Awesome store to visit. The staff doesn’t harass you while browsing around and are knowledgable and friendly when asked mqny questions.
Alex helped me out and was patient when asked lots of questions and not to mention that he is a super cool guy. Definetly recommend this bran to anyone looking to purchase any riding gear.

Dissapointing to show up and find the shop closed at 2pm with a «we are out for lunch sign» in the window.

So, I wanted to get some new gear to go with my new bike and get some stuff for my wife. Danny greeted us immediately, but wasn’t pushy. He was readily available when my wife had questions about fit and stock of a certain jacket. Danny was very friendly, knowledgable about the products they carried and passionate about motorcycling. I mentioned a problem I have with my current gloves (full metal pro) and he made a recommendation that I ended up going with.
The store itself is well merchandised, stocked with oh so sexy Dainese and AGV products and there are a few bikes in there. Dainese gear is so dope I want to buy different types of motorcycles so I can get matching stuff from here.

Fantastic store and knowledgeable and helpful sales guys! Angelo was very patient and showed me many different styles. I did not purchase a jacket that day and did not feel any pressure to do so. After a few weeks saving up and earning my MSF certification I was ready to get geared up. I went back and met up with Angelo again and he helped me get a jacket, pants, and gloves! This is 5 star service!

I have shopped at this store before and I can’t remember the persons name I dealt with but he was great and that’s why there are 2 stars. Fast forward to today, it is raining and 15 minutes to 3pm. There is a sign in the window stating they don’t open until 3pm… I have a work meeting at 3:30 and I am trying to pick up a new jacket and gloves before I go to work. I try calling the store twice and nobody picks up the phone. I walk around to the other side of the building where the back door is open and there’s an employee outside. Again, it’s pouring rain out and I’m in a suit. I ask the employee if there was any way I could wait inside because it’s raining and I’m just trying to buy a jacket, he says let me check and comes back and tells me no I have to wait outside. I dropped $ 2,000 last time I shopped at this store but after today they won’t get another $ 1. Absolutely horrible inconsiderate service.

I have made two large purchases here and both times, the staff was unbelievably helpful. You definitely get what you pay for with Dainese. It’s well worth the trek up from San Jose if you need any gear.

Great experiences with Alex and Angelo who guided me through my first gear purchases as a new rider. They really take their time and walk you through everything you could want to learn about Dainese gear– comfort, fit, protection, etc. Selection is unreal, such a huge store. Will be returning…

Ugh, I hate this store. Always burning a hole in my purse. Lol
Today’s damage amounted to about $ 1400 while the last time I was here, it added up to about $ 1200… Not to mention I still need to buy a new helmet plus pre order the new racing boots 2016 that they are coming out for the women.
My complaints are that Dainese does not give women (wanting to drag knee) many options, their jean sizing are all messed up. Apparently, depending on the style of riding jean, I can fit from a size 28 to a size 30. Also, they need to stick to or use more of the same color for women. But in general, stop using pink just because it’s for female. Not all females like the color pink!
Angelo helped me the first time I was there when I bought my one piece white Laguna Evo leather and back protector. He was pretty helpful
Today, I had the luxury of having Alex assist with my craziness. He was super helpful and offered me water since I was sweating in my thermal base layer.
Went in to try the carbon fiber helmet, wasn’t fitting me perfect and he offered to let me wear the helmet while I tried on other things in the store.
I guess it’s a hit and miss at this store? Both times that I went, I had no issues with the staff. There are plenty of signs regarding return policies… If you buy the new line and product, it’s a 15 days return policy.
Ugh… Just take my money! Lol

