History

Established in 1995.

David Golden founded daga with a simple guiding principal-​do good work– this means communicating effectively, applying exceptional technical knowledge, and developing focused solutions to meet the needs of our clients for today and tomorrow. In 2003 in response to client inquires we began providing project management services as well. Today daga provides leadership on teams large and small, from green field campus development to the most detailed and intricate remodels.

David is a talented designer who has a broad background in business, science, and architecture which allows him to excel on the most complex of projects, managing teams that require intense collaboration and an intimate understanding of technically diverse systems. His comprehensive background has given him a unique ability to synthesize the sometimes divergent agendas of all team participants.

Meet the Business Owner

David G.

Business Owner

David over 20 years of experience leading numerous projects, both large and small, as an architect and project manager.

He developed his initial passion for buildings at the Brooklyn Technical High School, obtained a double major in Mathematics & Physics from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) with a Minor in Architecture. While an undergraduate he worked as a computer programmer developing financial forecasting software, learning the basics of finance. After graduation he spent a year in Denmark as a technical representative for the financial software he helped create. David returned to CMU for a Masters of Architecture, where he would graduate as the AIA Henry Adams Award winner. Since moving to San Francisco in 1988 David has been an active member of the healthcare design community, and is former chair of the AIA SF Health Facilities Committee.

David lives in San Francisco, with his wife Keena, and his two children Sam and Eloise.
