Still getting my hair cut here after 4 years! I was even brought a beer during my last evening appointment, what more could you ask for!

Daniela is really great! She made a fantastic job coloring my hair. I’ve never met a stylist who has invested that much time and efforts into my hair. I made an appointment via call but she asked me to visit her a few days in advance so that she could take a look at my hair and discuss the color. I stopped by and she helped me to chose a tone that was best for me. She also explained how to care of my hair so that they preserve the new color as long as possible (I have highlighted hair, that usually doesn’t keep the color for a long time). I highly recommend Daniela to everyone who wants to have a high-​quality coloring!

My husband came home with an the most horribly uneven haircut I have ever seen — patches of hair missing, long patches of hair on his neck, varying lengths all around — absolutely horrible. In the span of 30 minutes, my handsome husband became the poster child of a bad haircut. To add insult to injury, he paid $ 60! To look like a sheep shearer took a razor to him. $ 60!!! I have photo evidence! I see great reviews, so either this was an off day, or Daniela doesn’t pay attention to new customers?

I have been coming to Daniela for over five years now. I know I can count on her for a great haircut and style, especially when I have important events like listing appointments and open houses coming up. I was recently in the city and needed a haircut before a large business meeting I had. So I frantically looked for a stylist in the city and came upon Daniela Lorenz. I called over and they were able to squeeze me in at the last moment.
Daniela seemed so busy but she was so kind to squeeze me in. She asked me politely the hair style I was looking for and explained to me how it would be accomplished.
She went right to work and did an absolutely quick and amazing job. My hair had never looked so good in such a short amount of time. She was so sweet and professional.
I got a couple compliments on my hair style at my business meeting later in the day as people noticed it was a fresh cut.
Daniela made my day and I cannot recommend her high enough!

I found Daniela through Unilocal reviews while searching for a colorist who uses Framesi color, which is very high quality. I am so happy I found Daniela! I was trying to avoid driving to the city to have my hair done, but Daniela makes it worth it. She is truly an artist, and a perfectionist, and she has done a beautiful job on both my cut and color. Poor Daniela. I called her after I dyed my hair at home– my hair was uneven and the color turned out very dark brown. I called her wanting to lighten my hair into a light red brown. This was NO easy task and as a result she dedicated most of her day to me! We slightly bleached my hair, I was skeptical, and she assured me my hair wouldn’t be damaged. Daniela was right, hardly no damage.
She noticed that my hair closest to my scalp took color in quite fast. So we decided to bleach my hair in sections… since my hair was 3 colors! I am not kidding you Daniela got her workout that day: from dealing with my long thick hair, to running to the hair wash station to ensure that my hair wasn’t residing in the bleach a second longer than necessary. She definitely thinks outside the box because every other hair colorist I’ve gone to has never taken the time to dye my hair in sections (I’m a special case) but without having to tell her anything we knew that concluding with an even color would require an unconventional system. Better yet, Daniela gave me step-​by-​step explanations throughout the entire process. The color came out BEAUTIFUL.
Ps. She complimented my current haircut and did not pressure me into getting a trim or anything of the sort. In fact she even suggested I continue going to the hairdresser who gave me the cut saying that she recognizes good work when she sees it.

Highly recommend Daniela for Brazilian Blowout! She expertly predicted how my super dark hair could be lightened in anticipation of the process. We went slightly lighter and after my Brazilian Blowout I ended up with a lovely chestnut color. Daniela also left the roots and a small part in front OUT of the process, which creates a bit of natural lift.

I feel guilty only writing this review now but I guess I just wanted her all to myself… not only does she do amazing guy’s hair but she is also my personal life coach, psychic;), and friend. Since she doesn’t use a clipper my hair always seems to grow back just right. Also if you tip well she can also throw in an amazing neck rub!

Daniela is the best stylist I’ve ever seen. It is the first time of my life I am satisfied with a haircut as soon as I walk out of the shop. She is a very professional, but also a passionate and interesting person. Speaking with her is a pleasure. She will take her time to analyze the shape of your face and understand what you expect from your haircut. Simply speaking, she doesn’t simply cut your hair, she wants you to look good!