Buyer Beware,
Very rude & arrogant staff. Return Policy is absolutely awful. They will not accept a return on any helmets (even unused, brand new 2 days old)…stating it is a safety risk although they don’t mind selling you a helmet with manufacturing dates that are 2 years old. Current helmets from this company were manufactured in 2013. They say helmets are final sale, even though this is not stated on the receipts. However it does state, no refunds on helmets or items with a discount over 30%. I tried to explain this to their staff when one staff member told me I could not read english. When I responded that I could probably read english better than him, i was told i was making racial slurs and they proceeded to call 911. I was then told to leave the store. The headquarters in Costa Mesa is not much better as I ordered another helmet from them and was sent the wrong helmet. They would not send out the correct helmet until they received the helmet they sent me back. They did however admit to the mistake although they would not send out the correct helmet immediately for fear that I would send them rocks in a box… I was shocked that they would automatically assume the worst from their customers. I would not recommend this business or this company to any person and will no longer do business with this company. If you have to purchase these products, do it through a business like Revzilla that will give you no hassle return guarantee. Thats my story and experience and I am fine with it because I have now learned my lesson to never purchase products with this establishment or any Dainese/​AGV business again. Live and Learn… Good luck to those taking the risk and hope your experience is better than mine.

I have a Dainese jacket which I purchased at Scuderia West about 7 years ago. It’s served me well, and has several thousand miles on it. Like many folks online, I wore through the zippers on both arms, as well as the center zip after the years of use. After calling the Dainese store to see if they might have any replacement hardware, they told me to just drop by to see if they had anything in stock. It turned out I was in luck, and they replaced not only the zips on both arms, a missing button in the collar, and the center zip itself. Furthermore, Alex, who fixed the zippers, had some homemade leather zip pulls which he installed on my jacket. I tried to give him some cash, but he refused to take it. Great service — I’ll make sure to buy my next jacket from these guys.

The best gear I have came from this store. Shelli, the manager, is always utterly helpful and friendly. The employees here are approachable, and knowledgeable, and (a huge plus for me) do not hover over your shoulder while you look around. When I go into the store I never feel like a wallet with legs, neither do I feel «watched». I feel respected and trusted to be a good customer and to ask questions when I have them. I own a helmet, two pairs of gloves, a pair of riding jeans (my favorite pair of jeans) and a jacket from this company, bought at this store, and I use all of these items all the time. Thank you, Shelli and your team.

The two stars I’ve listed here are for Alex, the young gentleman who kindly greeted me when I arrived and let me know where I could place my helmet and gloves and Danny, the salesperson actively walking the floor, who helped my husband and me.
DEAR UnilocalERS!: Prior to writing this review, I took time to contact the Store Manager, Shelli Boherer to give her an opportunity to explain to me why AJ and Gary, two salespeople sitting, lounging behind the counter talking with one another, failed to acknowledge me of their own accord when I walked into the store.
Store Manager, Shelli Boherer was EQUALLY RUDE over the phone and, attitudinally, gave me the same kind of push-​back I received from Gary who, when I asked Danny, our salesperson, for the two do-​nothing sales people behind the counter’s names the one named Gary actually had the audacity to ask me MY name after my husband and I just dropped $ 700 on a couple of jackets! Whew!
Thanks to Gary’s behavior being further underscored by my call to Store Manager, Shelli Boherer, I HAD MY HUSBAND RETURN MY ITEM BECAUSE OF HOW UNBELIEVABLY CLUELESS AND RUDE Gary and Shelli are.
MESSAGE TO SALES PERSON GARY: You CHOSE not to acknowledge me UNTIL I complained about you.
Now, you’re going to hear, in great detail, Unilocalers! about the rest of my experience today and why you, fellow Unilocalers, may want to think twice about going into this shop at all.
We walked into the Dainese D-​Store on the suggestion of Cycle Gear (see my 5 Star review) as I saw a motorcycle jacket I liked that was not in my size. Jason at Cycle Gear referred us to the Dainese D-​Store a couple of weeks ago and we were in the area and decided to come in.
I was initially greeted by Alex, who let me know that there was parking in the back of the building as well as where I could place my helmet and gloves. Alex was courteous, kind, and the only thing I would add he could have done a bit better is to, initially, take time to notice my discomfort, and offer me water (it is quite hot out today) and direct me to the restrooms, which he did when I came back and asked. Other than these two things, once again, Alex took time to acknowledge me and was courteous and I very much appreciated that.
I noted the two individuals behind the counter, AJ and Gary sitting there, no customers around, chatting amongst themselves. I pointedly asked if they carried Ruby helmets. The remarked they only carried Dainese brand items, which I knew already, but thought I’d give them the opportunity to provide me great customer service. The went right back to talking to one another until a tall, wealthy-​looking, Silicon-​Valley WM stepped up to the counter and they both, still sitting, had all eyes on this guy. Duly noted AJ and Gary, duly noted.
My husband and I were both incredibly hot after riding our BMW and so I asked Danny if they had bottled water as the San Francisco BMW Motorcycle Shop (see my 5 Star review) as well as stores like Louis Vuitton and other high-​end stores offer bottled water to their clients while shopping.
Danny pointed me in the direction of a water cooler and we continued to shop while drinking water. We picked out a couple of lighter-​weight jackets for riding, Danny was not pushy but conversationally safety-​oriented when suggesting additional protection for us to buy. I’m on a vintage scooter so not as concerned but was pleased with the service and ATTENTION Danny afforded us and so decided to purchase the body armor for my jacket as did my husband.
As we got up to the counter, both AJ and Gary were now standing, heads firmly in the direction of the same older a tall, wealthy-​looking, Silicon-​Valley WM, paying my husband and I no attention whatsoever. That’s when I made the decision to, first, call the store manager and, if I did not receive satisfaction, which I obviously did not, write a Unilocal!review to share my experience today.
It’s unfortunate when Dainese, a supposedly high-​end store, has employees who fail to act in a courteous, kind, manner and who do not acknowledge ALL clients equally.
Any Dainese gear I buy will be online. Life is waaaaay too short to waste on shopping at stores where some sales people are completely clueless on what it is to provide exemplary client service.

