakery clerk kept on carrying a private conversation with the 2 women, who appeared not to be buying anything. I waited another 5 – 7 minutes. She failed to acknowledge me. I turned & walked away as she was now giggling with her«friends.» There was an older couple eating. The male looked at the clerk & then over at me, as I walked out. I wondered if my attire made her think I had no $$(i was still in my pjs Or could it be my ethnicity? I haven’t set foot in there, since my 1st& last experience was an offensive one. Too bad! I live in this neighborhood & support businesses here. Too bad so sad I don’t have a choice of «O» for cutomer service

After picking up lunch around the corner, we decided to pick up some pastries for a snack Blueberry Tart and Almond Croissant — we came around 1:30 and the pastries didn’t taste fresh. It was kind of stale and skimpy on the toppings Their pizzas looked really good but we had already picked up lunch Friendly staff but I don’t think I would come back for the pastries.

Don’t remember much except that I got sick from eating here and the customer service was highly lacking. I will never go back to this bakery.

This little bakery has the best treats! I’ve had their coffee cake, which was delicious, but their almond croissants are to die for!!! Never had anything like it and can’t wait to go back for another one!

Have ordered several pies here, each time thinking the pie would be better than the last time… but it NEVER is. the problem. they skimp on the filling. Example, during Christmas, a pie was ordered. However, the crust didn’t even come all the way of the side and inside, the filling wasn’t as complete as it could have been. Recently, about a week ago, ordered another one, not only was the filling sparse, by that I mean, when you cut into it, there were gaps between fruit filling(as though some was already missing). also, the pie crust was not baked enough in that every time I sliced into it, it was all mushy… It was difficult to get a decent piece without destroying the whole thing. I won’t go back.

Wake up and smell this bakery! The freshly baked goods just lure you in. You can smell this place from a block away. All the pastries look and smell so good. I came here craving a ham and cheese croissant. Unfortunately, they were all gone. Instead, I ordered a chicken empanada and also a mixed nut cinnamon roll. Both were mouth watering delicious. The chicken empanada had a buttery flaky crust with chicken(obviously), corn, and potato stuffing. You can have it warmed up by either in the oven for 7 mins or microwaved for 1 min. It’s worth the wait. The mixed nut cinnamon roll is Yummy! It’s not overloaded with nuts and not overly sweet. I will be returning in hunt for the ham and cheese croissant and other enticing pastries. Also, they accept credit cards with a $ 5 purchase.

Fantastic little neighborhood bakery. I’ve had their cinnamon rolls, scones, and cookies. Their chocolate chip cookies and coffee are what keep me coming back! Great, friendly service makes me happy to walk in the door and give them my business.

Hello, Vivian here! I work here on weekends and I obviously won’t give an actual review because I may sound biased, but I wanted to address a couple of(bad) reviews. Hopefully things will be cleared up :) Feel free to ask me any other questions, but I guarantee you we pride ourselves with hard work and are passionate about what we do.(5 stars for having an excellent working experience with coworkers and customers) Q: I see pastries behind the counter but am told there is nothing left to buy. What’s up with that? A: The food that you see on the racks behind the cashier(and occasionally behind the counter because we have no room) have already been reserved way in advance! The reservations range from a week to 48 hrs in advance. If you keep coming into the bakery and never see your favorite pastry, reserving is the way to go! Q: I’ve seen the workers grab tips for their own, what an untrustworthy employee! Why should I come here if workers feel entitled? A: If you see workers grab tips, that tip BELONGS to them. Say if one worker was at the cashier for X hours and then another worker comes in and takes over the cashier. The tip that is already available in the jar should belong to the one that actually worked the cashier! Trust me, we’re fair about this. Q: I called in advance for an item but when I arrived there was none left! Why would you lie to us and waste our time? A: When someone calls to ask whether or not we have a certain item and we say we have the item, we actually do have it. What probably happened was that the item was sold by the time you arrived(a lot can happen in just a few minutes). We usually have a lot of items stocked but there have been occasions where we run out of pastries(sometimes everyone likes to come in super early all at once and order in bulk!). Again, it’s best to reserve, reserve, reserve! Those are just a few that I wanted to address and this is through MY experience only. I hoped that helped! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Tip: If you happen to bring your dog, we do give out dog treats :)

Hands down the best brownie in the world. Quite a claim, I know, but trust me, I’ve eaten a lot of brownies in my days. Also check out same reviews from other Unilocalers. This place is a total gem.

Hamantaschen! Hot Cross Buns! King Cakes! The morning pastries are wonderful, so tasty and delicious. The cookies are always great, and the variety is always changing. It’s tucked away in Glen Park at Chenery @ Castro, small, limited seating in and out, and there’s always something to savor. Enjoy!

After walking by this corner shop several times after our week-long stay in the Noe Valley area, we dropped by on a whim the last morning in town. Thankfully we did! We ordered a bacon and cheese quiche, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookie, two empanadas and a decadent cinnamon roll to share. The woman helping us was SO friendly and sweet — and the baked goods were DELICIOUS. The cinnamon roll was so light and fluffy, not super dense as I a m used to and the quiche was silky smooth. I had a sliver of the chocolate chip and it was yum as expected, and my friends who had the other items raved as well about how delicious everything was. It’s definitely a small place, with only 3 little tables, but it was a beautiful sunny morning, and we sat outside where two benches are available for you to sit and enjoy your treats. Oh, and I did actually have a latte as well — everything was outstanding, including the customer service.

This place has become one of my new SF weekend habits. I’m partial to the quiche and the pork empanadas. I’m hoping for the day the Kouign Aman becomes one of their staples. Finger crossed. Destinations transports me to a different time with it’s Saturday-Evening-Postlike charm and hearty ‘what can I get for you doll’ from the welcoming staff.

This little bakery has been appearing on all my feeds and I finally had to make my way out to try this perfect local bakery! The woman greeted me at the door with a cheery and humble smile. I ordered a small coffee with a cinnamon butter horn and its the perfect morning combination. The coffee is at a medium-dark roast, very subtle and robust in flavor and it blends perfectly with the buttery flaky pastry that reminds you of something homemade. There’s a hint of cinnamon that doesn’t overpower the pastry and the brown sugar crust on top gives it the perfect crunch to the light flaky bread. The icing on top is a super plus! I told myself not to have sweets anymore… and I definitely did not cheat today! Going to surprise family with their pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving :)

This is not an area of San Francisco I would have any reason to visit, but a wrong bus and a missed connection we can all end up new places. I found this heavenly bakery on smell alone, I had a lovely coffee and a spectacular cheese Danish, Reminiscent of Europe. If your not in the area, it’s well worth the detour.

Props to this cute little family place for having a single gluten free item– and I’m not being sarcastic. Yes, yes, so I burp absurdly loud and get intense stomach cramps when I eat gluten– why don’t I just get over it. Someone recently suggested it was a figment of my imagination, because it was a trend. Well, perhaps obesity is a trend, and lactose issues, and gluten issues, because we eat processed insane food. But– this cute little bakery makes their fresh goods with real, whole, local ingredients. And, they have a gf chocochip cookie. And it was delicious. And I can start sentences with a conjunction if I want to. So thank you, cute stumbled upon neighborhood delicacy in glen park. It made my day.

Well… I had the lemon curd tartlet which I quickly consumed. Then I had bread pudding to go. I came back an hour later for banana cream tartlet! They carry other non-dessert baked goods too – baguettes, etc. You’ve got me hook, line and sinker! Prices= moderate. Spend wisely. Cakes, they make them but they’re not on display. So just ask.