I have been going to her for 4 – 5 months now and I am very satisfied with her work and professionalism. When I made my appointment she immediately sent me a text message with info about the appointment, which was a surprise, because I had never seen that type of personal touch. And then a day before the appointment she sent me a reminder text, which was very helpful.
I also appreciate her consultation before she cuts my hair, she describes in detail what she is going to do and gains my approval before executing. I drive from San Jose to the city every 2 weeks to get my haircut by her, something I would not do for any stylist. Simply put, she is an exceptional hair stylist! I recommend her highly…

Alas, your search is over. You must see Daniela if you want to get compliments all the time about your hair, get exactly what you want and walk away feeling like you own SF as you walk out of the salon through Castro.
That’s how I knew my hair was awesome; my fabulous random gays in SF let me know as I was walking down the street after Daniela worked her magic on my hair. Ladies, we know our fabulous gays do not lie to us.
My hair has had some serious bad karma. It all started off with a very bad haircut from almost 4 years ago that I sadly named, «The Bowie.» Ever since then I have been trying to get my hair bad into shape. I started off in SF and then I moved to Portland. I have been through at least 10 different stylists (not exaggerating) since then to try and get my hair right. No one has been able to get it right until I found Daniela by chance.
I have had the problem of telling the stylist that I only want a micro-​trim and don’t want my hair cut much at all, then it ends up being 3 inches shorter. I have had bad bangs, bad color, you name it. I would bring in pictures and that never helped. I took to the mercy of Unilocal to try and find someone awesome. I found Hairspace. Jack was booked for many weeks in advance but I couldn’t take my hair anymore and he said Daniela is amazing and I should give her a try, and I did and now my search is over just like yours is.
I came to Daniela when I had been feeling bad about my hair for a long time. I explained to her in detail, like all the stylists before and she is completely on the same page as me. I have already seen her twice and I should have posted this sooner because everyone deserves to find a great hairstylist. From my experience, it has been the hardest journey to find someone amazing. I just hope Daniela is forever a stylist. If I ever move away from this wonderful Bay Area, I will fly back just to have Daniela work her skills on my hair.

Simply said, Daniela gave me the best haircut of my life, so I keep coming back. She is a master at her craft. She is quirky like no other, but that only adds to the charm, and who cares when you come out of her salon and feel like a rock star?

Daneila is passionate, professional, and has an incredible sense of style. She’s extremely considerate, and makes sure she knows the exact a) event (job interview, date, etc.), b) aesthetic, and c) style that you want before she even lifts her scissors. She takes her time, is an absolute pleasure to chat with, and is spectacularly talented — she considers details that I would’ve never given much thought to (jaw shape, head structure, long-​term styling, etc. etc.) and has pretty much become my go-​to stylist after one visit. Highly recommended.

She is such a terrific hair dresser. My brother and my boyfriend was going to Daniela and finally convince me to get a hair cut. (I love long hair and scared from the hair dresser).So, the result was awesome. I just showed her the picture of how I want my hair. She just did it same. She is so professional. She spent hours on it. She exactly knows what is she doing. If you liked the hair cut one of the artist has, just bring her the picture.

Daniela is the best. Not only is she an expert at shape and texture, but she will not settle for anything less than the perfect haircut for you. She uses only top of the line products, that she explains in detail, and give awesome results. As she cuts your hair she is meticulous and thoughtful. A true perfectionist.
I’ve had her both cut and color my hair. Everyone has raved about the color and its the first time I’ve had my hair lightened and I didn’t feel like my scalp was going to burn off! She used extremely gentle Framesi bleach (it did take a while!) and it came out better than I would have ever expected.
She will definitely listen to your thoughts and try to make sure you look great! You should absolutely call.

Ok, this lady is the real deal. I just got back from my first haircut by Daniela. She is a true professional AND artist, exactly what a hair stylist should be. I have very course hair, so it tends to do what it wants. Daniela had a vision with my hair and went to town with it. Trusting the Unilocal reviews that lead me to her in the first place, I completely let her do what she wanted. She employed cutting techniques that I’ve never seen, explaining how symmetry and bone structure played in the getting the perfect cut. I’ve lived in San Francisco and haven’t stayed with the same person for very long just because I haven’t fallen in love with any one stylist; they’ve been just «blah». That changes today. Boy, did she produce! I pledge alliagence to Daniela! Believe the reviews!

OMG, Daniela is the *best* hair stylist I’ve ever had. I come out of her shop feeling like a million dollars and on top of the world. She’s both artist and perfectionist in her work, and that’s exactly what I want in someone responsible for how good I look. She’s amazing, but don’t take my word for it. Give her a try yourself. You won’t be sorry.

Daniela is an excellent stylist – talented, sweet, and hilarious. My hour long haircut felt like only five minutes, and I looked amazing afterward.
She also cuts my boyfriend’s hair and always leaves him looking extra super cute.