Fantastic store with great service. It makes a big difference having someone who really knows what they are doing talk you through a big purchase like protective gear. The store is bigger than I expected and they really have a great selection of all kinds of gear.

Their selection of Dainese products is large. Originally I thought it was a little boutique that only kept stock of single and rare items but boy was I wrong.
It’s almost like gear Disneyland for adults.
A place where us Bikers can hang out with our demographics and speak the language.
There’s this Asian guy there who’s very down to earth (sorry bro didn’t catch your name). He’s always patient with my wife and I, none of that high nose pushy stuff, definitely kool kat.
Bought a pair of his and hers glove (4– Stroke & Mig C2). Pricey stuff but you’ve got to fork over the beans to protect the digits. I was borned with ten and would like to die with diez!
Enough already, if you’re even remotely interested in motorcycling then you should open up your horizon and bask in the glory of fabulous gears this place has to offer.

Have been here several times for gears. Like most of the people say, salesmen are helpful, easygoing and knowledgeable. The store is well kept and organized.
Their gears are costly though. Some of the gears you can actually buy on craigslist like back protector and gloves.

LOVE DAINESE! This store in particular is packed with amazing gear and experts to help you with anything you need there. Shelly manages the store with exceptional personality and personal touch. They are good at making friends and leading social events.
DAINESE has some of the best gear, best designs, pushing the advancement of high tech protection for X-​Sports. BEST HELMETS, with the highest international safety ratings you can buy. Italian design, much of it hand made in Italy including the AGV helmets.
I recommend custom gear or Dainese. It’s expensive gear, but worth it if you get the right pieces.

Friendly staff who are willing to help you find the right gear for your needs and your budget. Very happy with the gloves I purchased and the patience of the team in assisting me.

Great for women! I needed track leathers, and they had a full run of sizes and styles. Lauda was very kind and helpful. I really appreciated her help and candor.

This is a great shop BUT there are a few problems. I’ll start off with the good first. The employees are all very nice and helpful. I’ve never had a bad experience with them.
Ok, now for the bad. Dainese does NOT make quality riding gear. I own two jackets, two pairs of gloves, pants, and a leather suit. I’ve had quality issues with all but one. Both my gloves have had fraying issues and protective pieces falling off. The zippers broke off both my jackets and have had problems with stitching coming undone on both. These were all problems that developed days to weeks after purchasing and I do not abuse my gear.
This wouldn’t be such a big deal if there was a warranty on Dainese gear. However the shop took photographs of some of these issues and never got back to me. Needless to say, I won’t be giving Dainese any more of my money. Quality issues are not something you want on gear that is supposed to save your life in an accident.
