History

Established in 1979.

I started out as a photographer for Madison Sq. Garden, shooting sports events like the Rangers (hockey) and the Knicks (basketball) in the 70’s.

Later, when working in a camera store, I purchased a 4×5 camera and have been shooting in larger formats ever since.

I moves to SF in 1974 and opened a studio at my present space in 1979.

The light here is spectacular, with large northern exposure, and it has been the mainstay of my wine and food images.

I went digital in 1999 and became an early user of Photoshop and other editing programs.

IPresently I’ve been photographing technical equipment and have created a style of revealing interior features using digital compositing.

I’m also teaching digital applications and image editing at the Academy of Art University.

Meet the Business Owner

David B.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Texas, educated in NYC and have been living in San Francisco since 1974.

Presently live in Marin county with my wife and two daughters, both of whom are in college.

The creature I’m holding is George, a Virginia Opossum, who was a guest in our home for several years until he became a well loved guest of the SF Zoo.
