ISTHAT A SWORDINYOURPOCKETORAREYOUJUSTHAPPYTOSEEME? When walking around Chinatown, I enjoy stopping in every little store. Even though, for the most part, they all carry the same merchandise at close to the same price. I think they’re all pretty fun inside. This store is a little bit smaller than most of the ones we went into. It had maybe two islands of merchandise — but it sure had a lot of the shelves and even hanging above us. It was packed! That much stuff can be somewhat overwhelming to the eyes though. I find that a simple display style keeps my attention longer. One item they were selling that I hadn’t yet seen in the other stores, was a variety of swords. There were actually two other patrons in there: two men inquiring about the swords. I listened to their very serious questions to an employee about whether or not the sword was real. I’m not sure what that means. Even a plastic sword is still a sword. Some of these were hand-carved ones. I think they wanted to know if it was a sword meant for slaying dragons. Judging by the look of amazement in their eye(or look of something!) that was probably next on their to-do list.
